Return Of A Star

It's been a few weeks since Li Hua entered Chengdu and she was enjoying herself greatly. She was able to get along with her new classmates and was becoming great friends with Qi DaiYu and Xi Xinye. When Li Hua entered the school it was two weeks before the midterm, so when she inquired about joining the drama club she was told to wait until the exam period was over.

At the end of the day, Li Hua was looking forward to seeing the drama club space and hopefully audition for the new play of the season. Packing up her things, she was about to rush out but was intercepted by Qi DaiYu. "Hey, Li Hua are you going to check out the drama club today?" She asked.

Nodding, "Yes. Since exams are over I want to dive into the drama scene. To tell you the truth I'm hoping to audition for the play." Li Hua said in a small voice. "That's wonderful! This year, my group in the design club is a charge of the costumes so I might be able to make yours if you get a role. Come on! Let's go and get you signed up with the drama club president." Qi DaiYu said pulling Li Hua out of the class.

When the girls arrived at the drama club building, Li Hua was impressed by how big the building that was provided for the students. "I didn't expect it to be so big." Li Hua said with wide eyes. Giggling, "This building isn't just for the use of the drama club, from what I know it hosts the journalist club, film club, and has different studios and an amazing stage." Qi DaiYu explained.

Going inside, the girls saw a group of four in the auditorium trying to decide on which play they will be performing for the spring season. Seeing Li Hua and Qi DaiYu they stopped their discussion and started at the girls making them feel slightly startled.

A girl with short hair and an imposing manner walked over with her hand on her hip. "Can we help you, two ladies?" She asked. Stepping forward, "Hello, nice to meet you. I was wondering if you were the president of the drama club?" Li Hua asked with a smile. Crossing her arms, "That's right, I'm the president of the drama club, Ye Xun. Now, who might you be?" She asked.

Smiling, "President Ye Xun, I'm Li Hua and I wanted to talk to you about joining the drama club." Li Hua said calmly. Ye Xun looked at Li Hua up and down and smirked, "You want to join the drama club?" Nodding, "Yes, I'm very interested in acting and also the work behind the scene. By joining the drama club I was hoping to learn more about this field." Li Hua said.

Ye Xun stared at Li Hua for a few moments then her face broke out into a smile. When she became president of the club, her senior told her that she should test any new recruit before letting them join. While the drama club might not be one of the clubs at Chendu that chooses only certain students who are fully committed. Actors, directors, and all behind the scene works are people who truly love their careers and as such, they can't let just any student in.

She has been president for two years now and she has no problem denying access to those with shallow reasons. Hearing Li Hua's answer, Ye Xun was very happy and would let her enter with a bright smile. "I like your determination, Miss Li. As the president, I will love to welcome you to Chengdu drama club." Ye Xun said with a bright smile.

Being accepted so warmly, Li Hua was very happy and gave a formal bow to Ye Xun. "President, are we going to continue with this meeting?" A boy said walking over. "I know. I coming back. I'm just doing my job as club president." Ye Xun said with a sigh. Looking back at Li Hua, "As you can see, there is no club today and only the officers are here to discuss our spring performance. Come back tomorrow and I'll introduce you to everyone and you can learn more about the club. Also, if you're interested then you could try your hand and audition for the play, I'll tell you more tomorrow." Ye Xun explains.

Nodding her head, Li Hua was very interested in audition and hoped for a role. In her past life, she gave up her dream of acting because of Li Ling's schemes but this time she shows her true potential. Once Li Hua was done learning about the club she turned to leave but was stopped by Ye Xun. "Before you guys leave, I never heard your friend reason for joining?" She asked.

The two girls looked at each other with a shocked expression before turning to Ye Xun with a smile. "Sorry for the confusion, I was just accompanying Li Hua. I'm Qi DaiYu and I'm in the fashion design club." She said. "Oh! I see. Well, it's nice to meet you anyway, if you're in the fashion club then I guess I'll be seeing more of you when the play is chosen." Ye Xun said with a smile.

When Ye Xun was done talking she waved goodbye and rejoin the other officers, leaving the two girls to exit the auditorium with a smile. Walking to the school entrance, "I told you that joining would be no problem, I wonder what play they will decide to perform." Qi DaiYu said with a tilted head.

"No matter what they choose I would be happy to act in, I can't wait for tomorrow to meet the other members. This is my first steps to my dream so I'll work hard!" Li Hua said with a smile. Parting, Li Hua got into the Li family car and couldn't wait to go home and talk about her day.
