Love Is Sweeter Second Time Around

When Yiu Chunxiu heard Gao Yishen's chilly voice, her spine shivered. There was no warmth in it unlike when they were still met at the university. She couldn't help but think of what happened to him that cause him to changed drastically.

His words flashed in her head again, how could he disrespect an old man? Perhaps the Xi Ming offended him in a way, but the Gao Yishen he knew before wouldn't use impudent words to an old man.

As he walked towards them, his ink jet tuxedo which accentuated his fit body made him look more majestic. Every step he took made his distinct features became more and more visible. The man has perfect facial feature as if God personally sculpted his face. His deep set ebony eyes was the same as ever, it was alluring yet mysterious. Anyone who laid their eyes on it would be devour. His high-bridged nose and thin lips was impeccable. His features were top-notch that even A-list actors would be ashamed to go near this man, they would certainly lose their confidence if they do so. Along with his seamless face was his status as the leader of one of the largest company in the country, this guy was the epitome of a man!

Before she could even react, the man had reached them. Gao Yishen didn't even a glance to the old man who was fuming from anger. He directly walked to Yiu Chaun, "It's good to see you here, CEO Yiu."

Yiu Chunxiu and Gao Yishen were taller than her so she needed to look up so she could see their faces, she saw her brother's lips twitched.

One of the things her brother hated was when someone was being overbearing to him. The very reason why he decided to built his own company, he didn't liked the idea of someone acting as if he was superior to him.

Her brother remained composed, "Oh! If isn't CEO Gao." He said in a cheery tone. "I was planning to approach you later but I'm still not yet done introducing my little sister to the crowd."

Yiu Chaun glanced at her, it was followed by Gao Yishen's gaze. To avoid meeting his eyes she lowered her head. She wanted to escape as soon as possible. It never crossed her mind that her brother was planning to introduced her to Gao Yishen. She wanted a minimal interaction with him in this gathering but her brother wasn't allowing her to do so.

Yiu Chaun released their arms from linking, "This is my little sister I told you about." For a split second, his eyes narrowed then he lowered her gaze to her, "Introduced yourself to CEO Gao. He's my new business partner."

Introduced herself to Gao Yishen? They already knew each other from university. They even dreamed of spending the rest of their lives together, now they're back to how they started－ strangers.

She looked at him in eyes and caught him staring at her. How should she introduced herself? Something that wouldn't sound awkward.

She wished that the earth would split for a second and swallow her. She had a hunch that her brother was already suspecting that Gao Yishen was Yuntian's father. She needed to talk to him when they got home.

Why did misfortune kept on following her these days? First it was Mu Shu. Now it was her brother.

To ease her restlessness, she clenched to the flap bag on her other hand, "Good evening CEO Gao. I am Yiu Chunxiu, the youngest child of Yiu Family. It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you." She extended her hand for a handshake.

She had a breath-taking smile on her face, yet it was pretentious. She was aware that he would notice it. It didn't anymore though, for her this was just a step so she could lead a peaceful married life with Zuo Haoyang.

Gao Yishen examined her. He didn't respond at all, her hands remained in the air and she started to get tired from smiling like a fool.

'Is he planning to humiliate me in front of these people?' she thought.

Gao Yishen took a glimpse at her hands hanging in the air then focus on her brother.

He ignored her! Did he actually make her lose face in front of a lot of people?

Even though the crowd that surrounds them were flabbergasted, it was the youngest daughter of Yiu Family! Was he inferring that not even Yiu family's daughter could faze him and could his status?

She lowered her hand and bit her lips so she could prevent herself from beating the guy in front of him.

Good! She understood choosing Zuo Haoyang over this man was right all along. Even if their relationship has ended, he shouldn't treat her this way. She didn't do anything wrong, it was him who broke up with her. Now he was holding grudges?

He even started talking to her brother as if she was just an air. He didn't even spare her a glance after her she introduced herself.

Since Gao Yishen treated her as if she wasn't there, then she would do the same. If she made this a big deal, it would sully the reputation of their family more. If she showed to the socialite circle that it didn't matter, she could at least save some face.

Neither of the two men paid attention to Yiu Chunxiu, so Xi Ming who was shamelessly trying to set her up with his grandson took this opportunity to continue pursuing her. "Ms. Yiu, don't mind CEO Gao, he just doesn't like it when women go near him." He explained so he could get on her favorable side.

Yiu Chunxiu actually forgotten that she still haven't responded to the old man's proposal. He was still going on even after the criticize by Gao Yishen.

"So what do you think Ms. Yiu? Do you think you can meet my grandson?" He continued.

She turned her attention to Xi Ming. She doesn't want to disappoint the elderly and she doesn't want to disclose information about her marriage until every final details were settled however telling the Xi Ming that she was already seeing a marriage potential partner was the only way she could think to refuse his offer.

She looked at the elderly apologetically, "I am sorry Mr. Xi but I am already seeing someone so I can't meet your grandson." On the other side, Yiu Chaun saw Gao Yishen's eyes flickered when his little sister said that she was already meeting someone. He was obviously affected by her words. These two really had a past, huh. But what happened to them?

Yiu Chunxiu was being honest, although she already accepted Zuo Haoyang's proposal, their engagement has yet to come. She wanted to hide this to other people. For some reason, she felt that she had already caught a lot of attention in the ball. This wasn't a banquet they hosted though, it was for organized by their city's government. It wasn't right for her to steal the spotlight this night.

Instead of being disappointed, Xi Ming was continued to probe. "You're just seeing him, right? That's okay. You can choose between him and my grandson when the time comes."

Puh! Wasn't this old man so shameless? She already stated that she was seeing someone yet he didn't stop there. Was his company on the brink of bankruptcy? He was so desperate!

Yiu Chunxiu was bewildered, she tried to put it nicely yet the elderly didn't stopped. She didn't know whether she should laugh or cry. She knew that older people tend to be more stubborn however she had never met this kind of elderly.

With this kind of situation, she had no choice but to be straightforward, huh?

"I am sorry but I really can't. I am already engaged to him." She said and slowly lifted her left hand that was clutching the bag.

"What? You're already engaged?" It was an abrupt question from Gao Yishen.

He emitted a fearsome around him. Everyone near him wanted to run away for their lives. Nobody expected it because he disregarded her earlier. With his current expression now, it seems that he had failed to sign an multi billion proposal.

Was there something wrong with her being engaged?
