Loving A Triple Threat

Chapter 30 - Cloned

It was dinner time, and by the time Gi arrived at the café she only had thirty minutes before her first evening class.

She sat with a boy. It was the one that betrayed her at the infamous party. Ren was his name. And Sena did not like him. Did not like him in the least.

"You got the clone ready?" he asked his short companion.

The kid nodded obediently.

"Stuff this up, and you will never work for us again. You got that?" Sena threatened the boy who looked to be thirteen.

"Yes Sir," he said politely. Although they were essentially criminals, thugs and gangsters, Prime insisted on respect up to the chain of command. It kept everyone in line.

"Good kid, you'll go far. Respect and do your job, you can't go wrong with that," Sena mentored his junior.

Although he had only been in Prime for a month, he had earned the mark as a trusted member. Albeit at the bottom, but at least the old man trusted him to run jobs and do his own thing. As long as he brought in his quota.

Sena always smashed his quota. So it was rare he was ordered to help others on their jobs, he was always running his own scams using the assets that prime provided.

Like fast cloners.

"Okay," Sena said as Gi left. "She's out of sight. As soon as he leaves we sandwich him. You trip in front of him, and I'll grab his phone from behind. I'll palm to you, you clone from the ground, and hand it back to me when you're done. Got it?"

The kid nodded. It sounded a lot more complicated than it really was. The kid only had to do two things.

"Trip and clone, that's all you have to do," Sena said one last time before pushing the kid who ran in front of Ren.

Sena was watching his phone the entire time, and as typical of Daeil students, he kept the phone in his hand the entire time. Reading and sending texts.

The kid did a good job running in front of Ren and falling over. Sena pushed him in the back almost immediately and into the kid. Ren didn't even notice that he let go of his phone. He was touched in three places, and his brain didn't register the grab.

"Hey!" Sena pushed Ren away from the kid who was now cloning his phone. His tattoo was visible, and it was enough to scare Gi's wannabe boyfriend.

"Don't stop in front of me when I'm walking. Pfft," Sena said pushing Ren again to keep his mind off the phone.

"Listen, I didn't mean anything by it. That kid just …"

Sena stopped Ren looking past him at the kid, he grabbed his face and pointed it back towards him. "Listen, pretty boy, that kid is my cousin, and he's handicapped. So I don't appreciate you staring at him. It's f.u.c.k.i.n.g rude."

"I'm sorry," Ren said sounding very sorry.

Sena had to laugh that he was talking about walking one second and all of a sudden the kid was his relative and Ren didn't question a thing because he delivered a convincingly menacing performance.

He looked at Ren seriously, his real malice showing. He could act every bit as good as Ren, but because of the circ.u.mstances of his life, he was a criminal who had no chance with Gi, and this shit was her boyfriend.

The phone landed in Sena's hand. The kid had done a great job. As long as the clone took, it was a perfect operation.

Sena dropped the phone at his foot and kicked it immediately towards Ren so he wouldn't notice the drop. Hopefully, it would break the screen. It wouldn't affect the close because it was based on the sim card and not the phone itself.

If the screen was cracked, it would just make Sena happy.

"Is this yours? Did you drop it? Bah, idiot. Just go," Sena said taking the boys hand. "Come on special. Don't run off again."

The kid was upset at being called special and handicapped.

"Get over it," Sena said as Ren took off at high speed looking distressfully at his phone.

"It's all part of the game kid. It's a play, and we're the actors. Got it?"

"Sure… can't I be a hero next time instead of a special handicapped since it's a play?"

"No, ya f.u.c.k.i.n.g idiot. I had to be mad at him from bumping into you, so the best way to do that is to have him feel bad about it cos you being special… bah, …why am I explaining this to you? Just do what you're told and shut the f.u.c.k up." Sena scolded the kid who just did a great job.

"Give me the clone," he asked holding out his hand. "I just paid you through the app, so check you got it."

