Love To Hate Me

Chapter 23 - 23: Ice Statue

.....

Hospital Entrance.

'What is he doing here?'

Soo Min furrowed her eyebrows when she saw Assistant Yoon standing next to the black mercedes, before heading downstairs.

"Miss Park. Sorry to bother you but do you have a minute?" Assistant Yoon asked.

At first, Soo Min was just going to go her own way as if she had not seen anything, but that wasn't going to be so easy now.

"What is it?" Soo Min inquired.

She was curious to why that ice statue's assistant would come all the way to her workplace. Wait! Is that ice statue here too? But she could not clearly tell due to the tinted black windows.

"The Young Master would like to speak with you." Assistant Yoon informed.

'Oh so he is here. But who cares he is the last person I want to see right now!' Soo Min mused.

"Sorry but I already have plans." Soo Min casually said before turning to walk away when all of a sudden, the back door of the mercedes opened and a tall young man dr.a.p.ed in a grey suit walked out.

Soo Min watched him with raised eyebrows as strode toward her with the same blank facial expression.

"Once an ice statue, always an ice statue." Soo Min mumbled and decided to ignore him, and wandered her eyes to look in another direction.

"Come with me!" Ryan said and grabbed Soo Min's wrist.

Soo Min's eyes widened by his sudden action and immediately yelled at him.

"Hey! W—What are you doing? Let go of me."

But her words seemed to have had no effect on Ryan, and she was reluctantly dragged along with him until they stopped at a nearby park.

Soo Min immediately yanked her wrist back and asked, "What is the meaning of this, Mister Song?!"

"Sit down." Ryan instructed which threw Soo Min completely off for a second as that was not the answer she was expecting.

"I'm sorry what?" Soo Min was perplexed.

Ryan let out a frustrated sigh before he once again grabbed Soo Min's hand and pulled her to sit next to him on the wooden park bench.

There was a moment of silence.

Slowly, Soo Min began to lose it. This man was really testing her patience. First, he forcefully brings her here and now he is not even saying anything. Just what exactly was he trying to do!

'Will he say something already?!' Soo Min thought, as her amber, deep seated eyes, blinked several times to kill her boredom.

The one time she gets off work early, and this happens. Life truly is full of surprises—no unpleasant surprises!

"We need to call of this engagement." Ryan said finally breaking the awkward silence.

"So you do know to use your brain." Soo Min scoffed.

Ryan glared at her and Soo Min chuckled and said, "Okay fine I'll stop! But do you really think I have not tried. My dad just will not listen to me!"

"Same with my mom too! She already thinks the world of you and if it comes down to that, she's ready to disown me." Ryan informed.

The two of them heaved a long sigh. None of their parents were going to listen to what they have to say, so how exactly do they call this alliance off?

That was when the thought struck her.

"Hey! I have a great idea." Soo Min informed.

"What is it?" Ryan asked.

"Since both our parents will not listen to what we say, how about we make them cancel this alliance themselves?"

Ryan raised his eyebrows and inquired, "And how are we going to do that?"

"By making the two of them hate us, therefore removing that godlike image that your mother has of me and my father has of yours!" Soo Min grinned before she continued, "We will call it Operation: Cancel The Alliance!"

"Not bad. I think we can give it a shot!" Ryan agreed.

The two of them shaked hands on their new partnership.

"Let's have a good cooperation!"
