While Xia Zhilan calmly looked through her script, her phone which was vibrating loudly next to her, Li Jianhong finally came back to the filming studio and took a seat next to her, once again.

He raised his eyebrows in amus.e.m.e.nt as he watched the woman next to him completely ignore the barrage of text messages and phone calls blowing up her phone.

"Aren't you gonna get that? It might be important."

"It's just my stupid ex... He won't stop bothering me!" Xia Zhilan said unhappily "Sorry, is it bothering you? I can turn it off if it is..."

Li Jianhong eyes gleamed happily at the word 'ex'

'They broke up already? This makes it so much easier. 500 points, here I come!' he thought inwardly

Jianhong quickly put on a concerned expression and said "Oh, sorry! And no, it's not bothering me."

After a brief silence, Xia Zhilan suddenly said "Yeah, it's tough when someone you thought you knew, becomes a completely different person...." whilst sighing pitifully.

However inwardly, Xia Zhilan was smirking deviously.

At the same time, Li Jianhong was thinking 'We practically just met and she's already telling me about her love life? This is much easier than I expected... All I have to do is step in and act like her hero'

"I'm sorry! I don't know why I'm telling you this... I just had no-one else to talk to about this. Since I'm new to the country and all..."

"Nono it's fine! He must be a pretty shitty person anyways and stupid for losing such a pretty girl" Jianhong said with a flirty grin.

Xia Zhilan's eyes twinkled brightly.

"Thank you and he is." Zhilan chuckled lightly.

"Since you're new in this country, how about I show you around the city sometime?" Liu Jianhong asked casually.

"Ah? The great Film Emperor Liu Jianhong wants to show me around town? I'm honoured!" Xia Zhilan said teasingly.

"Weren't you also a Film Empress back in Country C?" he asked

"Oh, you know about that?" Xia Zhilan asked, pretending to be surprised "But that was a long time ago so it doesn't count anymore..."

"Miss Xia is quite humble, I see. I think winning that title at only age 21 is extremely impressive. I only won mine last year and I was 24 then."

"Thank you but I was just lucky and my company was extremely supportive of me at the time." Zhilan said calmly "I heard that your family wasn't very supportive of your acting before. It must have been difficult getting roles, considering your family's background."

In Country A, the Liu family did have a considerable amount of prestige and power. Although it was nothing compared to the male lead in Country C, it was something to be noted.

"Yeah, they wanted me to carry on the family business but that wasn't the life for me. It was very difficult at first but there are lots of directors out there who don't care about power and money but the art of it. Actually, director Zhao was one of the first people who gave me a chance, despite my family pressuring him."

"Really? Was it the film «Bloody Hunter»? Even though it wasn't extremely popular, it's one of my favourites!" Zhilan said happily "I didn't know all that was happening behind the scenes... Are you on better terms with your family now? If you don't mind me asking."

"Yes, we're on good terms now. After they saw my passion for acting, they had a change of heart, especially when my work started to pay out and I started getting more roles and awards." Liu Jianhong said whilst smiling softly

"So how about it? Do you want a tour around the city sometime?" He asked again.

"Sure, that sounds fun!" Xia Zhilan smiled warmly "Let's exchange numbers first."

After chatting a while longer, Director Zhao came back and ordered everyone to get into position.

Although Zhilan and Jianhong were both in their miss 20s, with their natural good looks and a touch of makeup alongside a fresh student uniform, they easily passed as youthful highschool students.

Xia Zhilan's character was actually only supposed to appear later in the series, but due to some issues with the actress playing the female lead, Zhilan's filming was pushed forward.

Mainly due to Xia Zhilan's impeccable skills and Liu Jianhong, the fellow task taker's surprisingly strong acting, the scenes they had planned to shoot for today, was a wrapped up in only a couple hours by the late afternoon.

Immediately after filming, the other actors and actresses clamoured over the two.

"Xia Zhilan, your acting skills are amazing! You didn't even make a single mistake?"

"Are you sure you're actually a newcomer, huh?" They asked jokingly.

"Actually I used to be an actress back in Country A, did I not mention it?" Zhilan said

"Ohh that explains it! No wonder you seemed so experienced for a newcomer"

"When I first started, I made so many mistakes because I was so nervous, haha," someone said in nostalgia.

"You too, sister Song? I can't imagine that. You're always so calm!" a newcomer said in surprise

"Hehe, me too! But I think everyone was when they first started"

Whilst the others we're sharing stories when they began their acting careers, Xia Zhilan and Liu Jianhong stood at the sides.

"Since us, two are done shooting, do you want to get something to eat together?" Zhilan took the initiative and asked him out. "If you're not busy, of course."

"Good thing you asked, I was getting hungry as well." Jianhong said happily "There's a really good café nearby, do you want to go there?"

"Since His Highness, the Film Emperor, recommends it then of course!" Zhilan said, joking.
