Lumina Church: From An Assassin To A Nun

A few hours ago, East Variesz city, Duke Rothenmas noble estate.

"This is the mansion..."

A black-clothed girl mutter as she passes Duke Rothenmas mansion. The girl has long black hair and dark black eyes that will make people feel like staring into the darkness when they saw her eyes. The girl is Villia, who is now working on a quest and disguise herself as A-ranked Adventurer Enmi the Corrupt Killer.

Villia scout the perimeters around Duke Rothenmas mansions and infiltrate the places without any problems. Guards keep patrolling around the mansion, even so, one look at them will show that none of them is seriously patrolling, mainly because they know that no one is stupid enough to infiltrate the noble mansion, especially in broad daylight.

"Such low security…"

Villia sigh when she saw their state. No sign of vigilance, having fun on the job, slacking off, no motivation, all of these problems are making Villia who infiltrate the mansion feels a headache.

"Sigh…just my luck…I don't think I can get a lot of experience from them…" Villia let out a sigh after seeing all of the guards she passed are slacking off.

For other assassins, having guards with low vigilance is always appreciated and it's also one of the targets loved by assassins. Even so, for her… target that has low vigilance can only give a small amount of experience!

She will get a lot of experience if she successfully assassinates someone with high vigilance, even so, killing someone with low vigilance like these guys may not even give her 0.1 experience points, that's why the foe Villia hated the most is weakling who can't do anything!

Villia got the impulse to shout at them to make them raise their vigilance in the face of unknown enemy, even so, she gives up this plan as soon as it appears, because something can go wrong incredibly wrong if she did that, and it's also because doing that kind of things isn't worth the trouble.

'Work plan, sins, family.'

Villia looks at one of these guards and looks at his status.

Looking at work plan is to look for a possible spy of the Duke and looking at their patrolling plan; looking at their sins is done to clear her conscience when she starts killing them and looking at their family list would let Villia know whether someone will be sad if he/she's gone from this world, sometimes it's done to give their family (who has been suffering because of them) some of her pocket money.

Looking at these statuses every time she infiltrates is like second nature to Villia. Killing those with sins related to the target she wants to kill, and knocking out the guard who only come here without doing anything wrong while working.

If Villia's just an assassin like before, none of that will matter as she will kill everyone, but she's not just an assassin now, she's now a nun who just worked part-time as an assassin! Father Lichenmi has taught her a lot of things, and this is one of it. This is her justice!

Justice is what we think is right and not what others think is right. We didn't need to accept others sense of justice; even so, we can try to learn it from them until we reach an understanding with them. That's also why Villia wouldn't blindly do something when she can see it clearly!

Villia let out a smile after she saw the guard work plan. The guard will change shift in two hours from now, which means she would need to finish her assignment inside the mansion or kill everyone outside if she decides to kill or knock off these guards within two hours.

'Assassinate target first or killing all of these guards first? Isn't the answer obvious? I'm not only here to complete my quest! I'm here to gain experience!'

"That leaves me one option."

Smirking, Villia looks a guard team which consist of four people not far from her talking and laughing with each other. Hearing the topic conversation alone is enough to let Villia know that they will die soon. Even so, Villia still activates her skill to confirm it, and one look from her will decide their fates.

"As expected of Duke Rothenmas guards…all of them are rotten to the core." Villia mutter as she coldly looks at their status.

Name: Garth; Dane; Holst; Cavez

Sins: R*pe.

They're four different people, yet all of them has the same major crimes which are r*pe.

Villia's sure that they also have the crimes of killing people. Even so, killing is typical in this day and age. Who never kill even one creature in this world anyway? Even a saint can accidentally kill an insect when she walks and accidentally kills someone with her words, more so ordinary people like them who aren't a saint.

But, r*pe is different.

For Villia, these particular crimes require the harshest punishment of all the evils that exist in this world, and it's also a crime that will make Villia shed a lot of blood once she saw it.

Although she had known that they would have this particular sins when she heard their conversation, one of her past experiences tell her that it might be fake as she has met with one guy who she spares because he never r*pes and only talks about it with other people to show that he's not a v.i.r.g.i.n.

It's also why Villia wouldn't jump into conclusion without further checks, but once she confirms it…hehe, only hell awaits for the offenders!

"But still, I hope Duke Rothenmas stop punching his women…although we get to enjoy them at night, doing it with a girl who has turned into a bloody pig is not fun after all. He's truly one twisted bastard."

