Pat Me Please

Chapter 90

The night was as quiet as if the moon had been put in the fridge.

Yu Zhou let her bare arms and shoulders from beneath the quilt, enjoying the sensation of being draped only in her skin. Every hair on her body greedily cherishing the feeling of the cotton quilt.

Feeling drowsy, she had no idea about the time they had finished their sexual activity last night, or whether she had managed to get any sleep at all.

She leaned close to the edge of the bed, feeling comfort in the area untouched by body warmth, and enjoying the coolness provided by the open air conditioning.

Su Chang shifted behind her, her arm that had been wrapped around Yu Zhou now resting on the pillow. Her fingers entwined in Yu Zhou’s hair, tenderly caressing the back of her head and lightly scratching it.

Feeling ticklish, Yu Zhou shrank away.

She could hear Su Chang’s nasal murmur, “Where are you going?”

Yu Zhou answered, “To check my phone and see what time it is.”

Picking up the phone from the bedside table, she checked the screen – it was almost four o’clock. Squinting her eyes, she unlocked the phone, instinctively placing her thumb on the forum app while recalling the public opinion that Su Chang had mentioned during the day.

However, after thinking for a while and realizing that her ability to withstand it hadn’t fully developed yet, she decided not to look at it, having faith in Su Chang’s ability to handle the situation adequately. But this didn’t mean that she was as indifferent as before, regardless, she could try to support Su Chang in other ways.

Yu Zhou put down the phone, pulled the quilt over her shoulder and nestled back into Su Chang’s embrace.

In only a few hours, the sky was bright. Yu Zhou got up, first glancing at the wadded tissues on the floor.

Yesterday, they had taken a bath halfway through the night and then made love a few more times, both lacking the energy to clean up afterwards. So they had only used tissues to clean up and carelessly tossed them on the ground.

Yu Zhou picked up the tissues and disposed them in the trash bin. She then walked over to the small couch, put on Su Chang’s pajamas that were lying there, buttoning them up as she walked out of the room.

The living room curtains were open and the room was invaded by the sunlight. As Yu Zhou stepped out from the dim bedroom, it felt like returning to the human world.

The cow cat approached Yu Zhou, rubbing against her and brushing its tail against her bare legs, making her feel ticklish. Yu Zhou laughed and squatted down to hug it, but the cat wasn’t fond of being held, pushing away with its hind legs, quickly leaving her soft embrace.

Yu Zhou first checked the cat’s food and water. Then, she found a hairband from the bathroom and used it to tie up her hair. As she secured her hair, she continued her walk towards the Chinese-style kitchen.

Opening the fridge, she found only some eggs and a bit of fruit. On the counter, there was a box of milk. Yu Zhou took out a few eggs, washed her hands and started preparing breakfast.

The meal was simple – just a couple of fried eggs and heated milk.

If she were at home by herself, she wouldn’t bother to heat the food. But considering Su Chang’s weak stomach and the availability of a small milk pot in the kitchen, she decided to heat it up for her.

Because this little milk pot was just so adorable – hahaha.

She tried to keep her movements as quiet as possible, and the room was spacious enough that she shouldn’t disturb Su Chang. But as soon as she put the egg in the pan, she turned around to see Su Chang standing in the doorway, lazily leaning against it, and watching her. Su Chang was wearing another set of pajamas.

Yu Zhou was startled, “Like a cat, you don’t make a sound, do you?”

Su Chang smiled with her eyes slightly swollen.

Yu Zhou went to grab the spatula, “Why are you looking at me?” Instead of acting like a guard, she should come and help.

“I didn’t see you when I woke up, thought you left.” Su Chang said with a gentle laugh, her voice still not fully awake.

“I’m not working now, where would I go?” Yu Zhou flipped the egg over.

Carrying the washed dishes, she headed to the dining room.

As she passed the doorway, Su Chang wrapped her arms around her waist and leaned down to kiss her.

Yu Zhou found it somewhat mushy. Her eyes were smiling, but her body showed slight disdain. She raised her hand to cover Su Chang’s mouth while pushing her back, “Have you brushed your teeth?”

Su Chang spoke into her palm, “Going right now.”

Her lips lightly grazed the palm of Yu Zhou’s hand before releasing her and heading to the bathroom.

After breakfast, Su Chang received a call from Xiang Wan, her expression remained neutral, responded “Mm” a few times before walking to the window, speaking a few words, shaking her head and hanging up.

Yu Zhou went over, sitting on the sofa with her legs bent, looking up at her, “What’s wrong? Is something up?”

“She said the photo has been dug up.” Su Chang replied.

Yu Zhou’s heart tightened, “And then?”

She suddenly felt that not checking the forum last night was the right choice.

“Then she said, in the old phone you gave her before, she found the photos taken at the same time as this one, and the screenshot of that WeChat Moments post before you delete it.” Su Chang glanced at her, knowing that Yu Zhou must have been reluctant to delete it back then, so she took screenshots.

Yu Zhou nodded as she listened to Su Chang’s words. At the beginning, she thought Xiang Wan was an ancient person who probably wouldn’t stay long and wouldn’t know how to use a phone, so when she gave her the old phone without cleaning up the information inside.

