Liu Mei was completely captured in his strong arms. As she tried to push him away she could feel muscles under her fingers and strong frantic heartbeat.

He was as it seems clean freak as he smelled only on soap and clean clothes. No additional smells. Her face unconsciously came closer to his c.h.e.s.t and as she sniffed his heartbeat became even faster.

At that moment she looked up and saw two eyes looking at her with burning d.e.s.i.r.e. The moments of her marriage life passed in second in front of her eyes and she realized that her husband never looked at her with this expression.

Strange longing started appearing in her heart.

While she dazedly looked at him he lowered his lips and his hot breath passed her hairline, her forehead, down her nose and lips, passed even her chin and stopped on her neck.

He could feel her heartbeats going wild and her breathing becoming heavier and small smile appeared on his lips.

At first, he just hovered over her neck but then lowered his head further and planted a small kiss on her collarbone that was hidden only by thin clothing.

A small sound escaped her lips as he did that and she quickly covered her neck and mouth. With large eyes, she shyly looked at him while her face burned in shame. ''I... I...''

He gave a small laugh and looked at her with burning eyes. ''You, what?''

Liu Mei didn't know how to answer on that question and just shook her head while trying to steady her heart. The situation made her feel dazed and she didn't want that in this situation. ''Your Highness...''

''I am a man that really likes you. I prefer if you give yourself to me willingly than me forcing you.'' But the moment he said those words he almost slapped his mouth.

Visibly her face became pale and her body stiff. This time he made a huge mistake.

He shook his head while trying to explain to her but seeing she avoided his eyes he held up her face with both hands and sighed .''In this life, next lief or any life, I would never force you to do this unwillingly. I promise. I am not a monster.''

She could literally see in his eyes that he meant it what he said and relaxed a bit but still pushed him away. ''I understand but now its time to let me go.''

The moment they had, passed away by his stupid remark and he knew he messed up greatly. ''Liu Mei I...'' He tried to find words but saw her eyes becoming clear and a bit cold. ''I promise, give me one year. Just one year. ''

For a while she just stood there like a statue, thinking deeply but then nodded. ''I still will give you chance. But only one. If you ever mess up again, I won't be able to forgive you. I know that you are Emperor and you can kill all of the people I care about. But if you really do, I have no idea how I will react.'' Words are spoken from her mouth clearly meant she would never forgive him again.

''For one year I will close my eyes and ears to things you are about to do or to say. But, the moment one year pass and you still can't handle the situation, I will be gone.'' As he let her go she sat down as her legs still shook from everything that happened.

The fire in his eyes never extinguished and now even became even more pronounced. He came closer again, but this time he didn't hold her. He just neared his face towards her and greedily stared at those two small lips. ''I will not force you, but I will steal what is mine from time to time. Like now...''

Then he lowered his head and slowly pressed his warm lips on her soft ones. Smelling her own fragrance and tasting tea and something sweet he felt like a drunk person that tasted the most delicious wine ever.

He wanted more of it. As he was about to deepen his kiss a loud female cry or call could be heard from outside. ''Your Highness, help!!!''

He froze and could see on Liu mei's face astonishment written. ''It seems it started. They couldn't even wait until tomorrow to start it. How mean.'' Then he lowered his head one more time and gave a small kiss on her lips and went to sit down. ''I wonder what is next...''

But soon servants rushed in even tho Liu Mei's servants tried to stop them and started crying in front of the Emperor on their knees. ''Your Highness, we beg off you. Help us. Our mistress will die and we could do only this much.''

But all they got is silence. After banging their heads read and almost bleeding he chuckled. ''It seems my rules mean nothing. These Palace rules mean nothing. Interesting, do you people try to rebel or do you have plans to put someone else as next Emperor?'' He grabbed teapot and smashed it in front fo them.

Liu Mei scrambled on her knees and started bowing to the ground. ''Please, your Highness, quell your anger. It was my fault. I should not have given the order to my people to stop people from entering my place. Please, Your Highness. Don't be angry.'' Her voice was loud and clear, making all servants look at her in surprise.

But seeing her on the floor, kneeling in front of him with her hands and head on the floor they smirked and shook their heads. ''Young Miss lived in a forest for a long time. So you don't know what you should do. Our mistress is a magnanimous person and will forgive you for your mistake.''

Liu Mei spoke loud without rising her head so everyone could hear it. ''Thank your mistress for teaching me a new rule. Now I know that I and my people can enter any place without worry. I thought palace rules are stricter, but I guess I overreacted. From now on my door will be as wide open as anyone else door in this place, thank you for teaching me.''

She rose her head and smiled at pale looking servants. One of them gathered his witts and tried to explain. ''We didn't say you can enter any palace. Our miss...''

''Who is your miss?'' She blinked at them innocently, making them speechless.

''We belong to Rong Hou, Miss Liu. Our miss...'' But was cut off again by her words.

''I understand. Good to know. My brother is from old nobles and just Minister by his Highness side. Nobody important, so I didn't dare to be presumptuous and walk around the palace as your mistress. I guess her family is so powerful...'' Her dragging words implicated not only Rong Hou, but her whole family was also implicated as well.

They couldn't see coldness escaping the Emperor's eyes for a second, as he glanced at Liu Mei.
