New World's Empress

Cold silence suddenly enveloped everyone. Liu Mei was still on the floor in a deep bow in front of the Emperor while the servants just looked at her with angry eyes.

''You can't slander our mistress and her family! ''One of the servants just stood up and pointed at her carelessly. ''Our mistress family is well renown and scholarly. They have no such attitudes.''

Xiao Ran entered and scoffed. ''Interesting. A servant from outside is a servant from outside. No rules whatsoever.''

She went in front of the Emperor and kneeled. ''Your Majesty. They came in and overpowered everyone. I would like to beg in forgiveness for our mistress as she was unable to handle well this situation. Please forgive her.''

Emperor held teacup in his hands and looked at shattered pieces on the floor. Liu Mei's hands were over a couple of pieces and got cut. Few drops of blood fell on the floor but she still was in the same position. His face darkened as his eyes became icy. ''Good family Rong. It seems they have some ambition for the throne. Servants!''

No one went in by his call and then he took teacup and threw it straight at the servant. The young servant stepped aside and blinked at Emperor in surprise. Xiao Ran shook her head. This is how people loose heads in the palace.

''Your Highness, please do not harm my servants. They did it in my order. I haven't be given any food last night and now none of us was about to be given food for the whole day. I have no idea what is going on, but someone is working against me here in place.'' Rong Hou entered and walked quickly towards Emperor not even greeting him appropriately.

''Oh? I guess you didn't get the verbal Edict?'' He rose his eyebrows.

Rong Hou stopped as she heard his words. ''I thought they made mistake. I haven't done anything to be punished. May I ask your Highness to explain.''

Xiao Ran almost chocked hearing her words. Her whole body started shaking as she bowed as well towards the floor just like Liu Mei.

''Interesting. Are you Emperor? Not even Dowager would dare to ask me why I do things my way without big reason. This situation I am now can obliterate your whole Rong family. Do you even realize that? And I can order you to be cut in small pieces while kept alive.'' His face held a smile but it was cold and terrifying.

Rong Hou didn't see any of that. Her obsession over Emperor made her believe he smiled at her kindly and stepped even further but Liu Mei's body was on her way. Her eyes became cold and as she was about to kick her away a hand grabbed her hair and dragged her out.

Soldiers entered the place and loud cried could be heard from servants outside. Liu Mei rose her head and looked at him. ''Your Highness, my servants...''

He nodded and stood up. On the door, he paused slightly. ''Be ready for tonight.'' Then he left the room.

Outside Emperor roared loudly. ''Quiet!''

Servants were silenced one by one by some cloth in the mouth while only Rong Hou sat dazedly on the floor with her hair looking like a bird nest. When she saw him she wanted to move again but one of the soldiers slapped her so hard that she went unconscious.

Emperor looked at her with wonder. ''She was unconscious just while ago. How did she wake up so fast and made such a big raid in such a short amount of time? Investigate!''

When he turned around he could see Xiao Ran standing on the door and bowing. ''Tell your mistress that I won't make a mess here, she shouldn't worry. Go inside and treat her wounds. She cut her finger on shards.'' Then he turned around and started walking.

While passing by Rong Hou's body he saw her waste accessory and stopped. ''Oh, this...''

He looked at his servant that stood there with a big smile. ''Fool. Smiling like that. Where have you been before? What if they tried to attack me?''

He searched his eyebrows and sheepishly smiled at Emperor. ''Knowing miss Liu Mei, she wouldn't let that happen. Looking at her position before, she was protecting you with her body, hasn't she?''

Emperor hushed and just walked further. ''Send her back to that place. She is just one piece of mosaic. We can't lose her now. I need to find out who actually is pushing her from the back and giving her such confidence.''

Hou Roulan came from bushes and looked at him coldly. ''Did you hurt Liu Mei?'' Her voice was dangerously low.

''He didn't. She went on her knees and cut her hand on the shard. Go inside.'' His guard shook his head as he pushed her towards the door. ''Go.''

Emperor rose his eyebrows. ''Your woman seems to be quite overprotective towards Liu Mei. Hmmm.''

He coughed. ''She is not my woman. I have no idea what is going on but she almost did something to me.'' He held his crumple clothes and crossed his arms over his c.h.e.s.t.

Emperor almost stumbled while walking. When he turned his eyes he could see that his guard really was saying such stuff not joking. ''You mean she attacked you s.e.x.u.a.lly?''

His face became red as he realized the situation he was just while ago and nodded. ''She said if I have no intention making first step then she will. Then she started grabbing my clothes and almost....'' He shook his head while thinking about the ridiculous situation.

Emperor could only roll his eyes. ''Here I am, trying to get my woman like this and he has to do nothing and woman just jumps into his arms. But he does what? Runs away? You probably run...''

His guard's face became now completely red. ''She is fast!''

Thinking bout the ridiculous race they had around palace just while ago he shook his head. ''I knew the crazy war queen was strong, but are all women in their family so vigorous? If there was no warning from the secret guard and made her stop and rush back, who knows what would have happened to me.'' Then he looked at Emperor with shiny eyes. ''You saved me. Your Highness...''

Emperor for the first time since he met this man wanted to beat him up. Rally beat him up. ''Next time. You do the other way. You get her into a corner and make her feel the same way you felt today. It could frighten her as much it did you. Maybe then she will leave you in peace.''

After thinking about it his innocent guard nodded not seeing the mischievous smile on Emperor's lips. ''Then I shall do as Emperor proposed.''

He had no idea in what kind of situation he will later stumble in...
