Not Like In The Movies

The feeling of fear and despair when one was all alone in the world. It was precisely on that day that Fei Shuang realized she had no one to rely on. And the shocking truth was frustrating because nothing would change. Even if she was scared of shedding more tears.

'Someone,please help..'

In preparation to find a tool to cut the zip ties ,she heard noises outside the cellar. There were footsteps and she heard the kidnappers' voices. It sounded like Huang Jin's talking with her captors. Now was the time for her to make a move. She scanned her surroundings once more now that her eyes had adjusted to the dim lights,and spotted the kitchen tools. A Knife,there was a knife! But how could she reach to it,all tied up?

Before she could think of a way to get to the knife, she heard chaos that time outside the cellar. There were gunshots and she heard sirens.

'Thank God!'

She had a great feeling about it and relieved too. There were two policeman and rescue squad who barged into the cellar with short guns and snipers. She saw the two bad kidnappers were lying on the ground with their hands up.

"Don't worry,you're safe now." The policeman said as he untied her. A guy came in with a familiar face she knew. She covered her mouth when she saw Li Jing came to her. (T/N: Li Jing was first introduced at chapter two)

Li Jing smiled as he held back his tears. He actually wanted to cry since Fei Shuang was happy to see him.

He hugged Fei Shuang and was terrified with her face expressions. "I'm sorry for being late," he touched her face, "it's all over. Everything's going to be alright."

Her tears overflowed with joy as he said that. She never thought,even for the slightest second that her crazy lover would come to her rescue.

"Were you hurt in any way?" Fei Shuang shook her head with a sobbing face.

Li Jing tilted his head in disbelief. She needed medication at that instant but first, he introduced the guy next to him as one of his men called WeiKung . He explained to her that he was assigned by him to keep a close eye on her ever since was discharged from the hospital. He also explained why Wei Kung didn't rescue her back then when she was about to be abducted because the kidnappers where armed and he didn't want to risk her life. The issue of timing was very important so, he followed them all the way to their hideout and made sure that she was alive before informing him. Then, he called the police and came for her rescue.

Fei Shuang thanked both of them for saving her.

It was an awful day which exposed all the truth about Pan Er and Huang Jin. She and Li Jing were sent to a hospital in an ambulance escorted by the policemen and a troop of soldiers.

Inside the ambulance,Li Jing kept looking at her and didn't let go of her hand. She asked herself for once, why didn't she like this guy in the first place?

"I'm sorry." She said,daring not to look at him in the eye.

"..."

"For what?" He asked casually. He didn't want to see her sad anymore.

"For everything and accusing you of kidnapping my ex back then. I acted so rude and—"

"Shhh...it's ok. Get some rest,Fei Fei." Li Jing said so gently with a smile on his face. He was relieved to see that her wounds were treated. Even though he'd felt pain because of Fei Shuang's current situation.

Her head throbbed with pain because it overflowed her emotions. Okay." Fei Shuang nodded and closed her eyes tightly, trying to resist pain. He kissed her hand and let a deep sigh.

-301 Hospital-

Fei Shuang was taken for medical and psychological examinations as well as treatments where necessary.

She needed to be admitted to the hospital for several days.

When Zhen Zhu heard from Monkey that Fei Shuang was found, she could hardly stand. It was one of the best days of her life. Before she met Fei Shuang, she never knew that it was possible to miss someone so badly. Tears flowed out from her eyes as her heart couldn't take it anymore. The pain aside was terrible. She just wanted to see her, hug her, make her smile and make her laugh again.

-Hospital room-

Zhen Zhu's tired look and disheveled hair frightened Fei Shuang when she entered her room at the hospital. Zhen Zhu stood by their door and whispered fearfully, "Are you okay?" Her eyes wandered at the woman wearing a light green hospital gown.

Fei Shuang rubbed her eyes as she nodded a few times. She waved her hand at Zhen Zhu to come closer. Zhen Zhu shifted the chair beside her bed and sat there. Her eyes were sad when she saw the bandages wrapped around Fei Shuang's wrists. Her heart felt like it was pierced with a sword.

Fei Shuang felt a lump in her throat and coughed. There was blood on her hand.

"Fei Shuang,what's wrong?! Someone call a doctor!"

She was made available at the hospital for debriefing by the police. They said it was important for effective investigation,and prevention of recurrence.

Even though, she was sad about the fact that Huang Jin was still not found and that Pan Er committed suicide in her own home, she was glad that many people cared about her. She got her friends like the ladies gang,Miss Long,Li Jing,Doctor Xiao,Li Chu,Ji-Ro and Yang Mi. She decided to drop all charges against Huang Jin as a way of repaying Yang Mi for saving her life.

Some time later..

Time was flying by day by day,spring and mild weather had come to Beijing,and was much warmer and more pleasant than the last month. Various flowers were in full bloom,and trees were gradually turning green. The temperature rose continuously day by day and climbed up to 20°C during warm afternoons.

When she got discharged to go home for outpatient care, Zhen Zhu was patient with her while she gradually came out of Post-Traumatic Stress(PTS), which emanates from her stressful,frightening and distressing events. A rabbit was given to her by Li Jing as a ther.a.p.eutic pet.

An expert advice from a Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) manager was also required because she was almost s.e.x.u.a.lly assaulted while being held captive.
