Chapter 41 - Take The Trash Out

"That was incredible, Sister Blake! You grew so much since that day." Little Xun was amazed. Blake didn't have any great combat capabilities when they fought the bear. That was normal in his world view as she was a Monster Tamer and normally these don't have great strength themselves, often relying on their beasts.

Monster Tamers either focused on training their beast completely and ignored their own strength, or trained their own body to fight together with their partner. The former had immensely powerful beasts but were pretty weak themselves and are often aimed for in fights, and the latter was a jack of all trades and master of none, their own strength would be no match for someone who focused solely on martial arts and their beast strength would be no match for someone who only trained their monsters.

Little Xun thought Blake was following the path of strengthening herself together with her spirit beast. The speed at which her powers grew was immense! He thought it was a waste for her to be a Monster Trainer as she would need to spend most of her time to train Riolu. If she completely focused on cultivation, wouldn't she progress even faster than his Senior Brother?

"I never knew you were so powerful Sister Blake! You are definitely going to pass this year..." Zhao Long felt really awkward right now. He was the oldest one among them, yet he was the weakest by a mile. He was weaker than a 16 years old and a girl. Why was he so useless...?

"Hahaha! I'm awesome, right?" Blake laughed out loud as she jumped into her seat and hugged the two. Fang didn't seem to care about anything, as he looked into the empty space with a thoughtful expression.

The tournament went on, and the participants were becoming fewer and fewer. Some rose to glory while others exited the stage in sadness. This was the arena of the younger disciples, if it was the other one there would also be the occasional sight of those who lost their last chance and broke down on the spot.

Now it was the deciding round, and those who won would be allowed into the inner sect, and those who lost would stay where they were or go back home in the worst case scenario. Blake stood up with serious expression, fixedly staring at someone.

"I'm going guys. See you at the inner sect."

"Beat them up Sister Blake!","Good Luck!" Said Little Xun and Zhao Long. Fang intensely stared at her before saying something that made her eyes widen.

"Don't let it control you."

'He knows?!' Blake was startled. Did he notice her unstable Qi because of her abnormal behavior?

"Hm? What are you talking about Senior Brother?" Asked a curious Little Xun.

"Nothing."

================================================================

Blake walked down from the crowd into the stage, looking at those around her. There were fifty disciples into the big stage, most had solemn faces, with a small amount of people who had calm expressions. Blake locked her gaze into someone. It was the guy who slapped Ye Xia!

He seemed to notice Blake looking at him, as he looked back at her and did a provocative smirk. He didn't seem even a bit nervous at all.

As Blake looked at his smiling face, she immediately grabbed the hilt of her sword, startling the disciples near her. She stopped herself pulling her sword out as her hand trembled, and she took a deep breath.

'Calm the f*ck down, now it isn't the time.' She thought to herself as she released her hand from the sword's hilt. She was really on the verge of a explosion right now, the guy slightly provoked her and she almost went to cut him down.

Blake mind was very unstable at the moment. While she has been controlling it really well until now, that guy can easily make her lose it. If her mind was compared to gas cylinder, things that irritate her are like putting a lit matchstick near it. That guy was on a different level, it was like using a blow torch on the gas cylinder.

Once he saw that everyone was gathered on the stage, an unknown outer Elder started explaining how this round would be. As his explanation ended, some were excited, some were panicking, and some were indifferent.

In this round, disciples would be allowed to challenge each other. First, half of them would be randomly selected to be the ones did the challenge, and the other half could only receive them.

Two people won't be able to challenge the same person as all the fights will happen at the same time, and a order from the first to the twenty-fifth will be randomly chosen between the challengers so the first lucky guy gets the privilege of choosing anyone he wants, and the unlucky person who goes last can only choose the guy who no one wanted to fight, often the strongest candidate that year.

Blake was selected to be one of the twenty five challengers, and she glared at the guy who pisses her off the most intensely, with some small amounts of worry. She was worried someone would steal her opponent..

The Elder randomly took a jade tablet from the twenty five besides him, stopped to read the name written on it and shouted.

"First challenger, Disciple Blake!"

Blake smiled.

"I challenge him!!" She immediately pointed at the disciple who hit Ye Xia, the Elder was a bit taken aback by her fast decision but nodded anyway. As she was the first challenger she could chose anywhere in the arena to fight so she just went to the nearest place.

Blake and the disciple were now glaring at each other, the guy had a provocative smirk once again.

"Woman, I have waited a long time for what's about to happen. Time to pay you back for all the humiliation I have received!"

"Can we quit talking and start this already? I want to punch you in the face and all."

"Hm." The guy sneered and entered into a stance. He looked a bit surprised when he saw her lift her fists up and enter into a stance as well.

"Aren't you a swordsman? Why are you not unsheathing your sword?"

Blake smirked.

"I don't use my sword to take the trash out."
