A young man in his twenties looked from the top of the tree as he leisurely waved his legs. "You must be Liu Mei." But then froze as he saw her sarcastic smile. What is this about?

Liu Mei poked Xiao Ran's head as she stood in front of her fearlessly, trying to protect her. "He is monk, you fool." She pointed at his clothing and bearing itself. Baldhead, praying beads and his monk cloth was literally screaming his identity.

Xiao Ran blinked a few times and realized that he is really just a monk. "Oh... Indeed. But who knows He can be as well imposter or something. Look he is too young.''

He chuckled as he jumped down. "You have interesting servants. This little girl is cute. Xiao Ran, right? Xiao Ran, tell me, young people can't be monks?"

Thinking about that, Xiao Ran blushed. Indeed monks exist any age. She had to let her mouth work faster than her mind. She patted her lips as punishment making him laugh again.

Liu Mei almost started laughing at her expression. "Yes, she is cute. I accepted her to be my little sister. Do have some respect, old man." She was now completely certain who was standing in front of her.

"Old man?" Xiao Ran saw the astonished expression on his face and realized that he looked like that old monk, only much younger. "Old monk? Or his descended? Do monks get married and have children?"

''You little fool. It is the old man we met before, not his family member.'' Her words made Xiao Ran speechlessly stare at the young monk, trying to find any aging signs.

He was surprised. Even people that knew him for decades thought he was just one of his descendants. Only Liu Mei could tell right away it is him. "How did you know?"

She shrugged. "You can fake many things accept eyes and voice. At least for me, I can hear even if you are good. I met before people that could hide their voices very well, but I could still hear their voice. Same with you. You were never old. Are you one of the Eternals?'' She read some books in the palace and by chance got to learn of them. She was curious to talk to him, but there was no time now.

He became serious. " How do you know?"

She shook her head. "I have no time to explain. Can't you transfer me and my people outside the town as soon as I'm done here? You can come with us."

"I can't. There is the reason I am here. After did that to you, my powers got weaker. I want to regain my power by praying and to use it in case of grave danger. ''He rose his hand and started mumbling something. "You helped them with food. So your destiny really changed for the better. Why are you going to that place?"

"I heard that people there are kind and goodhearted. I plan to stay there until my son is born. If I finish my tasks fast, will you let me go back home faster?" She looked at him and he sighed.

"Only if he takes care of that mess in the palace on time." He saw her flatly looking at him. ''What?"

"Are you planning not to let this child ever see his father?'' She did like the Emperor, but the point in all this was for the Emperor to get his child to be able to save the world. If he never sees him, what did she do so far?

He blanked. ''What do you mean?'' He already started smiling while she started ranting

''Things like messy palace exist even in Empires that have only one Emperor and one Empress. I can't hide from such things for eternity. If you plan to let my child become a traveler, then say so. Then don't make promises to that man without any substance. Then he can find another woman and get children that would inherit that throne.'' She was clearly starting to get angry.