“So what does she mean by that?” Yu Zhou didn’t quite understand.

“She said that if I’m willing, she could post these photos along with the original WeChat Moments post, complete with date, onto Weibo, and add a caption to it.”

–This was the first year I started in the industry, but it wasn’t the first year I was exposed to voice acting. A few years ago, when I had just arrived in Jiang City and lived in Sis Chang’s house, I developed an admiration for sound work. Now that I’ve signed with the SC Studio, everything I had thought about was gradually becoming reality. I’m grateful to the boss.

Like this.

Yu Zhou didn’t agree, “She can indeed help you clarify the situation like this, or rather throw up some smoke screens, but doing so would place her at the center of public opinion. I don’t think it’s a good approach.”

Xiang Wan doesn’t care about these messy things. What she actually referred to were the initial photo events at Yu Zhou’s house, where Su Chang taught her the technique of “distracting attention and confusing the situation.”

However, this time was different, and there was a high risk involved.

Especially because the couple of she and Su Chang had become too hot, and now they were in the same studio. It was time to avoid too much connection.

“Mm,” Su Chang says, “I told her I had our legal team prepare a lawyer’s letter.”

Xiang Wan hadn’t really encountered modern legal systems, so she didn’t have much of a concept of it. Su Chang simply told her not to worry, as the legal team would handle it.

“This seems to be… your first time sending a lawyer’s letter.” Yu Zhou confirmed with her.

The matter of the lawyer’s letter felt distant to her. She was just an ordinary person and had only argued with people over things like unpaid debts. The largest amount in question wouldn’t even meet the threshold for filing a case.

“Yeah,” Su Chang sat down on the sofa and moved close to her with a smile, “By the way, I can introduce my studio to the public.”

“You sent a lawyer’s letter just to scare them off, right?” Yu Zhou asked.

“Depends.”

Whether to resort to legal action would be handled by the studio, but Su Chang herself didn’t think these rumors had any real harm.

Yu Zhou scoffed, “Aren’t you afraid of lawsuits? I’m so scared.”

“What is there to be afraid of?”

“I don’t know, but I’m scared about having a lawsuit on my back.” Yu Zhou started fidgeting, as if she’s already starting to worry for Su Chang.

Su Chang laughed at her tease, “What’s so scary about lawsuits?”

“My goodness, lawyers, judges, juries, and then having to go to court, all the evidencing and debating, and then there are verdicts too, with your name written on them. How scary!”

Yu Zhou’s speech quickened.

Su Chang shook her head, her voice gentle, “If you haven’t done anything wrong, there’s nothing to fear, no matter how it’s exposed under the sun.”

“The only circumstance I should be fearful of is that I’m not innocent.”

But she was not being unfaithful.

“Wow, you look so handsome now,” Yu Zhou said, tilting her head to the side, her tied-up long hair falling over her shoulder as her eyes sparkling.

Su Chang couldn’t stand it when Yu Zhou smiled like that under the warm sunlight, with her eyes that only saw Su Chang.

So she pinched Yu Zhou’s earlobe, cradled her face and kissed her.

As their breaths intertwined, Su Chang’s hand began to explore under the hem of Yu Zhou’s nightgown, resting on her waist.

Yu Zhou gave in, pulling her head back slightly, “You…want it again?”

Su Chang also retreated a bit, but her hand continued upwards. Her index finger pressed against the round bottom, lightly lifting it up.

Then she looked at Yu Zhou as her voice even softer than her small movements, “A little bit.”

At last, she also seemed a bit shy, pursing her lips.

“You’re so naughty,” Yu Zhou couldn’t help it.

Su Chang cleared her throat, glancing at her, “Am I?”

“Yes…just a little bit over the line, I think,” Yu Zhou couldn’t help but laugh.

“Let’s cross the line then,” Su Chang, embracing her, whispered in a particularly small voice.

And then they continued what they hadn’t finished on the sofa.

After the foreplay was over, Yu Zhou gently pushed her away, her voice low and filled with desire, “You didn’t wash your hands, did you? Go wash them first.”

“Okay.” Su Chang was about to get up.

Yu Zhou said again, “You should order a few boxes of finger cots online, we didn’t have any yesterday.”

She was embarrassed, thinking about how Su Chang asked her yesterday, “Can you handle two fingers?”

This made her feel dizzy, because there were two implications: first, Su Chang was a bit impatient, wanting to possess her more than just a finger; and second, Su Chang was worried that after so much time apart, Yu Zhou wouldn’t be able to adapt like before.

So this sentence was intimate, distant, and filled with a sense of reunion at the same time.

It made her truly experience what it meant to lose and regain something.

At this moment, still not completely up, Su Chang savored Yu Zhou’s last words, tilting her head slightly and letting out a laugh, “A few boxes?”

Then she looked at her, repaying her gently in Yu Zhou’s own tone, “You’re so naughty.”

So naughty that she didn’t want to use her hands.

Kisses from top to bottom, her lips didn’t need to speak, they could also please people.

Right, Yu Zhou?
