PS I'm Over You

Chapter 81 - Forever Starts Today

Ririna didn't know how she managed to follow Eli to his car and seated herself in the passenger seat as Eli drove to Evan's home. His words made her freeze and she couldn't seem to understand what he meant. She had followed him with her mind in a blank state.

They arrived at Evan's place and picked up Skyler who was so excited when he saw his parents waiting for him. He threw himself at his mother's arms surprising her, making her break from her trance.

"Mommy is it true? You're going to get married today?" Skyler asked and he looked up at his mother with his big grey eyes sparkling with joy and excitement.

"Yes," she replied with a smile.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally!" Skyler jumped in front of her, still holding her hand.

Eli took his son and secured him on the booster seat inside his car. His random babblings made Ririna smile. It had been a while since she saw Skyler this happy.

They were getting married. Her mind still couldn't believe that after years of loving him, waiting for him to notice her, she would end up marrying the man she fell in love for years. Wasn't it what every woman dreamt of? To get married to the man she loves the most.

When Eli took his place on the driver seat once more, he took Ririna's left hand and held it tight as they drove to register their marriage that afternoon.

There was a light shower from the dark sky that afternoon but he felt nothing of it. His thoughts were all on their impending marriage. Ririna had proven her love to him and now it is time for him to do the same.

He may not still openly admit to her that he loved her too but to promise her and to give her the rest of his life, Eli thought this might be enough for her to understand how and what she meant to him.

He needed her to function and to be there in his boring life. He needed her on his side to know that he was needed and loved by someone. No more lonely days where he would come home into an empty home late at night.

"Am I going to have a brother soon?" Skyler asked with a big grin on his face.

Ririna wondered who gave him that idea. She gave a look at her lover but Eli only shrugged his shoulder in response.

"You don't want a sister?" Eli replied with a question.

Skyler frowned when he remembered what his best friend told him before.

"Jiro said girls have cooties and she will make me sick!"

Eli laughed surprising both Ririna and Skyler. His woman was still not used to see him smiling and laughing without thinking that he would kill someone. Just like now, his laugh sent shivers down her spine.

"Ehh? But mommy doesn't have cooties and doesn't make me sick." Skyler answered back.

"Ahh...whatever your mother gives to me is okay. I will cherish it like you. If you will have a sister you should treat her nicely."

"So, am I going to be a big brother, daddy?" Skyler blinked but he is also excited to become a big brother because he wouldn't be alone anymore. He would teach his little brother and would play a lot of games with him.

Eli was about to comment on that when he noticed Ririna's glare at him. Oh, yes he should watch out for those innuendo comments of his whenever he's talking to his child.

Marriage. To be married and to fall in love over and over again with the same person and spend the rest of his life with her; Eli didn't mind if it was Ririna.

For Eli, making Ririna agree to marry him was another achievement he would treasure in his life. The satisfaction and assurance that she's only his and his alone made his heart filled with the happiness he had never felt before.

He couldn't believe that there would be someone who loved him for who he was and would accept him wholeheartedly. She haunted his every waking thought and made him weak in her presence and be able to see his vulnerabilities. She was his strength as well as his greatest weakness.

He would give anything to make sure she would stay safe. Oh, how much he hoped that she wouldn't wake up one day and had forgotten about him. He could only hope she would not knock her head, get back into her senses and leave him behind.

They arrived at the Civil Registry Department within the city government compound. As soon as the guards saw Eli, they quickly made a way for his car in the parking lot and gave him a VIP pass.

Ririna arched a brow. It seemed that Eli had arranged this quickly as expected. Did he call Jonathan to make the arrangements before they left her office?

Eli turned off the engine of his car while Ririna released her seatbelt and slipped out of the passenger seat. She opened the door of the backseat and released Skyler from his seat. The boy excitedly wrapped his little arms around his mother's neck as she held him in her arms.

Her lover quickly closed the doors of the car and locked it. He moved beside her and held her hand once again to lead her into the registry office. They entered and were welcomed by staff and made them seat on the vacant booth.

'Ah, the perks of having a connection to the government.' Ririna thought.

Blank forms were presented in front of them. Ririna made Skyler sit on her l.a.p while she quickly scanned the doc.u.ments on the table.

"Once you sign these doc.u.ments, you forfeited your life to me. You are mine. You aren't allowed to divorce me under any circ.u.mstances." Eli warned her, his eyes so cold and serious but within him he hoped she wouldn't change her mind and back out, leaving him alone again.

Ririna stared at him before taking the pen on the table and started filling out the forms. Eli watched her with curiosity as she wrote her name on the form and filled out the details. She really wanted to marry him.

He snapped out from his thoughts and quickly filled out the form finishing it up before Ririna. He sighed in relief when she signed the form and passed it to the waiting staff.

The procedure ran smoothly from filling up the forms, reading their vows and signing another form to seal their marriage contract. When they finished everything, Skyler was ecstatic as he clung to his father's arm while his mother held him.

Eli kept their marriage certificates in his coat's pocket. His hand lightly traced them as he still couldn't believe that they were officially married. He was hers and she was his. Finally. Their forever starts today.

"What's wrong? Not satisfied?" Ririna asked.

"Nothing. Don't forget the promises you made today." he reminded her.

Ririna laughed. As if she could forget how much she loves him.

"You don't have to worry about that. I am yours for eternity." she made a promise once again.

"I will hold on your words then," Eli smirked and leaned down to her. "And don't forget our wedding night later," he whispered to her ear which made her cheeks burn red.
