My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Early in the morning, two eager souls woke up and started getting ready for the day. Both of them had a spring in their step.

Jess looked in the mirror.

"I don't want to put on makeup. Let's go simple today."

She put on the moisturizer on her face and applied a peachy shade of lip tint.

'Smack'

Done!

Jess looked her reflection on the mirror once again and once satisfied with her natural look walked towards the door.

She checked the time and saw that it was time. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and went downstairs.

John had just reached and was waiting for her below her condo.

Is she ready yet?

Should I call her?

Ladies take more time.

I will call her later.

As he was fighting an inner battle with his thoughts, from the corner of his eyes he saw someone coming. He looked up but could not look away.

Jess was walking towards him. She was wearing a boat necked, sleeveless white top with black short skirt style pants. She had half of her hair tied in a top ponytail. She looked beautiful.

Jess went with this look because she had no clue where they were going. She didn't want to wear a dress and skip out on the fun. So the best alternative was this outfit. She dislikes extravagant looks and prefers a simple look.

She was looking for a cell phone in her small tan colored sling bag. She noticed that she reached the end of the steps. She stopped and took her cellphone out to make a call.

When she looked up, she saw a dashing man leaning on the side of his car and was looking at her with a smile. Jess was seeing him in casuals for the first time. He looked dashing in those dark blue pair of jeans paired with a white t-shirt and a very light grey slim suit jacket.

When their eyes met, Jess slightly blushed and smiled. She slowly walked to him.

"You look beautiful" John blurted out as soon as she was in front.

Jess was already red, now could not help but bit her lips.

"Hmm... thanks." She could not look him in eyes again.

John felt that she was very cute. He liked that she was blushing just with his one compliment. His efforts paid off well.

"Did I keep you waiting for long?" After calming down her racing heart, she asked him.

"Not at all. I just arrived. Let's keep going then."

They were on their way to their first location. They had pancakes with maple syrup and fresh berries.

Delicious!

Pancake is John's favourite.

After an hour long drive, John stopped the car in front of an Aquarium. As they went inside, Jess's eyes were wide with surprise. They entered a glass tunnel and fishes swam all around the tunnel. She touched the wall of the tunnel. This section of the aquarium was a home of varieties of colourful fishes. A kite fish swam over her head. She was in awe.

"It is so beautiful. Thank you for bringing me here, I have never been here before."

John was happy that she liked the place. Going to an amus.e.m.e.nt park was very common for a date, he wanted to take somewhere else. He thought this place would be the best for their date.

They enjoyed learning facts about various species and took many pictures together.

His favourite photograph of Jess was the one where she kissed a dolphin when they watched the show.

Jess bought some fish and dolphin plush toys. By the time they left the place, it was already time for dinner. He took her to a very famous French restaurant. They enjoyed the meal.

For the last location for the day, he took her to a hillside. The night sky today looked very beautiful. The hill overlooked the city light up and the sky light up with stars and moon.

"Wow. I didn't know that such a place was here. How did you find this place?" Jess was holding the railing and asked him.

John spoke from behind her, "I found this place when I was out on a trip with my friends."

He slowly went near Jess and hugged her from behind. He softly whispered in her ears, "You like this place?"

Jess was surprised by the sudden hug. It was strange that she liked it. When his soft voice reached her ears, her cheeks were burning red.

"Y-yes." She barely managed to speak.
