"What? What is it?" He looked at him and saw nothing strange.

"Mister Lao, do you have any use for that part of the land?" Liu Mei rubbed her chin as she looked at him.

"Not really. That is the reason why am I astonished by their reactions."

"Then my idea could give you or bigger problem or get rid of problems completely."

He looked at her serious face and sat down next to his wife. "Please speak."

"You could or go to Commander Chen Li to investigate the case or do it somewhat even more radical. Ask him to gift that piece of land to the army."

"Army?"

"Yes. If you gift it to him it will be bad for him. If you gift it to the country, who knows who will get it. But gifting it to the army as a ground for their training, as there is nothing there, wouldn't be so weird. But, you have to tell him about this situation and warn him. It seems there is a bigger picture behind that piece of land."

He nodded happily. "Yes, I will go that. I can't use that land anyway for anything, gifting it to the army is not a bad idea. But why are you actually here? It is impossible that you came by mistake." He lived in the side street, so only those that wanted to come would be here.

"I want to open a store with cheap food. It will be food from the previous year or even older but in good a condition. I plan to sell it to people that don't have much money. I already found people that will work there. I just need a place. Do you have any place near the main road? It doesn't have to be the main road, it's enough if it's nearby."

He sighed. "What about buying a house near the main road and just opening store from there. Or we can build a store."

"It seems you gave an idea."

He nodded. "After you bought house people found out that I know more people and started telling me about it. I am thinking to become a landlord myself. There is this one house with a small garden but a big house in front with one more house in back. Two families live there so they build it that way. We can change walls and make one of it into a store."

"How much is the house and how much would change cost me?"

As they spoke about prices she made deal with him and paid in advance as she knew he will take care of it properly. She never went to the city, so she wanted to do that one day, but felt a bit tired.

"I want to go and walk through the city. But I feel sleepy. Sigh." She rubbed her tired eyes lightly.

"Miss in two days there is a big feast in the city that is happening just twice a year. There will be many pretty things to see and buy. We can take that small grown-up person and let her have some fun as well."

"Oh, good. Then let's have some fun. And send a message to Kang's. In the next few days, they can come with everything here. That place will be ready by then."

"Too bad, they won't be able to open before that celebration." Hua Roulan sighed.

"Who says its bad? Isn't it better? With all the crazy things that day people will not go to buy food. They want something to make them happy for one day, so they could forget their worries for a day at least. After that is better, definitely."

When they came home they found Xiao Ran asleep while holding pen in her hand. As it seems she wanted to paint something but gave yo and fell asleep.

Liu Mei carefully touched her head and it was just normal so she smiled st Hua Roulan.

"Take her into bed. It's not good for her to sleep like this." She took the pen from her hands and Hua Roulan picked her up and slowly brought to their room.

When she came back she saw Liu Mei seeping the tea and sat down as well. "Liu Mei, what is your plan now?"

"Open store, let others work and go pray to the temple. The temple... We will go after we finish all this." She smiled and leaned happily on her chair that she made people make in the palace, just for her.

Leaning chair where she cloud raises her legs up and just enjoy. The quality of the chair could be compared to modern times and she just chuckled as she saw Hua Roulan carefully leaning as well.

She actually made few of these chairs as she let them everywhere in her place. But as they are three she brought only three with her.

"When the winter comes we can just sit outside like now with heater next to us and enjoy our days. Praying, enjoying good warm tea and beautiful view."

Hua Roulan strangely loved this thing. "Miss, this chair is quite comfortable. You have so many good ideas."

"Mhmmm. Yes..." Liu Mei nodded as she closed her eyes blissfully. If she knew that there were similar chairs with massage functions, how would she react? Massage, should she teach these two women? After all, soon her body will start feeling more bloated...

The days afterwards they just were sitting around or playing with strange trinkets they bought in the other city. With good food, easy mind a day passed quite fast again.

The day of the festival came. In north women didn't cover either their faces or heads, as there was no strong sun or any regulations. By now the three already bought local clothes and waited the time when everyone else rushed to the town to have fun.

This time all three chose to walk to the city. The streets were filled with people and they had no one to watch over their carriage as all the places were overfilled. After all, this kind of festival was very rare.

Hua Roulan tried to protect Liu Mei as much as she could from the crowd but on end just realised it was easier just to walk inflow of crowd so there were fewer problems. But of course, problems would not just pass them so easily.

''Stop right there, you wicked woman?'' A loud yell could be heard and a woman rushed to the crowd towards the three of them. As she got near Liu Mei she suddenly stumbled and fell face forward on the street. She suddenly started crying out loud and pointing fingers at the three women.

''Murder! They are trying to murder me!'' She hit her c.h.e.s.t and started waling while local guards rushed towards them.

''What is going on?'' He saw a woman sitting on the street and crying while the crowd was surrounding her.

She grabbed the poor guard on his leg and hugged it while crying even louder. ''They tried to kill me, look how much they hit em so I fell down and hurt myself. Dear officer, I want to sue these foreigners!''

He rose his head and met calm Liu Mei that stepped forward and bowed slightly. ''Mister officer, I am really a foreigner. An escapee from neighbour country. I came here, found myself a nice safe home where I will raise my child with my sisters and live a very calm life. But this woman attacked first mister Lao San that she was his mistress. And now she jumped behind us, no idea why and accused us that we hit her. But she was behind our back, please tell us how can we... this is just... sigh. I am speechless.''

She just had no words to describe the situation. But police officer understood. He smirked at the woman and pushed her away and then turned his eyes towards Liu Mei . ''Are we talking about Gentlemen Lao San that gifted his land to the army?''

Liu Mei just nodded. ''Yes. He was attacked twi days before and I luckily was on my way there to give him order to repair my home with his men, when I saw the strange situation. She not only tried to dirty his name, she even tried to make him divorce his legal wife and I couldn't watch and help him. I think she still just holds grudges. Sir, if nothing else you may ask anyone around if we did it. We were literally on that side of the street and she was on the opposite. I am not flying sparrow to fly to her and then back over such a crowd of people, in such a small amount of time.''

To make her words true she blinked at him and flapped her hands on the side, making everyone laugh. Even he understood that the woman was trying to make the thing difficult for these three women, so he just rolled his eyes and pointed at woman's face. ''Kan Luo, I know your parents, so I am usually good to you. But do not involve me in your messy things. If you accuse one more time anyone without proof, I will arrest you. This is the last time I forgive you.''

He turned his head and slightly bowed to Liu Mei and went away with his people, while Kan Luo stared at Liu mei and her sisters with eyes filled with hatred. ''One day, I will revenge...''
