Wei Jing sat by the corner of the sofa by himself, listening to the conversation. In the end, he actually didn’t feel anything when he heard his father praising his big brother wholeheartedly. Instead, the child sitting across from him pursed his lips, a little unhappy.

Wei Jing couldn’t remember what happened during his childhood. He only remembered being scolded and humiliated by Wei Mei when he was young, Most of his childhood revolved around his admiration for his big brother.

So…Wei Mei felt the same as him? He was also jealous of his outstanding big brother?

The child across him detected Wei Jing’s gaze. He suddenly turned around and revealed a provoking smile.

It’s coming, it’s coming.

Wei Jing nodded calmly at him, ignoring Wei Mei’s cutting remarks.

When the father and son were done talking, Wei Jing clutched his head and said that his head hurts with a pale face before Wei Mei could say anything. He said that he wanted to go upstairs and sleep for a while.

Wei He didn’t bother with this son. If he didn’t need to see this son, he didn’t. Seeing that he was going to leave now, he clearly wasn’t going to stop Wei Jing.

The head of the family already allowed him, so what could the other two say?

Wei Jing got his wish granted and returned to his room on the second floor. He knew from a long time ago that Wei He didn’t like him. In his past life, he always thought that he wasn’t outstanding enough. But he understood now. Even if he was barely any different from the illegitimate sons, Wei He still didn’t like him the most.

He couldn’t remember…his father’s gentle hug and broad arms around him anymore.

Since this is the case, why bother staying here to court a rebuff and become a stepping stone for someone else?

Being a quiet passer-by is the role that suits him the most.

The walls in the room were painted faint sky blue. The tables and chairs were multi-colored like how the children liked it. The mattress and blanket were of a warm yellow color and checkered. The sharp places were covered up carefully in case that children might accidentally bump into them.

Back then…when they were arranging the room, they probably had loved him.

Wei Jing half laid in bed and subconsciously fell into deep sleep.

Children loved to sleep. Plus, Wei Jing was injured not too long ago. When he woke up, it was near dusk. The round and red sun was like a disk, appearing in front of the window sill. Strands of sunlight shone into the room. Wei Jing rubbed his eyes and yawned, climbing out of bed.

It was already 5 pm. Wei Family served dinner at 6 pm on the dot. If he was late, he was inevitably going to be scolded by Wei He.

By the stairs, Wei Jing coincidentally met Wei Mei who was walking downstairs. Wei Mei lifted his whtie and delicate face, smiling but spit out poisonous words, “Idiot.”

“Hm?” Wei Jing raised his eyebrows and observed Wei Mei. “Then what are you? An idiot’s brother. You’re less than an idiot.”

He didn’t expect Wei Jing to retort. As a result, he was stunned. By the time he walked to the dining hall, he just snapped out of his trance. He smiled innocently and said, “Brother Wei Jing is like a little pig. You sleep for so long! It’s already time for dinner.”

This little brat!

Wei Jing pursed his lips. Would he die from not teasing him?

“Then…you are…the pig’s little brother?” Bandages were wrapped around the child’s head. His originally pale face became even more transparent. His gaze swept over the other two people. The child stuttered, “This…this isn’t good.”

Wei He who suddenly became the pig father…

Likewise, Wei Zhe who suddenly became the pig brother…

Wei Mei thought: the big brother that was brought back to live for about a year or so really isn’t as simple as his mother claimed! He glanced at Wei Jing strangely.

The children’s childish conversation didn’t attract the other two’s attention. Wei He sat on the master seat and Wei Zhe followed close behind. As for…Wei Jing, he took his seat last. Since there were no other seats…he sat next to his big brother.

Oh my god. He…really didn’t do this on purpose.

Wei He sat on the master seat and the other two seats were taken by Wei Mei and his big brother. That means…Wei Mei and Wei Zhe were sitting across from each other.

There was no way that Wei Jing could sit in the back! In a situation where he had to pick 1 out of 2…Cough! He didn’t want to sit with Wei Mei, that annoying person!

Wei Mei who sat across was stunned. Then he turned around to look at Wei Jing deeply, As expected…he wasn’t simple!

The innocent and naive Wei Jing was confused…Why was he looking at him? Does he want to attack him verbally again?

The family didn’t talk while they were eating, so it was quiet during the meal.

Up until the servants carried refreshments over after the meal. The teen boy took a soft sip of the freshly pumped juice. His action was elegant. The black hair in front of his forehead covered half his eye. He lightly smiled and naturally pushed the tray of fruits to Wei Jing. “Eat more. Why does your face look unwell? Where else don’t you feel good?”

