Love Is Sweeter Second Time Around

As soon as she got home, Mu Shu called one of her friends who had gone in the same university as Gao Yishen before. She needed to know the truth. She was sure that Yiu Chunxiu was hiding something and she was sure that Yiu Yuntian was Gao Yishen's child.

Yiu Yuntian was already four years old, same age as her son. Five years ago, Gao Yishen studied at C Arts University and majored Architecture but due to grieve predicament in the Gao clan, he inherited the bussiness out of the blue. He wasn't trained to handle the bussiness but the position of CEO was handed to him.

Of course, a lot of shareholders opposed this. It was too sudden, there wasn't even a proper training. However no one could blame the Gao clan. The former CEO, Gao Yishen's father, fell into coma and nobody could take over the group.

After a few rings, her friend answered the call, "Xiao Lan?"

She could her that the person on the other end was out, "I'm sorry it took me a while to answer the phone," she said apologetically. "Is there something matter?"

Mu Shu wanted to ask her questions immediately however her son was playing inside their room.

Although Gao Zhilan was still young, he was already sharp and clever. She knew that her son could tell that something was amiss. Even right now, her son has a curious look in his face while looking at her.

She smiled at him and covered the speaker of the phone, "Zhi, go find to your grandma and accompany her. Mother will have to talk to her friend," she explained.

Gao Zhilan easily understood his mother and went to his grandmother to play. He could sense that his mother was feeling edgy although he couldn't think of a reason for her to feel that.

When she saw that Gao Zhilan exited her room, she returned to the phone call.

"I'm sorry for making you wait," she forced a smile as if the othe person could see it. "I just have a question to asked." Her voice was soft and delicate, smoothing to one's ears.

"It's okay Sis Shu! What is it that you sound that you might owe me one great favor." She joked and giggled.

It took seconds before she could reply. Her delicate eyebrows slightly knitted, she was poundering whether she should really interfere with this matter. "Do you know anything about Gao Yishen when he was in university?"

She wanted to directly asked if Gao Yishen had any lovers specifically named Yiu Chunxiu when he was still a student. She would only sound suspicious if she done that though.

Xiao Lan's voice raised, she sounded excited. "Yes! CEO Gao was a famous not only because of his looks buy also due to his talent in architecture! A lot of girls were smitten by him and called him National Husband and university prince! I was in the same  organisation with him before. He won countless of competition outside the university. Aside from that, nobody expected that he was the heir of Gao International Corporation so it was a huge issue when he suddenly quit university and became a CEO."

Xiao Lan seemed that she didn't noticed that she went frenzied. She was recalling her university life afterall.

Mu Shu wanted to sighed if would not only be rude to the person on the other line. She already knew about this, she wanted something else.

She felt slightly frustrated however she maintained her calm and soft voice, "Did Gao Yishen had a lover during his time in university?" She asked directly this time.

She walked into the veranda of her bedroom, she saw her son playing with her mother in the garden of Mu mansion. Her son seemed to have a great time playing.

"Hmm.." Xiao Lan hummed. "Yes! CEO Gao had a girlfriend before!" She suddenly said in a high-pitched voice that caused Mu Shu to take her phone away from her ears.

This girl was too enthusiastic!

However Xiao Lan's  words caught her attention.

So, Gao Yishen really dated someone before. She was kinda aware of it as she saw him once in a mall eating with a girl around his age. Because of distance, she didn't clearly saw the face of the girl. She just knew that the girl was someone from a prominent family, the aura of the girl says it.

She closed her eyes and leaned her back in the guardrail of the veranda. She took a deep breath and asked, "Do you still remember the name of the girl?"

She opened her eyes that showed a profound sadness, she remembered her tortuous past. She should not be reminded of that again. She doesn't want to.

The woman in the other end hesitated. Mu Shu could guess that Xiao Lan might be thinking that it would hurt her if she knew the name so she repeated her question, "What was the name of the girl?"

"The girl.. also quit university soon after CEO Gao inherited the company. She also didn't came from distinguished family so you don't need to worry about her," she tried to divert Mu Shu's attention and comfort her.

Xiao Lan knew that Mu Shu came from the most prominent clan in the capital that has ties with the military and government. If she was to say the name of the girl, that girl would surely meet her ends. She didn't want that though. Although she was friends with Mu Shu, Gao Yishen's ex-girlfriend was one of the people she idolized. Smart, pretty, talented and kind! The girl helped her a lot during the time that girl was still in university.

Mu Shu didn't knew this, was the girl not Yiu Chunxiu? She was sure of it that Yiu Chunxiu was Gao Yishen's ex-lover. Did she hide that she came from the prominent Yiu family?

She closed her eyes again and took a deep breath. "I won't do anything. Just tell me her name," her voice still sounded soft even though her mind was exploading for impatience.

She tried to reassure that she won't do anything and she hoped Xiao Lan would take the bait.

Xiao Lan hesistated again and took seconds to answer again, her voice was quivering, "Y-Yiu C-Chu-Chunxiu."
