My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Rose was waiting outside Jess's villa.

"Uh-huh"

"Thanks."

"Yepp. I got the new timetable with the changes."

Jess was wearing a pair of skinny fit black jeans, Skin colored light woolen top with boots of the same shade.

Jess called out to Rose when she ended the call.

"You are being so busy, is everything all right?"

"Yeah. Everything is okay. I just rescheduled my flights a bit so that we can spend some time together. As you can see, I set aside my precious time to go out with you, You should feel honored."

"Yes, I am honored to shop with Miss Baker. Without further ado let us go"

They took the yellow Mercedez Benz AMG and went towards their first spot, North City Mall.

North City Mall was recently opened and had many outlets from top fashion brands.

They reached the place in no time and entered the mall.

"Hmm. Not bad. The place is really as big as the rumors said." Rose's eyes were sparkling seeing so many fashion brands in one place. Even though she traveled a lot and visited many places, she had never such a huge collaboration at a mall before.

"Yeah. Let's buy you some stuff."

"Excuse me, ma'am. Please show us your identity card." They were stopped by the security guards at the gate.

Jess was shocked. This was the first time someone was stopped from entering the mall without any reason.

Rose: "Why do you need to check our ID cards? You did not ask her for one" She pointed towards a group of girls who entered.

Guard: "Maam please do not make it difficult for us. We just want to check your ID cards."

Jess heard a few other guards whispering to each other. "Who knows who they are? Look the way they are dressed. How can they even afford to buy anything from here."

She could not believe what she heard. On looking around she realized that they were the only ones there who were dressed in simple clothing and all others visiting the place were overly dressed and wore expensive clothes to show their wealth.

No wonder the guards here thought that they didn't belong to a place like this.

Jess pulled Rose to side, "Let us just show them the card and enjoy ourselves here. We should not waste our time here."

"What do you mean by not waste our time?" Rose turned to guard and continued, "She should respect the guests visiting the place and not discriminate them based on appearances. I am going to write about this on the forum. Then we will see, who wants to visit a place like this."

Rose pulled Jess and was about to leave the place when they heard someone speaking.

"What is going on here?"

The girls turned around to see the newcomer. Dressed in a white suit, was a man with eyes and sharp facial features. As soon as his voice rang around the place, the guards were stiffened. One of them hurried to explain the matter.

"Sir, they look a little suspicious. For the safety of the guests visiting the place, I asked them to show their ID cards but they are not cooperative about it and are creating a fuss about it."

"I see."

He walks towards the girls and stopped before them. He signaled to his secretary and he soon arrived.

"Fire the personnel here and ask them to apologize to the guests here. Let them know to not judge anyone based on their appearances. Anyone visiting the mall is our guests and I don't want a repetition of such a mistake." He bowed his head a little toward the girls, "I apologize that you had to experience this at my mall. I will give you a special discount for all the shops here. I hope this matter can be left aside."

"Okay. We will not post anything on the forum." Rose spoke up from behind.

He smiled ever so little. "Thank so much ladies for your understanding. How about I assign someone to assist you."

"No thank you. We are good." Jess immediately stopped Rose from speaking and rejected his offer.

Jess continued to recount the details of the day to John.

"Rose seemed a little interested in him, she asked him about himself and his post, all he said then was that he was the manager of the mall and no one of importance. We believed him. Who thought that he could do such things because he himself was the owner of the mall."

She noticed that his mood had turned a little sour. Seeing that he was quietly listening to whatever she was saying, Jess continued.

"You do not know how all other ladies envied us when they saw that such a good looking guy was accompanying us to a few places and he even helped us..."

Jess could not speak any further as a hot kiss landed on her lips all of a sudden and prevented her from speaking further.

John could not take it anymore.

Yes, he was jealous. He didn't want to hear Jess praise someone else. He closed the distance between them and kissed her. As he had caught her off guard, he easily pushed her back. He supported himself by placing his left hand at the backrest of the chair and placed his other hand on her face. The initial light peck turned into a passionate kiss. They only separated when they were both out of air.

Jess pushed him back a little. "Heyy what are you doing? We agreed to stay professional in the office. You are violating the rules." She smiled internally as her plan had worked out, but she didn't expect this outcome.

John spoke in a very low voice, "Looks like I need to remind you who is your husband dear wife. You were speaking highly of other men in front of me."

Jess started laughing out loud. "Mr. Paker, I need to remind you that it was you wanted to know about it." She shrugged and continued, "I fulfilled your wishes by talking about that day."

She stood up and straightened her clothes. "If there is nothing else then I will finalize the proposal on the campaign which was decided in the meeting today."

"Hmm okay. You may leave Ms. Blevins."

John and Jess would usually go home and prepare dinner. The cook would prepare the ingredients for the dishes and all they had to was combine them. John liked to cook the food himself so they followed this arrangement. It also served as a bonding time spent together. Jess didn't mind cooking with him and enjoyed it.

Today, as usual, they entered the villa together but to Jess, something felt a miss.

"John, I feel something is off about the place today." She turned around to find that he was no more beside him.

'Where did he go now?'

Suddenly a spotlight fell on her...
