Chapter 42 - What I Am Doing

As soon as He Hao, Blake's opponent, heard this, he completely lost it and charged at her without even caring about the judge's permission to start. Blake did a huge smile and charged at him as well, also ignoring the judge Elder.

The Elder was mad with this. If disciples start fighting without the judge's permission, they could either ignore it and let the fight happen or stop it and disqualify one or even the two disciples. The Elder was going to stop this fight and disqualify both of them for daring to disrespect him like this, treating him like he didn't exist and starting the fight on their own.

But just as he lifted his hand and was going to shout, he abruptly stopped and looked at the crowd. More specifically, at the area where the Elders, inner Elders and inner disciples gathered. Then his expression changed as he seemed to hear something, even though no sound was transmitted. He had a expression of someone being scolded by their superior, and soon after defeatedly put his hand down, not having the intention of stopping the fight anymore.

And while all of this was happening, Blake and He Hao weren't frozen in time or something, they were already trading blows with one another. He Hao was furious as he was looked down on by Blake, so he didn't bother trying to defend. This was also because Blake was a swordswoman,so he was completely confident in taking her down when she was using only her fists.

Blake also wasn't defending as she was not thinking completely straight right now. If anything she was even more reckless than He Hao, she wasn't really defending from his hits, rather, she was trying to overpower his attacks with a even stronger force.

He Hao clenched his fist and punched at Blake's stomach. Blake immediately punched back at his fist with her own, wanting to have a constest of strength. To her surprise, his fist didn't meet hers but went to the ground instead as she missed her punch. She felt something bad coming her way and before she could move away, a shadow came straight at her as she felt a huge impact. He Hao had used his hand to support his whole body and kicked Blake in the face.

He Hao who was upside down smiled. He had hit Blake for the first time in this match. As they fought he noticed she had a immense reaction time and almost predicted his attacks, and she didn't seem to be a complete amateur at fighting without a sword as she was using some weird martial art he never saw. That made it that they didn't get any clean hit in each other, as He Hao is more experienced than Blake at this but her insane reactions made the battle more balanced.

So what he did just now was surprising Blake for a short time with a faint, leaving her dumbfounded for a little while, enough for him to hit her while she is distracted. He was also exploiting the fact that whatever martial art Blake praticed didn't seem to be great at kicking, as all her kicks in this match were very few and really amateurish.

He Hao put a good amount of Qi in that feet, so he was sure Blake was hit badly and was probably stunned right now, so he wanted to stand with his feet again and end the match. Than was when he suddenly felt something grabbing his foot, and felt his body becoming weightless as his field of view started rising.

What the hell?

"AaAaaaAAARGHHhhh!!!"

With a scream filled with pain, He Hao had figured out what happened. The few people who were watching their fight also became excited as some even cheered. What happened just now is, after the kick hit Blake's face, she stood still for a second before immediatelly grabbing He Hao's foot. Like she just didn't get kicked in the face with force, she lifted him up off the ground to the air, while still not releasing his both his feets from her hands. When he hit the highest height possible, she purposelly fell down with her back, pulling He Hao down with all her might.

The result was him hitting the rock-hard floor with his back, with Blake force, his own body weight and height he fell intensifying the impact. This was enough to kill a normal human. He Hao felt his insides shake as pain assaulted his body and he almost fainted.

He started tremblingly standing back up. He reinforced his body with Qi earlier before he hit the ground, the martial technique he praticed also significantly strenghed his body, so the impact was not as bad it looked. Still, it was a pretty hard hit, He was heavily panting and trembling as he stood up, taking a good while to stop the trembling.

He Hao looked at Blake. She was slowly walking to him, completely unhurried. She wasn't even a in martial arts stance anymore, she looked more like someone doing a casual walk rather than someone in the middle of a battle. That created a relly weird contrast with her face that had a large bruise in it, obviously aftermath of He Hao's kick. Still, she walking like she was never hit at all.

He Hao expression contorted as he looked at Blake, he was feeling panic, rage and some fear. He didn't understand, how did that kick did nothing to her?

Sword cultivators normally trained their sword techniques more than their body, as they don't have enough time for both. Some even completely disregarded their body, focusing completely on techniques. Their logic is if they had enough time to train bouth, couldn't they use that time to become a even better swordsman? That's why He Hao was so confident in Blake being taken down with that kick.

Blake was definitely not using a sword as a hobby, she was skilled with it and had even used a martial technique with it. But her body was somehow strong too? He Hao couldn't compreend what he was seeing right now. Did he offend a talent? He was regretting it.

"AHHHHH!!!"

As Blake came close, he kicked at her head. This was a desperate move as he was sure it wouldn't hit with her reaction time. He was surprised, he actually hit her head! Some hope started to appear in his eyes, maybe he could win...?

He suddenly felt chills all over his back. Blake, who had been hit at the side of her head with his feet, suddenly did a huge smile and looked straight at him. Panic overtook him.

"Y-YOU MONST--uGGhh!"

Blake pulled him closer with his leg, and hit a hook right into his face, making fall back to the ground while off balance. She steadily walked to the fallen He Hao, stood on him and started violently punching his entire body. Her smile didn't decrease, maybe it even became a bit bigger. She didn't seem to want to finish the fight as she didn't hit with enough force to cripple or kill him, which would trigger the formation.

They stayed like that for half a minute, and He Hao was barely even conscious at this point. The judge who was watching everything hesitated, but didn't say anything at all in the end and just let it happen.

"Hmm, which cheek did you slap Ye Xia with? It was the right cheek right? Oh well whatever."

Blake stopped punching him and looked at his face. She lifted one of her hands up and used Flaming Fist, covering it with fire. He Hao who had stopped reacting to punches suddenly started struggling as he felt what was about to happen next was really bad.

"I'll imprint a palm mark into your face so you never forget that slap." Blake smile became crazy as she approached her hand to his cheek, and He Hao started struggling and making weird noises. Unfortunately, he was too weak to resist right now so Blake just held his neck now with her free hand. His eyes were filled with despair as he started to feel the heat approaching his face.

Just as Blake hand was about to touch his cheek, her hand suddenly stopped and a look of confusion appeared on her face. The flames disappeared from her hand as she looked at the terrified He Hao.
