Love Is Sweeter Second Time Around

After the lunch with Mu Shu and her son, Yiu Chunxiu and Zuo Haoyang parted with Mu Shu. They, again stroll in the mall.

She fell into deep thought after meeting Haoyang's cousin, who was coincidentally her ex's fiancé.

If Mu Shu was Zuo Haoyang's cousin, she would certainly attend the engagement party and the wedding. Wouldn't that mean that Gao Yishen would be her escort that day? How could she hide the existence of YunTian if that man would come in those momentous event?

Yiu Chunxiu completely forgot that Zuo Haoyang was beside her and sighed.

When the man saw her sighed, he immediately asked, "What's wrong?" with a worried tone and expression.

Only then did she realized that she wasn't alone. Thinking of another man when she was with her fiancé. She was surely an unfaithful woman and she needed to lie again so her fiancé wouldn't suspect anything.

Yiu Chunxiu shook her head, "Nothing. I was amazed that I met the socialite's number one lady. She's really pretty, huh?"

To her relief, Zuo Haoyang didn't see through her lie but she felt even more guilty with his response.

Zuo Haoyang held her left hand and looked at her,  "I don't care if everybody says that she is prettier than you. In my eyes, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever met and even if I met other women, my eyes and heart will only be for you."

Yiu Chunxiu was stunned. Suddenly pulling such romantic words, she have no clue how to respond to him. He was her fiancé however this was the first time they spend time together without their families. She was just starting to know him on the other hand, he already fell for her long time ago.

Yiu Chunxiu stared at the man and realized that Zuo Haoyang noticed that she froze upon hearing his feelings. He suddenly walked away from her.

Confused with the man's action, Yiu Chunxiu was about to follow him. "Where are you going?" She asked. Was he angry or disappointed that she didn't say anything?

The man turned around and smiled at her. He said in upbeat tone, "Just stay there! I'm just going somewhere! I'll be off just for few minutes!"

Yiu Chunxiu saw him jogged away from her. Where was he going? Should she really not follow him?

Since he said to wait for him, she sat into thr nearby bench inside the mall. There she watched people passed by as she listened to the two women's conversation beside her.

"Hey, have you heard? Gao Corporation secured another international deal!" said by the woman who was sitting in the bench beside her.

"I saw a in the news! CEO Gao is so handsome and capable!" the other woman who was wearing a yellow dress exclaimed.

"I know right! I actually wanted to apply to their company but it was so hard to pass the interview." The other one sounded so gloomy.

The more she listened to the two girls, the more she realized how successful Gao Yishen had become in five years. He wouldn't achieve all of these if he continued to stay with her. It was a good thing that they broke up. She and Gao Yishen were never meant to be.

Zuo Haoyang came back roughly around 30 minutes after he left. On his right hand was a small black paperbag. She could only get herself ready for whatever was coming.

She calmed herself, stood up and walked with a smile towards Zuo Haoyang.

"I'm sorry I made you wait,' Zuo Haoyang said shyly with a boyish smile in his face that could enchant any women. His features wasn't Godly like Gao Yishen, but along with dominant yet positive aura, his charms would surely make every girl fall for him.

Yiu Chunxiu slightly bowed, "I'm sorry for my reaction earlier."

Zuo Haoyang laughed which sounded like bells ringing from heaven, "No. It's okay. I was also shock when I said those words."

She knew that he was retrying not to make her feel bad so she tried to apologize but before she could, Zuo Haoyang interrupted her by giving the small black paper bag to her.

She was puzzled for a second then she looked at the paperbag carefully.

Chopard? Isn't that a luxury jewelry brand?

"Can I hold your hand until we grow old?" Zuo Haoyang asked with a straight face.

It seconds before Yiu Chunxiu could respond. Is this a proposal?! It's so sudden! She wasn't prepared to handle this.

Although they were engaged due their parents arrangement (and Haoyang's will), she didn't expect that on the second day of their meeting Zuo Haoyang would propose on a public place! It's a good thing that it was weekday and very few people were in the mall.

Without thinking, Yiu Chunxiu bursted, "Is this a proposal?"

When she said it, the man in front of her turned red. Zuo Haoyang looked he was about to explode from anxiousness and his flushed face. The other hand was clenching, something you wouldn't expect from a guy who was second lieutenant of military.

It was indeed a proposal.

She suddenly remembered the time when she was still dating Gao Yishen. They also promised that they would marry each other and he even said that he would propose to her on the most unexpected time.

The unexpected proposal did really come true but with another man.

She felt her eyes moisten. She erased the memories in her head and smiled at her fiancé. She took the black paperbag from him and opened the box inside it.

She saw a platinum ring with a small diamond in the center of it. Wasn't this ring expensive?

She looked at the man in front of her agaim and softly smiled. She took out the ring and placed it on the ring finger of her left hand.

She would left everything behind Gao Yishen, except for her treasure, YunTian.
