"What do you mean?" I ask.

"You are what we call a lost clan member, meaning you were born and raised outside the clan. As such when you are brought into the clan, you have to be introduced to the head, the elders, the branch vice heads, and the heirs.

I pushed it off till after your evolution to help you, because honestly if you had gone as a kobold, the elders may have tried to deny your introduction. This way at least it's very unlikely for them to outright challenge your claim.

I have told them you are the son of Valoris Taleos Stormfury. There is a stigma attached to that so be prepared. Are you ready?" Explains Vanor.

Steeling myself, I nod in affirmation. He and Rantil start to leave so I quickly follow them. I'm feeling nervous about going in front of so many high ranked dragons who will judge me.

They lead me deeper into the mountain, going lower bearing the heart of the mountain. Rental looks back and says.

"Stop looking so scared, These guys are naturally born dragons with an arrogance to match. They won't like a descendant that looks timid, and weak. Act confident but polite, it's a hard line stay between I know but tries"

Nodding, I raise my head up, and take a deep breath, releasing my tension.

After several minutes, we arrive at a large opening. Sitting above us are dozens of massive, ancient dragon elders. Right in front of us is an even larger dragon king. I can tell what he is from the aura coming off from him. It makes me want to kneel down in veneration.

Fighting it with all my strength, I struggle to maintain my projection of confidence. These are some of the strongest beings I have ever seen gathered together, with all of their attention focused on me.

"Vanor Taleos Stormfury, First son of Visarios Taleos Stormfury, Heir of the Taleos branch clan. Who do you bring before us?" asks The dragon king, his eyes never leaving me.

"Feared Clan Alpha, I bring Valoris Taleos Stormfury, only son of Valoris Taleos Stormfury my second son as a lost member of the clan, he wants to return to the clan" answers Vanor looking straight at the clan head.

" Can you attest to this dragonkin's ferocity, loyalty, and ability?"

Asks one of the branch clan heads, a heavily scarred dragon elder with a crippled wing. I had noticed the moment I had walked in, he had stared at me with more than just curiosity like the others, there was also a trace of happiness that I thought odd.

"Reporting to the Taleos branch clan head, I can attest to this young dragonkin's ability, ferocity, and loyalty are without question," answers Vanor very formally, even more so then when he answered the clan alpha.

"Unless there are any objections, then his acceptance will be approved," said the clan alpha

Silence, looking around I can see that after I was identified as the original Valoris's son, most of them seemed to lose interest. Which makes sense, I'm insignificant to them since they figure I won't cause any issue with their schemes.

"Then as Clan Alpha, I Tale Taleos Stormfury First son of Talen Taleos Stormfury Storm Hammer, recognize, and welcome Valoris Taleos Stormfury, first son of Valoris Taleos Stormfury The Ferocious" Announces Tale his voice shaking with power.

My mind rattled by the sudden increase in power. I now before I say

"I recognize, and thank the clan alpha"

I manage to say before bowing down from the pressure again.

Following Vanor's lead, I slowly back out before walking away gasping.

"What was that??"

"The Alpha directed his dragon might into his words, creating words of power. It's not something that you need to worry about right now" answers Vanor

"Oh, okay. Now what?" I ask eagerly to start learning.

"Rentil, take him to the library, I want him to learn about the clan's history, specifically our branches history. After that l, get him the body refinement method, and elemental cultivation method of the clan.

Valoris, I sent some scouts to the Bloody Fang. And I'm expecting them to be back tomorrow. Once I have heard from then we will decide on our next move" says Vanor before heading back to his room.

"Come on, this way to the library"

Following her, we arrive in a humongous cave, countless tomes, and maps. Excited by all the knowledge inside just waiting for me to learn I turn to Rentil and ask.

"Where do I start?"

She grabs a very old looking tome and sets it down in front of me.

"First learn about Taleos Stormfury, the originator of our branch, and notable members of our branch. It will explain a lot of the higher-up's mentality"

I open up the tome, on the first page in Dragonic it says.

"This records the life of Taleos Stormfury, 3rd son of the original storm dragon, Demon Lord Slayer, Ruler of the skies.

Renowned for his skill in aerial combat. The name Taleos to this day still strikes fear in all of demonkind though they have different nicknames for him.

City burner, Ravager, Demon Lord killer. Taleos wasn't the most talented of his siblings. But what he lacked in talent was more than made up for by his brutality, cool-headedness, and ferocity.

Was almost ostracized by the rest of his family for taking a Flame Phoenix as his mate, when she was brutally murdered by the demons. He went on a rampage, destroying several cities, and killing a demon lord who was the right-hand general of the demon king.

After a dozen years of continued eradication, Taleos was deeply wounded by a trap set by the demons. Fighting his way free, he secluded himself away from the public eye healing. This tome covers the deeds of him, and his descendants"

Enthralled Valoris continued to read on.

Sorry to use the chapter to talk about something, but the word limit makes it too hard.

So I was offered a contract with a web novel last week. After reviewing it, and doing some research on here, and in general I decided to decline.

So rejoice! you will get to read most of this novel for free! I eventually plan to release this on Amazon, so the last 10 chapters of the book or so won't are released. I hope you can all understand that. Just to give you an idea there's going to be at least 125 chapters in volume one.

But it did give me an idea, I decided to create a ******* to help support me, but mostly to pay for ill.u.s.trations of various characters in the book.