The kid checked, smiled, nodded and ran off. The street urchins worked until they were paid and left as soon as the payment hit their T-Money account.

Sena inspected the phone while walking down the street, it was syncing, downloading all the messages and apps that Ren had on his phone.

He scrolled through each of the recent while walking, not really looking where he was going. He stopped and leaned against the wall, digging deep.

Finally, he looked up into the sky, "Damn," he breathed. Ren wasn't playing her. All his messages were to other guys or were plutonic. And he constantly gushed about Gi.

The way Ren felt about her was just like Sena.

"I really wanted to catch you out," Sena talked to himself and put the clone of Ren's phone in his pocket.

He walked down the lane, climbed a drain pipe and crawled into a deserted building on the second floor.

Arrayed on the floor were twenty sets of white overalls.

"How goes it, Dong-Moon?" Sena asked the boss of the school gang.

"Pfft, you did a job for me five weeks ago, and now you're my boss. Where is justice?" Dong-Moon asked.

"You're a criminal, who hates cops and you're asking me about justice?" Sena queried.

"I'm not a crim, I'm an entree pronure," Dong-Meng bastardized the word.

"You're a thug, who will follow the plan, if you want to get paid," Sena stated calmly.

Dong-Meng didn't like it but he nodded, "How did you work this job out? It's crazy."

"Crazy?" Sena queried.

"Crazy, but good. Is the money good as you say? Guaranteed?" asked Dong-Meng.

"Nothing is guaranteed, you know this being a professional," stated Sena. Manipulating Dong-Meng was child's play, he was desperate for recognition even from Sena.

Dong-Meng nodded as if he was acknowledging a professional knew nothing was guaranteed.

Sena inspected the hacker app, and then looked up to Dong-Meng, "Does the tail know to stay out of sight, and who is Jeng?" Sena asked.

"Jeng is smart," Dong-Meng replied while checking the same app, "Not as smart as you but he's the best I got."

"Get everyone ready, they will be here within the hour," Sena ordered.

Dong-Meng nodded.

Joon looked at the time, he was running late. He turned to his bodyguard, a tall off duty policeman, "We need to scoot I'll be late for a meeting at the main residence."

The guard nodded and began to jog toward's Joon's car. Joon followed close behind.

The guard stopped suddenly and put a single hand back towards Joon as if in warning.

"What? We're running late? I can't be slowed down by your paranoia," Joon stated harshly.

"Do you know this guy?" the guard asked.

Joon looked past him and gasped in surprise. There standing in the laneway was Zero. It gave him nightmares, and now it was a reality again.

"It's Zero," he said fearfully. It was creepy as hell.

"Who's Zero? A friend of yours?" The guard asked.

"How f.u.c.k.i.n.g dumb are you? You don't know who Zero is?"

"I'm not a servant kid, I don't care how rich you are, you show respect to your elders, or I teach you a lesson," the guard retorted.

Joon looked behind, he must have sensed something, "F.u.c.k," he said.

The guard turned around. It was another Zero. White overalls with a hoodie, red, white and black mask and white shoes. He had a big zero on his c.h.e.s.t, just like the first.

The guard was about to get on his phone when they ran off.

"Don't let him get away," Joon shouted. "Teach these brats for trying to scare us. Let's get one of them at least."

"Sir, I don't think that's wise. We don't know how many there are," the guard replied.

"Two!" exclaimed Joon. "Two!"

"Towards the car," the guard said and began to run as they had before. "It's on school property and much safer than in the alleyways."

As soon as they turned the corner they saw the first Zero up an alley to the left. He was on the ground. It looked like he tripped over a trash can which was tipped over.

"Get him," Joon ordered.

The guard made for the Zero, and as soon as he reached the culprit, another appeared.

And another, and another, and another. Until they were surrounded in the alley. Twenty Zero's blocked off their escape route. And it was a dead end.

They were tricked and trapped by Zero and his nineteen friends.
