Chapter 30 - 30 Dragon Peaks

*4 Months later*

After 3 months traveling in the wilderness, Valoris finally arrives at the base of Dragon Peaks. The two pieces of high tier meat and the bloodline net purification has helped him make great progress in purifying his bloodline. He currently is near the peak of Pureblood, the highest known bloodline purity a regular beastkin can achieve.

A huge mountain range, Dragon Peaks has been home to dragon clans for centuries. Each mountain is home to a different clan.

"Stop! what business do you have with the peaks?"

asks a huge magma wyvern. Thick reddish-brown scales that simmer with heat cover her entire body.

"I'm here to speak with the Stormfury clan. It's a somewhat private matter" answers Valoris intimidated. While she might be the same evolution as his master Mezal, it was clear she was at peak bloodline purity, one step away from becoming a dragonling, also she was much older and would be classified as a Queen.

"I can tell you now if I go to the Stormfuries and only tell them that an infant kobold wants to speak to them, they will laugh and think I'm joking. What do you want to discuss with them?"

".....tell them it is about Valoris Stormfury."

"I know that name from somewhere, very well wait here. I will pass your message to them and see if they want to meet you" saying that she takes off into the air, her left-wing struggling to keep her aloft. It appeared her wing was crippled and had not healed properly.

"It's clear that with the Silverbacks aligning with the Bloody Fang, both who aren't fond of the Crimson Flame, my tribe is at a disadvantage.

If this works out well I might be able to convince the Stormfuries to align with my tribe. I hope my tribe members are okay, While I'm waiting I'm gonna work on "Demons Enduring Determination". I managed to do almost 3 sets in a row"

Focusing on trying to complete the third set, he almost misses the wyvern And an ancient storm dragon elder who stares at him with a burning curiosity.

"You are the one with information about Valoris?"

"Yes Emperor" answers Valoris trembling, the aura coming off from the dragon elder matches that of Emperor Cernunnos, only it seems much more unrestrained.

"Thank you Shaal, you, kobold this is your only chance if you are lying to leave. If you are telling the truth get on. We will speak about this at my clan's mountain." says the dragon elder.

Climbing on, Valoros holds onto the large spikes coming out of the elders back. They fly for half an hour before arriving at the center of the range, where the oldest clans live.

The dragon elder slowly lands in front of a large cave.

"Follow me"

Following the ancient dragon, Valoris arrives at a massive room with no one else inside.

"Do you know who I am?"

"No emperor"

"My name is Vanor, Valoris was my son. He disappeared over 80 years ago and using a bloodline trace I know he is dead. So tell me, how does a kobold with a storm dragon lineage, that a less than a decade old know anything about my son?" asks Vanor

Valoris tells his story, about how he was born a Thinblood, was outcasted to the mines, how he found the rats, and how he eventually found the bones of an adolescent wyvern that through the lineage memories he knew was named Valoris Stormfury, how he took Valoris's name as his own in honor of him, and finally how there were ancient swords sticking out of several places in the Original Valoris's body.

" Sigh... oh my son, my determined son. He wasn't talented like his older brother was, instead of being born a dragonling, his bloodline actually regressed to that of a wyvern. But he made up for it with pure ferocity. Instead of living here and being ignored, or pitied. He came to me and told me he planned to start his own clan.

That he would search for a place far away from here, train his descendants, while also training himself. That the name Valoris Stormfury would be known by everyone. And finally, prove to his older brother that talent alone doesn't make someone strong. I agreed with him so I gave my approval, and that is the last I saw of him." said Vanor more to himself it seemed then to Valoris.

" You said you were born a Thinblood? it seems fate has intervened by allowing you to inherit my son's lineage, both born without the talent to cultivate, but both having an unbreakable determination.... this is good, you can continue on his final will.

In fact, I suppose this makes you half family, doesn't it? bah, who cares if it does, a lonely old man like me needs company or we fade away. Looking at you, I will say this. You have prepared your body to basic perfection to evolve, what are you waiting for?" asks Vanor acting warmer towards Valoris as he talks.

"Originally I was waiting for me to be a peak Pureblood before evolving, but...I learned about something recently that makes me want to wait" answers Valoris

"And what is that?"

Valoris explains the Bloody Fangs history, and out Rell, and about his theory that they have created a way to manufacture Ancestor level bloodlines.

Vanor at first interested loses that after hearing about Rell's stats.

"Tch that it? that's nothing compared to our Dragon God Bloodline. It looks like they got their hands on some of it and tried to recreate it, and this is the flawed product they created."

"Dragon God Bloodline? What is that?"

"Something available only to those of the original descendants of a dragon god. It holds the smallest amount of the dragon god's divinity within it. It improves every aspect of the Dragonkin who earns it. Some actually even then cant withstand it and die. For the ones who survive, It opens up doors in cultivating most thought closed. Demigod becomes a possibility"

Answers Vanor while evaluating Valoris before standing up and looking at him with an intense gaze.

"Valoris I, Vanor Stormfury. Heir to the Stormfury Taleos branch clan, offer you an invitation. Do you accept?"
