Lyricist: Her Revenge

The music launch ceremony ended without any problems. It was followed by a banquet for the singers & the lead actor & actress. Alice was no exception. Jessica, very shamelessly, appeared for the banquet, on behalf of Zach. Why? Because, she too, had no idea where Zach was. After the banquet, when she went to the washroom, she was stopped by Alice who feigned mock concern in her voice, "Sis, where is Zach? I didn't see him today."

"..."

"Sis, is everything alright? Did something happen to him?"

This time, too, Jessica kept her silence. But Alice smirked, "Or did his Plan B failed like his Plan A did?"

Jessica raised her head in alarm, "What...What are you...talking about?"

Alice turned her back to her, "Sis knows that better than me."

Alice moved behind her & placed a hand on her shoulder & sneered coldly, "Isn't it?"

Jessica shuddered at her words. Anyone who saw them would think that they were friends & were having some intimate conversations. Alice laughed coldly once before she left the room. Jessica stood rooted in her spot.

Alice left the room & texted Daniel, "Come pick me up!"

"Okay!", came the reply, "Meet me at the bas.e.m.e.nt."

"Okay!"

Alice quickly excused herself in everyone's watchful presence & made her way to the bas.e.m.e.nt. Unbeknownst to her, someone followed behind her.

15 minutes later

Alice quickly climbed into the car that stopped in front of her. Today, Amy didn't accompany her because she had some important work to do. That's why Alice texted Daniel to pick her up instead. As the car drove into the road, Daniel asked, "What was the case with the NGO?"

"Nothing", Alice shrugged, "It's been solved."

"Hmm", Daniel nodded seriously.

The next moment, Alice drifted into deep thought. Daniel noticed her for a while before asking, "What are you thinking about?"

"Jenny."

"Jenny?" Daniel darted her a confused look.

Alice briefly narrated how she noticed Jenny at the hotel as a waitress & how Amy was sent away to the washroom & she was sent to the balcony.

She said, "No one comes with juice on a tray in the lobby. It's not that people seat in the balcony for eating. I didn't notice any seating for food. The things were only the bamboo benches here & there."

"Are you sure it was Jenny?" Daniel asked.

"Umm...I'm sure", she nodded, "It's just that I left abruptly before they could execute whatever their so-called plan was."

He nodded in seriousness. Anything concerning her would make him worry.

Suddenly, Alice looked out of the car window & her eyes became sharp. Then, she turned to Daniel, "Drive into the construction site."

Daniel frowned before making a swift turn.

Shopping Mall

Catherine wheeled the groceries to the counter & breathed a sigh of relief. Her forehead was dripped in sweat & her oval face was threateningly pale. She had just finished her shooting for the secondary role in the movie 'A Day in Spring'. There she played the Male lead's sister. Since she left her house, in hopes of joining the film industry, she had no one to take care of in her little apartment. The apartment was provided by the company & it was quite cozy.

So, in short, she had no one to help her with the groceries. She thought it was better to stock up some groceries before the promotional tours began. Even though it meant dragging her tired body.

When her turn came, she quickly paid the bills & left. Her apartment was quite close to the mall. So, she decided to walk there. These days, her period cramps were becoming worse and worse. She clutched her stomach tightly while her face kept twitching. Her little body was crumpled & bent as she moved forward.

Just then, she bumped into someone. She quickly said 'Sorry' & continued walking.

When she was about to reach the lamppost, her head swayed gently, & she immediately supported herself by the wall.

"Hey!" a voice was raised behind her, "Are you okay?"

"Yes!" Cath spoke with clenched teeth.

But as she began to walk, she swayed again & almost lost her footing, but a pair of slender yet strong arms immediately caught her. She darted a glance to the face above her before her head dropped & her consciousness faded.
