Not Like In The Movies

Rui Zhe let go of a deep sigh. "Yeah. I spiked the champagnes from the previous night with rohypnol [1] drug." She blurted out.

"You did...what?"

The ladies jaw dropped to the ground hearing what Rui Zhe said.

Feng Jiu raised one of her eyebrows in surprise. "But why?"

"In order to have a good party." Seeing their expressions morph, Rui Zhe quickly added on, "I did feel sick a few times seeing how brides were pressured into trying to cheat with strippers but i didn't want you to go through that. You'll surely lament it for the rest of your life. No one likes the idea of remembering sleeping with a stranger." Rui Zhe stared at them with eyes full of sincerity. She wasn't lying. "It's just horrible and mostly embarrassing. Now that none of us know what we did last night,we can go on with our lives as if nothing ever happened." Rui Zhe continued with her speech.

"I understand but, you should have asked for our suggestions first. Geez!" Zhen Zhu hissed as she walked towards the bathroom. She was really pissed off by her, what would she tell Fei Shuang when she goes back? That she roll in bed with her Doctor?! Her rival? That would be so shameful.

"I'm really sorry." Rui Zhe apologized feeling guilty. Her lips curled down while she kept her head down.

She only wanted them to have some fun. She didn't expect things to turn out that way. Judging from how mad Zhen Zhu was,she could guess that she slept with a stranger and it hurts.

Feng Jiu took her words with silence. She understood Rui Zhe very well. She could relate to the same guilt Rui Zhe felt.

"It's okay,i understand. But don't do that ever again,at least ask for our opinions first." Feng Jiu patted Rui Zhe on the shoulder. It's already being done,they can't change the past. All they can do now is look at the future and prepare for her wedding. Su Ying and Jie Liang also agreed with Big Jiu. She must ask their permissions first!

"Yeah,you should ask us first next time. In fact there is no next time." Miss White Head said softly with a sigh tracing her breath.

Rui Zhe nodded her head.

1:00 pm, Gardens by the bay.

It was a very sweet day and for a wedding in November, it couldn't have been a better weather situation. A large, beautiful tent and flooring had been erected on the lawn where the reception was to be held. The column and altar was decorated with white flowers. The sparkling aisle was filled with mesmerising fairy lights, giving it a beautifully and unique design.

Upon arrival, guests were invited to enjoy a c.o.c.ktail by the small artificial pond before the ceremony.

The groomsmen first walked down the isle, each wearing a black tuxedo with a white bow tie and black vest followed by Tian Yi who wore a white tux with a black tie and a white vest. The photographers captured their photos at that instant.

Tian Yi was now standing at the altar waiting for his bride.

"Eh,are you nervous?" One of the groomsmen nudged Tian Yi's stomach teasing him.

"Hey don't do that." Tian Yi threw back at Xiao Tian who had a huge grin on his face.

"You had it all written on your face." Xiao Tian teased, looking at him.

"Do you want a drink?" Tian Yi asked the other, trying to change the topic. How could he not be nervous,it's his wedding day for God's sake.

"Sure." Xiao Tian understood why he changed the topic, he really was nervous and panicking at the same time. Xiao Tian waved at the waiter, asking him to bring them some drinks.

"Here, *offers him a drink* everything's gonna be fine." Xiao Tian pats him on the shoulder.

"Thanks." Tian Yi accepted the drink, adjusting his tie.

Soon after, the brides maids appeared

all wearing matchmaking blush inesse dressess. They were immediately welcomed by the flashlights of the photographers.

Once all of the guests had arrived, Zhen Zhu walked towards the altar, holding her tablet and the ladies including Zhao Bai and Xiao Lan, found their seats around a custom made gazebo, waiting for the bride to make her entrance.

The moment Zhen Zhu reached the altar, her eyes met a familiar face standing alongside with the groom. She blinked few times when she finally recognized the man's face.

"Doctor Xiao.." She couldn't help but mutter, "what are you doing here?" She asked in a low voice.

"I'm here to attend my cousins' wedding. I'm his best man by the way." Xiao Tian looked down at Zhen Zhu with cold eyes.

