Love To Hate Me

At the CEO's Office.

"What happened?" Daniel exclaimed, still panting as he rushed into Ryan's office, as soon as he received the news about his best friend getting married.

Ryan frowned and stared at him blankly.

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be busy managing your company? If your dad found out, you were loitering around in the middle of the day instead of working, he sure won't be too happy." Ryan nonchalantly spoke.

Daniel took a seat on the couch and took a while to calm his breathing after running back to the office.

"Ah just forget about that old geezer. What's the worst he is going to do freeze my card? Then let him be my guest. Anyways, forget about that! Why didn't you tell me that you were getting married?!" Daniel shouted, abruptly standing back up.

But that was a bad mistake!

For a second there, Ryan had forgotten about what had happened, but Daniel's question reignited the flames inside of him.

Daniel pressed his lips together, and raised his eyebrows when he saw his friend stare at him with his sharp gaze.

Ryan's face was dark as his eyes glinted a dangerous and eerie glimmer, causing the temperature in the room to drop significantly.

Assistant Yoon gulped and wanted to leave the room so badly, not wanting to get caught in another crossfire. But just as he was about to leave, his boss prevented him from doing so.

Since he was in no mood for storytelling, Ryan commanded his assistant to do the needful, "Yoon will tell you everything."

Assistant Yoon paused his steps and cursed at his awful fate. Just what terrible things did he do in his past life for just one day to be like this?

Coffee n' Chill.

"Here's your order miss." The waiter politely said as he placed two plates of bowled shape waffles, filled with custard and fruits, and topped with chocolate drizzle.

Soo Min nodded her head and thanked the waiter, before turning over to her angry little friend and gestured her to start eating. "Well... what are you waiting for? Hmm? It's your favorite!"

Olivia ignored her friend and began to eat with her attention fully focused on the plate of delicious waffles in front of her.

Soo Min tried her best to hide her amus.e.m.e.nt at her best friend's cute antics. She knew that Olivia won't forgive her so easily, which is why she started with a bribe!

After all, she was not going to give up so easily either. She decided to let her friend eat first and wait for her anger to mellow down a little, before she too shoved a bite of the dessert in her mouth.

"Well... I'm waiting you know. What's your so called reason for not telling me such an important part of your life?" Olivia asked crossing her arms.

Soo Min placed her fork down and sighed, "Just where do I begin?"

She took a deep breath before she began to recount all the events that had occurred in her life from the dinner at the Song mansion all the way to the sudden announcement of her engagement for the entire world to know.

To be honest, the more she tried to remember in order to not leave out any details, the more she felt her head hurt. How could just meeting one person make her entire life so much more complicated?
