Return Of A Star

Lin Jiao waited for the crowd to stop clapping and cheering for her before she continued her speech. Raising her glass, "Everyone, I would like to welcome you all to raise your glass in a toast. Today I turned one year older into a.d.u.l.thood and I hope you all will give me the blessing for the future." She said smiling at everyone. When she was done she took a sip of her drink and which everyone followed in toasting the birthday girl.

Li Hua looked around at everyone drinking and then looked down at her drink with a smile. Li Ling who saw that her cousin wasn't drinking, nudge her arm, "Elder sister, even if you don't drink you still have to give a face to our host and blessing to Lin Jiao." She said sipping her own drink in the process.

Li Hua glanced at her cousin and without breaking eye contact to a nice big gulp of her drink. When Li Ling saw this action she couldn't be happier, in five minutes she'll never have to worry about Li Hua again. Li Hua who watching every action of Li Ling was having a laughing fit inside because she could practically read her cousin mind.

When the two girls went their separate ways at the beginning of the party, Li Hua was already planning her counterattack. While Lin Jiao might have control over the hotel, she couldn't control every person who worked as an employee. On the first night when she arrived at the Li household, she already made contact with the waiter who helped Lin Jiao give her a drugged drink.

She explained that Lin Jiao was planning something devious and when the plan fell through she was planning to use him as the scapegoat. At first, the waiter didn't believe her words, but she told him that during her party she would come and give him orders to give a special drink to one of the guests. He then had a choice, do as he was told and obey the Lin family or risk harming one of the Li family members face their full wrath.

When Li Hua was busy spending time at the dessert table, a certain waiter happens to come over and talk to her while serving more food. Noticing that she was the lady described by the young miss Lin, he then warned her about the drink. Of course, he didn't know that the one who sent the e-mail was herself so she just smiles at him and gave him so handy advise.

Following her advice, the waiter not only switched out the drugged drink meant for Li Hua but also switched it the waiter who was serving Lin Jiao. After everyone started to drink their glasses of champagne, the waiter glanced at the girl in the fairy-style dress. Li Hua just smiled and took a nice big drink and gave a short nod indicating that he would be fine and should act normal.

Lin Jiao came over and pulled Li Ling away, "Lingling, everything is ready, you just have to lead her to the room." She whispered. Nodding, Li Ling watched Li Hua for any signs of drug activating in order to take her away. Seeing the two waiting with great expectation, Li Hua decided to start the performance with a great mood.

After the toast, Qi DaiYu and Li Hua stayed together and talked while enjoying the party. As they were walking toward the dance floor, Li Hua pretended to feel dizzy and leaned closer to her new friend. Qi DaiYu who saw Li Hua becoming paler started to feel worried, "Are you okay? What's wrong?" She asked.

Holding her shoulder, "I'm okay just a little dizzy." "Really? You were okay just a moment ago, was it the drink from earlier?" She asked leading Li Hua over to the seating area. Putting on a small smile, "I'm not sure but I'll be fine after I rest for a moment." She said in a haggard voice. Qi DaiYu still felt worried so she sat down next to her with a smile, "I'll stay here with you, besides your only one of the few people I actually like talking to tonight." She said which made Li Hua give her a bright smile.

Li Ling and Lin Jiao walked over toward the two sitting down with concerned expression on their faces. "Elder sister, are you okay, you look really pale?" Li Ling said taking Li Hua's hand. "Lingling's right! You look awful, what happened!?" She asked gathering the attention of those around them.

Seeing the scene that they were making, Li Hua sneered inside but put on a pitful and sickly expression. "I'm just a little dizzy, don't worry I'll be better soon and then can resume enjoying your party, Miss Lin." She said in a small voice but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.

While her words went over Lin Jiao's head, Li Ling felt something was wrong by Li Hua's words but she didn't know why. The other guest felt that Li Hua was slightly pitiful, was it her fault she wasn't feeling well. Also, they started to give Lin Jiao weird looks because they felt that she was being a little overboard by pressuring her guest. Since Li Ling couldn't figure out why she felt disturbed by Li Hua's wors, she decided to keep going with her plan.

Pulling her sister up, "Come with me, Elder sister Hua, you should rest in a place more comfortable." She said as Li Hua slowly stood up. The four then walked toward the exit, "This hotel is owned by the Lin family so you can rest in one of the rooms. I have someone standing near to lead you back to the party once you feel better." Lin Jiao said opening one of the hotel rooms with a master key.

Qi DaiYu didn't want to leave her new friend by herself but she felt that she was too pale and a little rest would do her good. "Enjoy your rest, elder sister." Li Ling said shutting the door.
