Loving A Triple Threat

Chapter 11 - The Invitation 3

Ren waited for Gi to finish her acting class. He was permitted on campus, but Teachers did not take kindly to boys interrupting classes, unless of course, they were accompanied by a famous actor.

Which brought him to check on her rap, it was gaining views on Instagram, more when he tweeted it, and even more when his brother kindly retweeted, adding. 'Look at what I saw! Amazing YG trainee.'

Before his brother's tweet, it had ten thousand views, but after it was well past three hundred thousand and climbing. Ren quickly checked Gi's Instagram and Twitter accounts and found she had posted nothing to capitalise. She had gained a few followers, but he wondered how many people checked her profile and then didn't follow because there was no new content in the last month.

If he looked as good as Gi, he would update photos weekly at least. Her curves were perfection, as the wise man would say, not too much and not too little. Her hair always looked neat or elegant. And her face, she had a face for a magazine cover, except they barely existed anymore. He wasn't an expert, but he found her high cheekbones extremely attractive, and her eyes were pure, clear and … well, he was easily lost in her eyes. They were such a deep brown they were almost black, but then, when in the sun he could see the browns shimmering.

Who thought brown could be s.e.xy?

That gave him two things to talk to her about. She had ignored his texts, so he had turned up in person.

Ms Ling poked her head out the classroom door, at first she was scowling at him until she recognized him. "Ren, Ren! Come in. You can always interrupt my acting class, at least while we are working on the play."

He smiled. Ms Ling was not like other Teachers at the girls YG Academy. She was actually nice.

Gi, Suzie and Misha were busy working on their lines and delivery. These three didn't seem to be best friends, but they were always together in a professional sense. Ren speculated that girls had it much harder than boys. Sure, boys got jealous of each other, but girls could be downright Machiavellian.

"Ren!" Gi said in surprise. She smiled at him. Ren could have fainted right there, so he decided to grab his heart and pretend to be shot by a love arrow. It was play-acting, but with the kernel of truth. The girls lapped it up for the ham that it was, breaking down into laughter, including Gi.

He beamed at her, even her laughter sent shivers down his spine. It suddenly occurred to him that seeing her laugh made him incredibly happy and that was a new sensation.

Sure, if he was funny and people laughed that was satisfying, but it was not the same feeling as this. It was like comparing riding a bike to driving a Lambo.

"We have to talk," he said.

Gi looked at Ms Ling, who nodded.

She immediately skipped towards him, several parts of her jiggled in a way that made his blood boil. Down boy, he thought to himself then another realisation hit him. She had no idea what boys thought, she was totally unaware that bouncing like that was disastrous for his libido and its effect on his manhood.

He grabbed her hand and turned away to pull her out into the corridor. He didn't want her rivals listening to anything they discussed, including social media.

"Why aren't you returning my texts?" He asked his first and most concerning topic. Most were unread.

She held up the now notorious blue and white invitation.

He began to apologise, but Gi was faster.

"Now, don't fret," she began, "I do want to go despite the male chauvinist method of choosing attendees. And if it was just a party, I would say no way, but the bribe of Blackpink and Treasure Box is just too much. I guess I have a price for my pride." She sulked the last sentence out.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I feel the same I really do," Ren said, in truth, it never occurred to him it was s.e.xist. He thought it was a bit of fun and was happy he and Gi would have no problems getting in at all.

She peered at him sceptically.

Ren performed his best contrite body language, lowering and saddening his eyes, pushing his bottom lip out slightly.

She raised her hands, "I can't tell if you are an excellent actor or are really sorry!" She said in resignation.

He smiled shyly, it was a hard choice what to say, he liked being flattered for his acting just as much as he wanted to appear s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e. "It's a bit of both, to be honest. I am sorry, and I was hamming it up."

"You," she said pushing him playfully. Ren thought it would be nice if she kept touching him.

"And Ren, I know you put dozens of these in my locker!"

"Printing isn't expensive," he said, "And I knew you would get so many, so I wanted to ensure mine were easy to find. I was being thoughtful, honest." He pursed his lips again and was rewarded with another push.

"And that is why I was ignoring your texts," She admitted. "If you want me to go, you can at least come and invite me properly."

"Oh!" He said brightly, "Do you want professional photographs? Not just for this, but for your Instagram and portfolio as well?"

