The next day Xia Zhilan decided to wear a plain white dress paired with a pair of white canvas shoes because white represents innocence and purity although the original Xiao Yingyue tended to wear darker colours with lots of accessories. However, Xiao Yingyue was the type who could where anything and still look good thanks to her delicate facial features. Xia Zhilan applied some light make up and left to her uni.

Whilst making her way to her university she happened to meet Bai Meixiu, well she did live in the same building as her.

"Yingyue, are you feeling better now?" She asked in concern.

"Yeah. What did our professor say?"

"Nothing really but we did get an assignment and you... have to work with Ye Jiangyu..."

"Really?"

Actually Xia Zhilan already knew about as it happened in the original story however Xiao Yingyue was extremely clingy and kept trying to flirt with him which annoyed him and kind of weirded him out since they were quite close when they were children.

"Class should be starting soon. Let's head over now." Xia Zhilan said.

"Yeah. Good luck in your assignment!" Bai Meixiu went to sit next to her partner whilst Xia Zhilan went to sit next to Ye Jiangyu, the male lead.

This was the first time Xia Zhilan had personally seen him and he was crazily handsome like protagonists always are. He was on par with many entertainment stars she had seen in her old life.

"Morning, Ye Jiangyu!" Xia Zhilan said cheerfully while sitting down next to him.

Ye Jiangyu grunted in response because being handsome and having a 'cold' personality completely justified being somewhat rude and not even giving a proper greeting.

Despite that, Ye Jiangyu currently still has a favourable opinion of her because the original Yingyue had only found out about her parents expectations at the beginning of the summer. Ye Jiangyu only thought that she was acting slightly strangely but thought nothing of it, nor did he really care.

After everyone had settled down, the professor explained the assignment and left the students to start.

"You better not drag me down, Xiao Yingyue." Ye Jiangyu said coldly to her before starting their work.

'Haha... F*ck you too!' Xia Zhilan thought whilst rolling her eyes at him.

"I'll try my best!" Xia Zhilan said nervously in reality.

'I was known as a business LEGEND! And who the heck are you, you egotistical little boy? You're just a spoiled little brat!' Zhilan was secretly cursing him in her mind because he slightly offended her with his comment. 'Don't drag you down? How about you don't drag ME down?! Do you know who I am - well, was?'

Although they could be said to have been childhood friends, they weren't that close as they grew up. However unknowingly his favouribility towards her increased slightly. In fact, her sudden change in appearance and meek response on top of her typical cheerful personality reminded him of a cute little rabbit.

During the 2 hours of working together, Xia Zhilan contributed greatly to the assignment, contrary to his expectations, which further increased his opinion of her.

"Xiao Yingyue, I didn't expect you to be so good at this" He complimented. Which was a strange for him as he rarely complimented anyone.

'I see, I see... You were looking down on me? Humph!' Xia Zhilan sneered inwardly.

However in real life Xia Zhilan laughed gently and said "Really? I've been studying a lot during the summer since I am the heir to the Xiao Group. Hehe, thanks!" with a bright and gentle smile.

Ye Jiangyu for some reason felt an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach after seeing Xia Zhilan's beautiful smile but decided to brush it away.

"See you later, Ye Jiangyu!" Xia Zhilan said in a cheerful voice whilst walking towards Bai Meixiu with her snowy white dress flowing behind her and left him in a slight daze.

'How was I, 005? I was pretty good right?' Xia Zhilan asked the system smugly after seeing the ML's dazed face.

"Pretty good." The system responded in it's emotionless voice.

'Well of course I was! I was a movie star, you know and I won countless of awards.' Xia Zhilan shamelessly bragged.

System 005 just rolled it's eyes at it's host's narcissism.

"So Yingyue, you haven't joined a club yet right?" Meixiu asked.

"Ah... not yet. I'm still deciding. We still have a week to pick right?"

"Yeah. What club are you gonna pick? I wanna be in the same club together! It'll be really fun!"

"Do we have to join one...?"

"Of course we do! We only have 2 years left! We have to make the most of our university life!" Bai Meixiu said angrily.

'005, what club is Shi Huilang in?' Xia Zhilan decided it would be easier to complete the missions if she stuck with the female lead.

'The art club. And yes, I do know that you were a famous painter so you don't have to tell me'

Xia Zhilan pouted 'Who else am I supposed to tell? You should let me enjoy my achievements!"

"How about the art club?"

"The art club? Sounds fun! Let's go after lunch!" Bai Meixiu said excitedly

One girl who was jealous of Shi Huilang said disdainfully "Wow, you're really stupid, aren't you? I can't believe you asked them that."

"Huh? What's wrong with what I said?" Shi Huilang said naiively.

However everyone else just snickered.

"Don't worry about it, Shi Huilang." Xia Zhilan said gently "I'm actually the heir to the Xiao Group and Meixiu is the youngest daughter of the Bai family who owns Starry Sky Entertainment. "

"Oh my god! I'm sorry I really didn't know..." Shi Huilang said in embarrassment.

"Don't worry about, it's not that serious.

Guys don't make fun of her! She's new!" Xia Zhilan said softly.

As the heir to the country's No. 2 business, Xiao Yingyue was naturally fawned over however she wasn't extremely arrogant and was instead very sociable so most people liked her.

Xia Zhilan didn't actually dislike her but she definitely did not like the male lead, Ye Jiangyu. Maybe it's because she feels extremely close to the original Xiao Yingyue because she inherited her memories, but she really doesn't like the ML for pratically destroying her life because she was framed and never helping her even after the true 'mastermind' was revealed.

In addition, System 005 had told Zhilan that the ML was nearby so she had to seem nice and gentle and being an ex-actress she sounded genuine and not pretentious at all.

Ye Jiangyu heard all of it.

In Xia Zhilan's past lives, she had really liked art and eventually decided to become a painter because, why not? This of course meant she was technically a professional which also meant her beautiful artwork outstanded everyone and embarrassed many art students.

His name was Guo Chen who's an extremely talented artist and pretty popular in his department thanks to his good looks.

"Next month there'll be an national art competition for all the top universities in the country and you should compete." He explained.

"Art competition? Aren't those only reserved for the top art students? I don't study art..." Xia Zhilan said sheepishly.

I'll recommend you to my professors. They definitely allow it!" Guo Chen said confidently. " Our university is kind of looked down on because we normally only accept students who have prestigious backgrounds."

"Yingyue you should totally go for it!" Bai Meixiu encouraged.

"I guess I'll try.... I apologize if I embarrass our school!" Xia Zhilan said worriedly.

'In the past I was offered thousands just to be a judge at one of these competitions.' Xia Zhilan thought smugly.
