Pokemon In Cultivation World

The journey wasn't overly long, but it wasn't short either. They took slightly over an hour to reach their destination.

Thankfully, since Blake had cultivated the past few days her body was a little stronger than before, so she wasn't as tired as she thought she would be.

The way that cultivation made the body stronger, by her observations, wasn't complicated.

When she absorbed Spirit Qi into her Dantian, a small amount of it would be absorbed by her body, making her a little stronger.

It was magical, even though her muscle mass didn't change a single bit, she was still stronger than before. At this rate, she will be strong as captain america in a year or less!

It would be a bizarre situation by Earth standards, a weak looking girl, having a iron-like body being able to easily punch a hole in wall.

A situation like that was still far off though, for now she was only slightly less tired than the other girls who were forced to walk so much. The delicate rich girls looked like they were about to die.

Having finally reached the place, people began to look around see where they were. They only saw mountain in front of them, covered by long stairs.

Some already suspected it, but when they saw the sect disciples head to the stairs everyone realized that they had to walk till the top of the mountain!

The lazy people were annoyed at this, but no dared to voice out their complaints to the disciples, only cursing under their breath.

They finally reached the end of the stairs with some difficulty. All tired, except the cultivators. Fang Qing who was walking besides Blake didn't show the slight sign of being tired.

A open gate that probably leaded to the sect was in front of of them.

Inside there were three more groups of people, all being supervised by disciples. They were probably brought here from other cities, the sect wasn't that small by the looks of it. A small sect wouldn't recruit a lot of disciples because of the lack of resources.

All the groups merged into a single, huge crowd. They were making a lot of noise, discussing and making guesses about what will happen.

"We can enter the sect now if you don't want to wait, Sister Blake." Said Fang Qing.

"No need to hurry, I want to see how the entrance examination is done." Said Blake. She was curious if she would pass it or not.

"Senior Brother, Sister Blake!" They suddenly heard someone calling them and turned their heads to the source of the sound.

They saw Xun Yu running at their direction and waving at them, he had a smile on his face.

"Brother Xun, long time no see!" Said Blake, Fang Qing just smiled.

Blake felt weird calling someone this way, she was raised in a different culture after all, but she didn't know any other way of adressing him.

"You can call me Little Xun, Sister Blake, we are in the same sect from today on after all." Said Little Xun while smiling.

Only older friends, family or elders called other people with 'little', it had a certain intimacy in it.

"Call me Fang, then." Fang Qing also didn't seem to care about formalities like calling him Senior.

"Since it's like that, call me only Blake as well." Said Blake while smiling. They were beginning to look more and more like friends.

As everybody chatted, a old man with a scarlet red robe with flame drawings, slightly reddish white hair and flaming red eyes slowly climbed a stage that was in front of the crowd. The man lifted his hands and...

He clapped his hand once, the sound was very loud and it got everyone's attention. The place suddenly became silent. Blake and company also were staring at him.

"Today, all of you are here to embark in the path of cultivation. Some of you may fall and go back in grief, others will change their destinies and rise above mortals. Today, the Scarlet Flame Sect open it's doors, to give a opportunity to all of you. I now declare the beginning of this examination, show the world what you are made of!"

In the crowd, some were clenching their fists in determination, some were showing worried looks and others were very calm. Once the man ended, they all loudly cheered.

"Who was that?" Asked Blake.

"That was Great Elder Zhu, the sect has three Great Elders." Asnwered Little Xun.

The people were all led somewhere by disciples. Blake followed the crowd with his friends as well.

The crowd divided into different lines, all of them led to a table with a pitch black stone in it, a Elder sitting at a chair in each table.

Everytime someone put their hands into the stone, a white number would appear in it.

"15, Qualified!"

"16, Qualified!"

"21, Disqualified!"

Shouts like that were heard coming from the tables. Blake was confused.

"What's that number? And why it disqualifies people?"

"That's the bone age, the sect does not accept people above 20 years old as disciples. Talking about that, how old are you, Sister Blake?" Said Little Xun.

"My age...." Blake stopped to think about it. Blake is around 17 years old, but she is in Flannery body, and Flannery is 18 old when she was in Pokemon Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire.

"I'm 18 years old, and I already told you to call me Blake only." Blake decided to use the age of her body, since her bone age will be 18.

"Sorry, I just feel weird calling you like that since are you older than me. I'm 16 by the way." Little Xun scratched the back of his head and smiled wryly.

"I'm 19." Fang Qing who was silent the whole time, suddenly said.

Going back to the test, Blake was staring there full of pity. The people that failed this part of the test simply wasted 10 Spirit Stones.

A lot of people knew about the age limit already, but some of them didn't. There was also some who who still came here even if they were above 20 years old, knowing the rule, they obviously wanted to bypass the sect rules.

The truly unfortunate ones are the poor people who didn't knew about this and just used generations of wealth for nothing. They broke down on the spot, some even tried suicide.

Sect disciples kicked out everyone who didn't go by themselves, they weren't going to give the Spirit Stones back.

Those that passes got into a line, there were two separate lines, one of them had a lot of people, the other very little.

"What are these lines for?"

"In the line with a lot of people are these who are going to take the combat test. The other one is for pill concocting." Said Fan Qing.
