Love Is Sweeter Second Time Around

In the top floor of a tall building of Gao Corporation, a young man stood at the top. He was resting in his swivel chair.

There were tons of work waiting for him but his mind wasn't into it. He was just staring in the ceiling, thinking of what had happened before.

Up until now he couldn't forget the women he saw that time. It was definitely her ex-girlfriend. There was no mistake in it. But what the hell is she doing at the luxurious hotel like Oriental Ocean Hotel?

Gao Yishen push the button to call for his assistant. In instant, his assistant entered the door.

"Assistant Han," Gao Yishen said in a firm voice. "Investigate matters about Yiu Chunxiu. 25 years old. Five years ago she was a student at C Arts University."

"What information do you want Mr. Gao?" Assitant Han asked in monotone.

"Everything about her," he answered.

"Mr. Gao should I prioritized this over the current papers you asked me to do?"

Gao Yishen sighed. He completely forgot that they were working on an important deal, "Prioritize your work first. Then do the investigation. I'll give you a week to report about that girl."

"Yes. Then I'll go now." Assistant Han said. He bowed before leaving the Gao Yishen's office.

It has been five years since he last saw her, however she never failed to mesmerized him. Although her change was drastic, he was still captivated by it. It was like a spell was casted on him.

He was certain that Yiu Chunxiu remembered her. She was averting her gaze, she also looked anxious with her fist clenched. Although it was inconspicuous, he had been with that girl for two years. He watched her every move, he knew how she would react in situations. It seems like she did not changed at all.

Yiu Chunxiu was about to go out to meet Zuo Haoyang when Yiu Chaun saw her. He was leaning towards the wall while his arms were crossed, "Hmm.. so where is this little sister of mine going?" he asked while one of his eyebrows was raised.

"I'm having lunch with Haoyang, Third Brother." she answered diligently.

Yiu Chaun scanned her from head to toe, "Do you really need to dress up that much?" he said in irritated tone, "You can just casually wear your pants like you usually do."

She wore an elegant floral dress again this time. She was used to dress like this, even before however when going out she would often wear jeans which caused socialites in the imperial to alienate her. Their style and her style was complete different.

She forced a smile, "I am back in our homeland now. I have to act like a lady or else they would discern me as disgraceful of the status of Yiu Family."

Yiu Chaun rolled his eyes, "But remember to still be yourself." He reminded her and threw something towards her.

She was thankful she had a brother like him, or else she would die due to the pressure of her family and demands of society. He never forgot to care for her.

Yiu Chunxiu catched it and saw a car key, "Third brother? What am I going to do with this?" she was confused.

"I'm giving you my Audi A5 since I bought the latest. It's my gift for your graduation in medical school. Take care of my baby." he said which made her dumbfounded. How could he easily give his car away?! "Btw, aren't you bringing Yuntian?"

"Nope! Mother said that it would be better if we get to know each other first before bringing Yuntian." she explained.

Yiu Chunxiu formed an "O" in his mouth, "Good luck with your date. Take care of my baby!" and then he left hurriedly.

Yiu Chunxiu drove his brother's car to the mall where she will meet Zuo Haoyang. When she reached the café, he was already there with two cups of tea and a slice of cake.

"Sorry. Did you wait too long?" She asked apologetically and settled down in the seat in from of Zuo Haoyang.

He looker at his watched and smiled, "No, it's still actually 10 minutes before our call time! If I reached here on time, I would feel bad making you wait for me."

This man was too great for her. She felt bad that her heart was already taken yet she will marry such an honest man.

"You look great in your dress," he added with a gentle smile on his face.

Yiu Chunxiu blushed a little, "Thank you."

Although it was supposed to be a lunch date, Zuo Haoyang ordered a piece of strawberry cake for her. She would feel bad if she didn't ate it so she took few bites, "Hmm.. This is delicious!"

Zuo Haoyang scratched his head, indicating that he was embarassed, "Really? I thought that you'll be hungry when you reached the café so I get ahead of myself and ordered you one. Sorry, I completely forgot we're here for lunch."

"Its actually good. You don't have to apologized. It's been years since I last visited café's in our country. I didn't know that this café was actually great," she said trying to make him feel better. "Would you like to try some?"

Zuo Haoyang shook his head, "No. I'm already satisfied seeing that you liked that cake."

"If that's what you think."

After finishing the cake, they head off to the stroll around the mall. Zuo Haoyang told her about his experiences in the military base. Soon she will enter it to become a military doctor. She wanted to know what she should expect inside. Although her family worked for the it, she never had the courage to asked them what was like inside. Thankfully, Zuo Haoyang entertained her questions.

"How was it working as in the army?" She asked curiously.

They were walking not too close yet not too far from each other, she also noticed that Zuo Haoyang wanted to hold her hand, as it occasionally touched the back of her hands.

"It is tiring yet it is fulfilling. Knowing that i can serve the country and protect it from danger is good. But it's also sometimes devastating. Especially when a good friend died in the battle field." His eyes showed a hint of sadness in it.

"Did your friend died in the battle field?"

"Yeah." He said as if reminiscencing the times he spent with his friend, "He's my best friend."

Yiu Chunxiu didn't know what to say. She finished Psychiatry for her specialization but hearing it from someone who will become part of your life, she didn't know how to react.

"Btw, you said yesterday that you have some things you need to settle here in the capital. Can I know what is it?" Yiu Chunxiu just changed the subject to avoid the awkwardness.
