Xia Zhilan and Liu Jianhong got of his car and slowly walked to the set whilst chatting happily in the quiet moonlight.

Suddenly she felt a hand grabbing her wrist roughly.

Zhilan immediately spun around and shook the hand off her.

Xia Zhilan crossed her arms over her c.h.e.s.t and stared at the man coldly.

"Fu Sihan. What are you doing here?" She asked, annoyed "Don't you have a billion-dollar company to run back in Country C?.

Truthfully, Xia Zhilan had expected Fu Sihan to appear eventually but his presence was nevertheless, extremely annoying.

Instead of replying to her question, Fu Sihan instead stared icily at the man standing next to her, Liu Jianhong.

'I knew I shouldn't have driven her today!' Jianhong thought to himself 'She has legs l, doesn't she? Now, because of my kindness, the male lead, the favoured son of Heaven, is jealous of me.''

'Good, now you can jump in and act like her hero' his System told him.

'I know, I know... Luckily this is Country A where he has almost no connections here.'

'Maybe if you got started with your other mission, you could deal with the Male Lead much easier and then winning over the female lead would be much easier.'

'You make it seem like completing that task is easy...'

Fu Sihan suddenly laughed angrily as he brought his eyes back to Xia Zhilan "It's only been two months but you've already found a new boyfriend?"

'Not yet but almost!' Xia Zhilan thought 'But since he's here, I'll just borrow him for a moment to help me deal with Fu Sihan.'

Liu Jianhong suddenly felt something soft clinging onto his arms.

"So what if I have? He's much better than you ever were" Zhilan said

"Better than me...?" The dark aura that surrounded him suddenly grew even more intense.

"That's right. Why would I go back to country C where you've destroyed everything I have? I already don't have any parents, but now I no longer have any friends back there and even my entire career was ended by you!" Xia Zhilan shouted angrily, tears falling down her face.

These emotions were obviously not Xia Zhilan's. It had come from the original owners and seeing Fu Sihan again had suddenly unburied itself from deep within her heart.

Before Xia Zhilan took over, the original owner was truly alone back in Country C.

As the original owner was an orphan, the only people she could rely on was her friends however Fu Sihan had forbidden her to see any of them after they got married under the guise of 'protection'. Even her only passion, acting, was quickly extinguished as he forced her to retire at the peak of her career.

"Didn't I explain it to you before?" Fu Sihan said in an annoyed tone "It was to protect YOU because I love you, Zhilan."

"You love me?" Xia Zhilan repeated, raising an eyebrow "When you love someone you don't keep them caged like a bird. If you think that's what love is, then you're twisted in the head!"

"And to protect me?" Zhilan laughed coldly "How is locking me in our home and stopping me from seeing other people, protecting me? You just want to control me, don't you, Fu Sihan? But who gave you the right?"

"Xia Zhilan stop with your childish behaviour. Keeping you at home is for your own good! Just come with me back home, it's dangerous here" he said whilst attempting to grab her arm again.

Xia Zhilan easily dodged it

"The reason why I'm in danger is because of you, Fu Sihan and all your enemies." Xia Zhilan said bluntly "Of course I had expected it long before I had even gotten married to you and I was still willing to fight to be with you despite the dangers it brought to me because I loved you and I thought that you could protect me..."

"I have been prote-"

Xia Zhilan cut him off "Maybe, but I didn't expect your protection to be locking me in my home 24/7, stopping me from seeing any of my friends and I definitely didn't expect you to destroy my career during the peak of my popularity. I had won Film Empress only a couple of years ago and I would've been a household name but now nobody back home even remembers my name."

"The only reason you got to that level of success is because I helped and supported you. My company had given you the best resources when you were only a third-tier actress." Fu Sihan said angrily.

Xia Zhilan laughed coldly "There's no denying that you've helped me in my career but haven't you ever thought about how I, a mere third-tier actress managed to get signed into your company, the number one entertainment agency of the entire country? Before I had even signed with Starry Skies, I was already acting in many extremely famous movies like «The Silent Wind», which won so many awards that year. I had also starred in the TV series «Fragile Love», «Honeylife» and «Oceanhorde». All of that before I had even signed with an agency. So tell me, Fu Sihan, did I really need your help? Just go back home and leave me alone."

Suddenly a woman dressed scantily walked up to Fu Sihan and coquettishly grabbed Fu Sihans arm.

"Sir, secretary Xiao Wei has been calling me non-stop. You've got an important meeting in an hour." Miao Zhiling said calmly with a sweet voice as she swept her eyes disdainfully over Xia Zhilan.

'This stupid woman is clearly blind. Giving up such a perfect man for whoever this is...' she thought to herself, mockingly.

Perhaps to make Xia Zhilan jealous, Fu Sihan let Miao Zhiling cling onto him even though he would've normally pushed her off immediately.

Miao Zhilan face brightened considerably when she noticed this and smirked arrogantly at Xia Zhilan.

Xia Zhilan merely rolled her eyes at the two and their antics.

"Uhm anyways... Liu Jianhong let's go" Xia Zhilan said to him as she held onto his arm and pulled him away hurriedly.