She squinched her eyes, looking sceptical again, "With your brother?" She cupped her hand in a semi-closed fist and motioned it back and forth.

"Not that brother!" He exclaimed trying not to roll around on the floor in laughter. "I do have one who is a professional photographer, I wasn't making it up."

"I'll think about it," she replied, holding back. "I'm busy, and I don't want to reward this competition with a model photo shoot. Actually. No. I'm not doing it. I'll send them a sweaty pic after dance practice with no makeup."

Ren was shocked, he waved his hands in surrender and to calm her down, "No! You have to get a score of eight, and I won't send an invitation to anyone else. So neither of us will go."

She looked serious, "Too bad." She stated flatly.

Ren cried into his hands, but he soon got over as she put a hand on his shoulder in consolation, "It's ok. If we don't qualify for their chauvinistic party, we will go on a date, just you and me."

He raised his head and looked at her, "You know, I really didn't realise how bad this was until I thought of it from your point of view. You girls should do one where you judge the boys."

She laughed, "Like we would be so stupid."

He laughed as well, "Yeah, girls aren't the same."

He suddenly changed the topic to social media as it popped into his head, "Oh, Gi, but you need to capitalise on your rap video, it's blowing up, and there is nothing new on your Twitter or Instagram. You're losing potential followers!"

She thought through his advice before replying, "You do know how hard we train?"

He nodded, boys had it easier than girls in this as well. And he had family connections in acting he got off doing very little except drama after regular classes. His future was not assured, but it wasn't uncertain either.

"Followers means its easier to get into a group, to get a debut, its part of it." He said earnestly, it was the same for him and acting.

"I know, I know," she replied in surrender. "Ok. I'll work on it."

"Anything else?" She asked, not impatiently but she looked like she was ready to run back to begin work again.

"Just one thing," he said leaning closer.

"Yes?" She asked cluelessly.

He took a small step closing the distance between them, "You know the scene on page forty-two?"

Her eyes looked up to the ceiling as her mind tried to recall which scene he was referring to.

He moved extremely slowly as if she was a wild animal that he didn't want to scare and he breathed, "If anyone sees, we are practising the scene on page forty-two. Eadi Bear, I love you." He said the moment before his lips touched hers.

She barely noticed him close the distance and the kiss was a surprise, but she did not resist, it was not an unwelcome surprise. Gi liked Ren, she had decided she would officially date him as a girlfriend, she just hadn't told him yet.

He was timid at first, waiting for her to push him off, but when she didn't, he became bolder, wrapping his arms slowly, on either side of her c.h.e.s.t they slid around onto her back as he pulled her closer.

They maintained soft surface lip contact as was proper for an acting scene, although it was a western play it could be argued that a more romantic kiss was warranted. She was caught in a dream between practising a kiss and a real kiss. She felt his c.h.e.s.t push against hers, as both his hands reached their limit behind her back. She slid hers over both his shoulders and hung them loosely behind his neck and head.

Ren pulled back, creating a small space. "I really do." He said so softly and sweetly before kissing her again.

She could feel his legs, h.i.p.s, and c.h.e.s.t, they were interlocked like a real couple.

Just as she felt his tongue touch her lips and she opened her mouth to welcome him in, they were disturbed.

"Ahum," Ms Ling said loudly and then she did it again as they struggled to stop. It felt so good they felt like ignoring her. "Ahum," the sound became extremely threatening. Ms Ling would grab her and pull them apart at any moment.

"Sorry Ms," Gi said, "Page forty-two. Page Forty-two." As she broke from Ren reluctantly.

"What's your next line?" Ms Ling asked.

Gi looked lost, and Ms Ling smiled, it was not one which reached her eyes. She was merely bearing her teeth.

"Mr Ren Buyn," Ms Ling said formally, "I will definitely be chaperoning the after party now, and you will not practice any of the intimate scenes without my presence do you hear?"

Ren bowed deeply, after extracting himself from Gi gently, "Yes Ms Ling. It was all my fault Ms Ling, please don't punish Gi."

Ms Ling pointed at Ren, "Young man, I am well aware of how these things work." She said sternly before turning on her heel and re-entering the class.

"Later," Ren said sadly he did not want to anger Ms Ling further especially since she could change their roles, and lives, with a single word to his drama teacher. He touched Gi's hand softly as he fled.

Gi watched him depart sadly. If kissing was a contest, Ren was the winner.