"Shh…don't say anything bad about the duke! Do you want to get killed! You should know that the duke has assassins' teams protecting him... if they hear what you say."

"Hahaha you jest, that's impos-"

The four guards talk with each other with an easy going atmosphere. One of the guards named Dane even boldly bad-talk about the duke he serves, while his leader Cavez persuaded him to not talk about it which Dane ignore of course.

But, before he can continue to bad-talk the duke, a slit appeared on Dane's neck. Dane's feeling pains, he wants to scream because of it, yet no voices come out from his throat.

His friends didn't notice anything about what's happening to Dane keeps walking, leaving Dane who has long turned into a corpse.

"As I said, don't bad-talk the duke, or we wouldn't even know how we die."

"Yep, we only need to lick that pig boots, and we get some fun at night, isn't this a good job worth celebrating?"

"Heh, pig, true that. He's one hell lucky pig!"

"Holst, stop bad-talk the duke by calling him a pig."

"You say that like you have never called him pig before Garth."

"Precisely."

The guards laugh with each other, unaware that Dane who walks behind them has gone. They stop laughing soon after, and that's also the time where Holst and Garth who stands in the middle meet their ends at the same times with slit on the throat. Just like what happened to Dan earlier.

"Still Dane, you have gone quiet all of a sudden. Are you too scared to talk now?"

Cavez walks and laughs at the same times, yet there's an uneasy feeling that tells him something's weird…his friends are never the type to stay quiet like this…He also can't hear their footsteps anymore…all exist now is eerie silent around him. Where's Dane, Holst, and Garth? Are they trying to scare an old man like him?

"Hey, what's with the quietness guys?"

Cavez turns around, and as expected, there are no one behinds him.

"Dane…? Holst…? Garth…? Don't play this game with me. We need to do our job ok…?"

Cavez tries to call out his friends to calm his nerves. He keeps calling, and soon, three shadows can be seen approaching him and make him who feels fear before calmed down.

"Don't try to play a game like this! We're still working now." No replies come from the three shadows who approach him.

"Don't play games an-"

Cavez walk forward to greet them, but, seeing his friends again, Cavez starts to tremble. The three shadows are indeed his friends, even so, one look is all it needs for Cavez to know that they've already died.

They're dead, yet all of them are walking as if they're alive make Cavez wants to run, no…he needs to run! Cavez turns around as fast as he can, but a black-clothed girl has appeared behind him without him realizing it.

"Took me long enough...it seems that I need a lot more practice to use this spell."

"W-who ar--"

Cavez wants to learn who she is, but before he can say anything, his throat like his friends got sliced by the black-clothed girls.

'Eight Shadows…'

It's the only things that exist in Cavez minds when he meets his end.

Eight Shadow — it's Duke Rothenmas personal assassins, trained by him in every way he can and will do anything for the duke, even suicide.

Cavez starts to regret after he realizes who she is. He regrets that he can't control his subordinates well because they're friends first before they're leader and subordinates.

He wants to ask for forgiveness and ask her to spare him, but it seems that he can only face his ends here as his minds have turned empty in a moment.

「Pure Smog」

Smog start to appear, and with one command from her, all of these smogs entered Cavez body without any problems.

Pure Smog, it's a spell usually used by the user to let white-like smog entered one body to clear themselves from impurities and turned into black smog according to the degrees of impurities.

Even so, the spell has long changed its function in Villia hands (mainly because there are no people for her to treat) and transforms into the spell that controls the body of a dead people.

All she needs is to order particular smog inside the corpse and do some set action to control the body. Although this method can't control the living, controlling the death is enough for her.

"Walk over there and then turn over there, and then circle that part. Then…"

Villia gives the smog order, and soon, the smog undead starts to move weirdly while continue walking the patrol path.

"Next."

Villia goes away from her current location and goes to every place that has guard teams like them. Death keeps happening around Duke Rothenmas, even so, none realize anything occurred as they have seen the guard patrolling diligently from afar.

Out of all the guards patrolling outside, three are spared by Villia because they're just a newcomer who has only comes to work today and tied in a rope while the others are killed mercilessly by her.

Although it seems that it took a long time, in truth, all of it only last for 40 minutes.

Killing all of them give her 9 experience in total, which means she would need 17 more experience to get promoted! With that in mind, Villia quietly infiltrates Duke Rothenmas mansion with no one the wiser.
