My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

For Jess, the week passes by very quickly and peacefully. Other than receiving regular calls from her family asking her about her health, everything was just about her organizing her space and shopping for her office apparel.

Monday,

The alarm rang sharply at 8:00 am, Jess woke up with up a start. It was her first day at work. It was the day when the whole management of the company was supposed to go on a change. It was the day when they would get to know about their CEO. She left for work after getting ready and having a light breakfast.

She reached office at 9: 15 am, 15 mins before the assigned time. Pretty happy with the way she looked today, she moved towards the lobby to report her arrival to the receptionist. She wore a black pencil skirt paired with a light blue shirt underneath a black blazer, matching black heels. Her hairs today were hanging loose around shoulders and her face showed no visible signs of makeup other than the pink lipstick.

She was instructed to go straight to the forty-fifth floor, Mr. Cox was waiting for her and he was responsible for guiding her. She went there and found Mr. Cox heading towards her.

"Hello Mr. Cox"

"Hello Ms. Blevins"

"So let's start with the tasks today"

"Indeed" Mr. Cox handed her a tablet and continued, "Ms. Blevins our new CEO does not like to be bothered around by people a lot so this is your tablet. You will work here and it is connected to the boss's tablet. He will be access everything from here and you will get all the instructions here. Here is your workspace and your personal computer. It has already been linked to the tablet and you will be work on both the devices without any possible interruptions. Boss will enter the office and take over in five mins from now"

After getting everything in place, She understood one thing very clearly- her boss hated socializing with people, hmm not bad at least now she would not have to worry about anything. All she had to do was complete her assigned task nothing else, easy task right? That is what she had thought but would it come true.

Exactly after five mins the door of the elevator opened and emerged a tall handsome man, dressed in a crisp deep royal blue suit, John exuded a very strong and intimidating aura. Behind him, the top executives, vice-presidents, and managers of the various departments were following. He stopped before Mr. Cox and nodded in response to his greeting. As he was about to turn around and enter his office his gaze fell on Jess. In a questioning manner, he raised his eyebrows. Clearly understanding his actions, Jess came forward and introduced herself, "Good morning sir, I am Jessica Blevins and am your secretary and planning manager"

John had a blank expression on his face but on the inside, he was very happy, he had to indeed thank his grandfather for finding her. He entered his office and she immediately received the first set of tasks on her work tablet. Seeing her beginning to work, he quietly left to report the current situation here at the company to the chairman.