Wei Jing widened his round eyes. He blinked a few times before saying in a low voice, feeling overwhelmed, “I’m fine. Thank you big brother.”

“Tell me if you don’t feel comfortable.” Wei Zhe didn’t say much and recovered his indifferent expression as if the smile never existed.

Wei Jing’s heart thumped rapidly. He felt as though he was high in the clouds. What did big brother mean by this?

Is he trying to be friendly to him?

“Big brother, I want too!” Wei Mei suddenly exclaimed, cutting off Wei Jing’s thoughts.

Wei Jing watched as Wei Mei cupped his face and pouted his red lips, glancing miserably at the young man with his teary eyes.

Wei Zhe looked up and said, “Get it yourself.”

“Daddy, look. Big brother is biased.” Wei Mei pursed his lips and acted cute. “I want big brother to give me fruits too.”

The man seemingly smiled at the child and asked, “Don’t you have hands?”

So toxic! Wei Jing sucked in a cold breath. Is there something that a father should say to their child? As expected, Wei Mei’s face ashened and his eyes became red, trying hard not to let the tears fall.

After all, he was still a child and not as sophisticated as he was in the future.

“Enough. It’s no big deal. Why are you acting like a girl?” The man seemed unhappy and drank the cup of tea in one gulp. “I’m leaving now. Wei Mei will be living here during the PRC National Day. After school stars, someone will come to pick him up.”

“I understand.” Wei Zhe placed the tea cup down and nodded..

Wei Jing looked back and forth before understanding what was going on. Big brother wants to beat down Wei Mei! Meanwhile, he was using him to achieve his goal.

Wei Jing suddenly felt gloomy in his heart.

He clearly knew that his big brother wasn’t the big brother in the past. But…he was still upset!

Wei He was busy with work and he had a bunch of mistresses outside as well. He rarely lived in the residence. Now that he left, there were only three minors in the living room. Wei Mei sat on the sofa and felt wronged. Why did things come to this point? It was clearly going well int he morning.

Wei Zhe said, “The guest room on the second floor is cleaned up. You’re living across from Xia Jing. If you need anything, you can come find the butler. He will handle it.”

Wei Mei glared at the young man, pursing his lips. He didn’t want to talk to him at all.

He dares to disrespect his big brother? Wei Jing immediately exploded. “What’s with this attitude? Don’t you know to answer when someone is speaking to you?”

“What does this have to do with you?” Wei Mei was angry and now that someone decided to collide into him, he took his anger out on Wei Jing. He retorted, “Look at yourself! You deserve getting bullied in school!”

“You’re the one that got bullied!” Wei Jing scolded, like a rabbit whose tail has been stepped on “It’s you! Is this how you treat your big brother? Where are your manners and etiquette? You huge idiot!”

As the child was saying this, he extended his arm and gestured about.

The students in the school didn’t bully him! Everyone was clearly very nice to him! Humph.

“Ok, go and rest.” The young man interrupted Wei Mei’s words and looked down on him. His icy gaze penetrated Wei Mei, making his heart chill at the sight.

The feverish Wei Mei immediately snapped out of his trance and regretted his decision. He came over to please his father and big brother. His goal was for them to like himself. That way, his mother might be able to marry father and he could live in the residence.

However, he first made his father unhappy and then displeased his big brother.

The child’s face paled. He tried his best to reveal a splendid smile but he failed in the end. He could only walk up the stairs while maintaining the awkward smile.

“Big brother, I…I’m going up too.” Wei Xiao Jing smiled, embarrassed. He really wanted to hug his head and cry. Ahhh! What had he done? He fought with a child? He really lost his face! Most importantly, he had done so in front of his big brother!

Big brother would hate him for his childish actions, right?!

“You slept for the entire afternoon and you still want to sleep now?” The young man raised his eyebrows, teasing.

Wei Jing blinked his eyes. Why did he feel like…his big brother was treating him better now?

“You finished your homework?” Wei Zhe continued to ask.

Wei Jing was confused, completely performing: who am I? Where am I? What am I doing? He obviously had homework, but the problem is…he was the twenty-one years old Wei Jing! Despite how great his memory was, he couldn’t remember the homework that the elementary teacher arranged for Independence Day. He wanted to kneel down!

“Grab your backpack and come to the study on the third floor. I’ll help you with homework.” Wei Zhe arranged the cuff on his sleeves before parting his lips aloofly.

The little rabbit just helped him, so he naturally needed to return the favor.

Wei Jing continued to act baffled. Was it too late to feign sickness?
