Tomorrow.

Blake lazily woke up, patted Riolu, greeted Honedge and stretched her body for a bit. It was the same thing she did every morning after waking up.

Sometime later after her sleepiness was gone, she remembered something she planned to do today, using the pills in her space ring.

She knows what the pills do because she asked Little Xun at that time, and also knows that they aren't dangerous to take. Pills would only leave side effects if she used them too much.

She sat cross-legged with Riolu besides her watching worryingly and Honedge expressionless staring. She took out a pill out of the five she had in her space ring.

The pill was pure white like someone had painted it. It's was shape was a perfect sphere to human standards, like it was done by a machine. Blake's hand felt cold as she c.a.r.e.s.sed its surface. The pill looked pretty high-grade by Blake's standards.

She deeply breathed in and out to calm herself down and under the gaze of her two Pokemon, she closed her eyes and gulped down the white pill.

She felt the coldness traveling down her esophagus, before finally reaching her belly. Blake knew she needed to wait some time until something happens, but she didn't know the exact amount of time.

Just when she was feeling impatient, she felt a slight warmth coming from her belly. It was a small amount of heat at first, but it soon began to increase. As it increased more and more, Blake's expression contorted a bit with her eyes still closed, leaving Riolu more worried.

The warmth in her belly suddenly stopped growing, and before she could figure out what happened, it began to spread to her whole body!

Every single part of her body felt hot, but thankfully, the heat was in a tolerable range. She didn't feel pain, but It was very uncomfortable. Most of the heat was going to her Dantian, the rest was spread equally to all parts of her body.

She stayed in this situation for some minutes, before the heat began to slowly die out. Once she felt that her body had returned to normal temperature, she opened her eyes.

"Riolu!" As soon she opened her eyes, Riolu ran to her side with an expression filled with worry. Honedge just watched silently at the side. She patted Riolu's head while smiling to comfort him, before examining the changes in her body.

She punched and kicked the air, and even made fire come out of her hand. The discovery she had made her feel happy and excited.

"I advanced to the third stage!" The pill had amazing effects. She immediately advanced to a new stage after taking it, and she could feel half of the progress to the fourth stage was already done! She advanced one and a half stages just like that!

She was even tempted to try another pill, but she took that idea out of her mind. Pills need to be taken with a huge time interval between them, or else there will be side effects. Worst case scenario, your body would end up becoming completely dependant on pills and you wouldn't be able to progress on your own.

There was also the fact that the more you take a pill, the less effective it becomes. So if you end up dependant on them you would need to take a massive amount of different pills just to advance on your cultivation, becoming a bottomless pit that devoured wealth. This was all information from Little Xun.

Blake's body was full of energy after taking the pill, her Dantian was also filled with Qi, she wanted to use this energy on something. She glanced at her sword that she left there lying on the ground, picked it up and smiled.

"Honedge, I'm feeling full of energy right now. Let's train!"

"Honedge." Honedge nodded.

He took himself out of his own sheath and floated, pointing at Blake like he was being wielded by a person. Blake also got on her stance.

The smiling Blake and the calm Honedge soon ran at each other, and their blades clashed...

==================================================================================

It was now one week later, Blake mainly spent the whole week training swordsmanship with Honedge and training the Doominering Flame Sword Art. Her training with Honedge also contributed to her Aura training, but the progress wasn't significant.

It's now morning, and Blake was walking towards the direction of the mission hall, intending to give five herbs again. She gave them to Zhao Long while they both chatted.

"Zhao Long, why the sect needs so many Yellow-Leaf herbs for?" Blake was genuinely curious, she obviously wasn't the only completing this mission as she often saw disciples also handing over Yellow-Leaf herbs for the reward. Real life wasn't a game that you could repeat the same quests over and over again all you liked, why the sect would need so much of these herbs for?

"This herb is one of the main ingredients of the most common pill, the Qi Recovery Pill. There is a bunch of missions of gathering ingredients around here, the sect hands out missions like those so that there are always ingredients on the stock. Our novice alchemists use a lot to learn after all." Zhao Long patiently explained.

"Do the sect sell those pills?" Blake smelled money there.

"Yes, our sect is one of the big producers of pills in the Vermillion Bird Country if not the biggest one, since cultivators with fire Qi nature are great at alchemy. We are more or less half an alchemy oriented sect, because of this, our disciples are somewhat weak compared to the other sects, but we are incredibly rich." Zhao Long was a bit embarrassed on he said about how the disciples here were weaker than in the other sects, but he quickly switched to pride when saying about how they were rich.

Blake quickly imagined a scene in her mind after hearing his description. The sect paid a small amount of Spirit Stones in the form of mission rewards to motivate the disciples, that gave them ingredients for pills.

The sect then makes the pills and sells them at a price way bigger than they paid for, which gives them more than enough money to keep issuing missions for ingredients and getting more and more money. This place was really getting more and more familiar with her old world...

'This sect is filthy rich.' Blake thought about the money they got from this, the rental of the techniques and the entrance exam, and that was the conclusion she got.

"Do you have any suggestions for a mission?" Blake asked Zhao Long.

"Tired of searching for Yellow-Leaf herbs?"

"Yeah."

"Considering Sister Blake's strength, I wouldn't recommend anything too dangerous, so it's best to stick with searching ingredients for now. Hmm, let me think about which one... Mushrooms, flowers... It's best to stick with herbs since you are already accustomed to it, so what about that one?" He pointe to a paper.

'Collect three Purple-Root herbs.'

'Ten Spirit Stones.'

"Seems good enough to me. Thanks as usual, see you later." She took her Spirit Stones from the counter and left while waving to him.

"See you later, Sister Blake!" He waved to her as well. This time, he didn't daydream and stopped waving after she was gone.

"Not gonna keep waving even after she is gone like usual?" His colleague made fun of him while laughing.

"Shut up." Zhao Long tsked in annoyance and greeted the next person in line.
