Love To Hate Me

Chapter 30 - 30: There’s No Escape

...

Meanwhile at the CEO's Office.

"Yo—Young Master. Please calm down." Assistant Yoon said, with a slight quicker in his voice, showing just how scared he was of confronting his young master's deadly gaze. He cursed his fate for making him the one to be the messenger to carry out this news to his young master, but he was left with no other choice!

When Assistant Yoon saw the published article about his young master's engagement, he abruptly stood up from his chair and immediately ran to inform his boss.

"Calm down? This is all your fault! If it was not for you colliding with my mother, none of this would have ever happened!" Ryan snapped as he sat back down and rested his head on his chair, before he held his forehead.

Assistant Yoon wiped his sweat from his forehead, and stayed silent because he knew that it was indeed his fault.

"Call my mother." Ryan coldly asked.

"Y—Yes Young Master." Assistant Yoon immediately took out his phone and instantly dialed Mother Song's number. His hands trembled in fear and he swallowed a big lump in his throat, as he waited for the call to be picked up.

From time to time, Assistant Yoon glanced over at his Young Master's face. Sure enough, it was cold and his blue eyes glinted dangerously. Assistant Yoon shuddered in fear, and prayed for his madam to quickly answer his call.

Finally, the call was connected.

"Hello?" A woman's voice sounded from the other end of the line.

"Madam Song. The Young Master would like to talk t—" Before Assistant Yoon could finish what he was saying, his phone was already snatched away from him.

"Ah. Assistant Yoon, did you have something else to report to me?" Mother Song asked.

"Mother. How could you publish the news about my engagement without informing me?" Ryan answered the phone with a growl.

"Ha! Did you really think I would be foolish enough to tell you about my plans, just so you could plan your next scheme accordingly?" Mother Song scoffed from the other end of the phone.

Ryan's lips twitched when he heard his mother's words. "But mother, you did not have to involve the media in this."

"Why? So I can let you escape? Son. I am your mother, and I know that right now, you are trying to find another way out of this. Let me save you some time and give you some advice: there is no escape! It's in your best interest to stay put and just get married. Hmph!" Mother Song said as she rolled her eyes at her son.

"But I—" Before Ryan could say anything else, Mother Song hung up on him.

In a fit of rage, Ryan was about to throw the phone, but was immediately intercepted by his assistant.

"Yo—Young Master. Please don't! That's my only phone." Assistant Yoon pleaded.

Realizing what he was about to do, Ryan cleared his throat and said, "Oh. Right, here take it and leave."

Assistant Yoon quickly walked over and grabbed his phone with a huge relief on his phone, that his phone was not smashed into pieces.

Just as he was about to leave, the door was abruptly pushed open from the outside, causing it to slam roughly against the wall, startling both Ryan and Assistant Yoon.

"What happened?" The young man who had just barged into the office, exclaimed.