'Not bad.' Xiao Tian thought as he scanned her body from head to toe.

"Oh." She muttered to herself as she slightly lowered her head. So that was why he's in Singapore and in the same Hotel they're staying at. He was Tian Yi's blood relative!

"Eh?" Tian Yi paused. "Do you two know each other?"

Before the latter could utter a word, the doors to the garden opened on the other side of the pond which caught their attention, and Feng Jiu & her father, Feng Xiao, walked hand-in-hand down the awesome aisle and towards the lovely altar, where the priest will perform the ceremony. Her grand entrance didn't escape the eyes of the photographers.

Feng Jiu wore a white A-line dress. It was slowly more flowy than a ball gown and had fitted bodices through the waist and cascade-out towards the ground, resembling the outline of an uppercase, giving her a sleak and s.e.xy look. Her almond brown eyes shone with excitement. Her small lips slightly parted, exposing her perfect alabaster teeth,dimples were pressed under Feng Jiu's high cheekbones. Her soft hand terminated in painted,polished mauve nails. She stood at 5'5 and had a voluptuous figure. She looked so beautiful that many guests gasped in awe. Zhen Zhu quickly adjust her position right next to Xiao Tian since she's the maid of honor and he's the best man. She immediately reconnected Fei Shuang's call so that she could have a clear view of the wedding ceremony.

"I leave her in your care." Feng Xiao smiled at Tian Yi as he gently let go of Feng Jiu's hand as they stopped at the altar.

Tian Yi nodded with a subtle smile. "I won't disappoint you father-in-law." He slowly pulled her towards him. Feng Xiao smiled in satisfaction with the man's action. His daughter was in good hands.

"You look so beautiful,just like an angel." He looked at her with admiring eyes.

Hearing his words,Feng Jiu suddenly blushed red. "Thanks dovey."

The two were photographed once again before the ceremony commence.

For their parts of the ceremony, Feng Jiu and Tian Yi had just finished exchanging their vows and now both managed to hold it together to seal the marriage with a kiss. To robust applause, they stepped out of the gazebo and embraced their families. Yu He and Xin Hui, Tian Yis' parents, were beaming watching their son marry the love of his life and wishing them well. Yu He later shared that he and Xin Hui would be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary in about a week.

Following the ceremony, Tian Yi and Feng Jiu received guests and well wishes by the pond as folks enjoyed c.o.c.ktails before dinner. Not even the brief rain could dampen the spirits of everyone under the main tent. Tables were named after places Tian Yi and Feng Jiu have visited during their relationship and decorated with pictures from that particular locale. At Zhen Zhu's table, Tokyo, they enjoyed pictures that noted that trip was to celebrate Tian Yi's birthday. One photo featuring Tian Yi in a wooden booth also noted that the best time for ramen noodles was 4:30am.

Hu Ye gave a brief speech as he introduced Tian Yi's best man,Xiao Tian, who gave a touching speech of just how wonderful Tian Yi was and how much he meant to his family and friends. Feng Jiu's maid of honor, Zhen Zhu, followed with a speech summarizing how Tian Yi brought out the absolute best in Feng Jiu, wishing them a life of happiness. All that happy moments were seen together with Fei Shuang as she wished them a happy married life too.

The dinner was delicious as people might expect, followed by a few hours of energetic dancing. As the night came to an end, Zhen Zhu caught a glimpse of Feng Jiu and Tian Yi looking at each other and their excitement for each other was simply contagious.

"Oh yeah, you and Xiao Tian! You guys were pretty cool. You make a good match." Su Ying said cheekly as she sipped her wine.

"Eh?" Zhen Zhu stared at her blankly, as if she didn't understand what she was saying. Katherine, Jie Liang and Rui Zhe couldn't help but burst into giggles.

" Don't give me that eh, being man and maid of honor was pretty cool! We also know how hard you've tried to do your best."

"T—Thank you for your— i mean kind words."

Zhen Zhu stumbled on her words as she put on a fake smile. Looking up at Xiao Tian's direction, what shook her even more was that he threw a flirtatious wink to her to instkilled her.

'Damn you pervert!'
