Chapter 15 - 15 The Hunt

Silence once again descended on the arena as everyone processed that there were two incredible talents in the newest generation.

On one hand, you had an Ancestor level bloodline and a genius at cultivation. She also had the backing of a Tribe with a high tier Dragoness as their ancestor. The only weakness one could say was that besides her Bloodline and Cultivation, her stats were fairly average.

On the other, you had a Kobold with monster level Will, the Body of a Demon, and a rare lineage of a Storm dragon. Almost like a mirror to Rell his weakness's was his Cultivation and his backing as he came from a tribe that had very little history.

the last few contestants finished with no surprises. At one end of the Arena, a large panel was hanging when it lights up and the current rankings were shown.

1: Rell 97 points

2: Valoris 94 points

3: Tarn 84 points

4: Marsall 78 points

5: Delior 71 points

With a total of 85 contestants, it became clear that the top 5 had an overwhelming advantage over the others at number six only got 56 points.

As Rell crawled back to join the other contestants, she made her over to Valoris and stared at him for a couple seconds before talking.

"Valoris, I must admit I'm impressed. I honestly expected no one to come even close to my score at all. I represent the Bloody Fang in asking if you would be interested in coming over to our tribe? With your potential and strength, even Master Selena may take an interest in you"

....

...

Everyone was surprised by Bloody Fang's arrogance. True while they were the strongest tribe of Dragonkin that attended the Blood Matches, to openly poach another's tribe member in the middle of the matches took arrogance to another level.

"Hahahhaha oh, gods, today is a great day," said Valoris smiling so big his mouth hurt. Oddly everyone noticed that the Crimson Flame Tribe members who by all rights should be furious also was smiling and watching like they were about to see a great show.

Walking over to Mezal Valoris asked for the bag he had asked him to hold before coming back to Rell and throwing it at her feet. confused she opened it and saw 7 low-grade pieces of meat. She looked back at him confused.

"What's this?" She asked

" My debt to the Bloody Fang, from now on we have no relation," answered Valoris still smiling as if he was waiting for her next question.

"....We had a relationship before?" asked Rell still unsure what was happening.

" I am the son of Gerim and Nartica of the Bloody Fang Clan, Born a Thinblood and thrown in the mines on the day of my birth. This is the debt I owed the mine, as of now I no longer have any ties to the Bloody Fang Tribe." Yelled Valoris as loud as he could making sure everyone could hear him.

...

"Hahaahhaahhah this kid Is too much! Herne was right! hahaha" once again it was the old Chamrosh who broke the silence.

Rell was shocked with everyone else, she finally understood how Valoris come Valoris's Will was classified at the level of Monster. What he had to endure to reach this point terrified her honestly.

But the person most shocked was a large male Kobold sitting in the middle of the section reserved for the Blood Fang. As soon as Valoris said he was the son of Gerim and Nartica she jumped up shocked. Everyone around him stared at him.

"Gerim come here," Said a massive blood-red kobold nearly 12 ft long.

"Yes Alpha," Said Gerim scared as he crawled towards the leader of the Bloody Fang, before prostrating himself.

"Explain"

"Lord Kennar, I honestly dont understand. It's true we did give birth to a son a year ago who was a Thinblood. I swear he was! he was sickly, and small, and could barely breathe. So he gave him to the mines" assured Gerim

" And his name where did you get that?" asked Lord Kennar

" We didn't name him. I dont know where he got that" admitted Gerim looking guilty. as soon as he admitted he hadn't given his own son a name he was looked at with disgust.

It was one thing to abandon a child that was born weak and deformed. After all, this was the land of beasts. only the strong were of value, the weak were held in contempt. But to deny your own child a name was beyond what even beasts could tolerate.

" We will discuss your punishment later"

"Yes Lord," said Gerim is shaken to his core. He had thrown away what he desperately wanted and was rattled.

While this was going on Rell was staring at Valoris in shock before asking

" what you said is true? you were born a Thinblood?" Rell had since birth been told she was the most talented beast of her generation. That no one could come close to her in talent. It had formed the bedrock for her pride, and that pride had just been destroyed.

The kobold before he had started at a point so low they were considered lower than regular animals. And had managed to climb up to point he nearly beat her. Honestly, before this revelation, she had been more than a little concerned about how she was going to fight him. And now to find out his starting point, He frankly made the rest if they look like trash.

"It's true, In fact, if I'm seeing right Gerim Is being interrogated by your father right now. anyways thanks for the offer but I must decline" answered Valoris before walking away " That felt awesome" he thought.

" ....we will now move on to the next match. The Hunt!"
