2002, Summer of B City.

The Wei Family’s residence was situated in the city center. In the furthest room of the second floor, the white and bright light was unpleasant to the eyes. Wei Jing laid in bed and touched the bandage wrapped around his head a few times, looking confused. He…he was really reborn!!

Wei Jing was one of the many illegitimate sons in the Wei Family. He was cowardly and weak, crying often. He cried at the smallest things.

It could be said that he lacked the ability to fight amongst the illegitimate sons.

It was unclear whether it was due to this that the Wei Family’s heir and his big brother, Wei Zhe, wasn’t wary of him. He provided large sums of money for Wei Jing to use, pampering and spoiling him.

Of all the people, however, it was Wei Jing who stabbed Wei Zhe behind his back, causing the stocks in the company to decrease dramatically. As a result, Wei Jing was kicked out of the family by his father and he got into a car accident whilst being muddleheaded.

Then…then he was reborn.

Wei Jing recalled his past. His mother was Wei He’s mistress and she almost became his wife. However, it was a pity that she encountered bad fortune and died due to a car accident a week before she was to get married. Wei Jing was also pampered by Wei He when he was young. But ever since his mother died, Wei He’s attitude towards him became poor. He looked at Wei Jing as if looking at mobile trash.

Wei Jing lived in the Wei Residence for a year or so in fear. Just when he thought he was going to be sent away, Wei Zhe took a fancy to him and kept him by his side, raising him.

If he hadn’t obtained it in the start, it wouldn’t be that painful later on.

Wei Jing watched as the father he respected complimented his big brother wholeheartedly. He was so jealous that there was a raging inferno burning inside his heart, wanting to burn down everything.

If his big brother can do it, why can’t he?

He wanted to become more outstanding than his big brother and snatch his father’s attention back on him.

That was probably what he was thinking back then. Then…he was stupidly used by people and hurted the big brother who always loved him.

He closed his eyes and recalled the teary eyes of the injured man. He looked like a lonely wolf walking by the edge of a cliff, bit by the person he trusted the most and pushed into the hopeless hell.

“Sorry.” Wei Jing covered his eyes with his hands and curled up into a ball, the tears flowing down from in between the crack of his hands.

Wei Jing lived until twenty one. His registered residence was still in his mother’s relative’s hand. From the start, Wei He had never admitted him as his son.

What was he thinking in his past life? He actually hurt his only relative for fatherly love that he never obtained before.

How was his despicable self worthy of his big brother’s pampering?

While Wei Jing was immersed in self-loathing, someone suddenly knocked on the door, causing him to jump off of the bed. The maid’s clear voice rang, telling him to go down to eat.

Wei Jing’s childish voice rang. He walked to the bathroom to wipe off the tear marks off his face before opening the door and walking out.

Wei Family’s residence had been built for a while. After experiencing several renovations, the entire residence was full of the combination of decorations from the past and current century. The servants lived on the first floor. The second floor contained the guest rooms. The third floor was the main bedroom and the study. The floors above contained the gym, gaming room, theater room…and even swimming pool.

In the beginning, Wei Jing lived on the second floor because he was small in size and had short legs. It was hard for him to climb the stairs. After his mother died, no one mentioned this. Therefore, Wei Jing continued to live on the second floor.

In the hall on the first floor, the teenage Wei Zhe wore a fitting suit and sat on the master seat upright. Although he was young, one could tell how elegant and handsome he would become in the future. Wei Jing sniffled and his eyes felt sour. He tried his best to control the tears flowing down his face.

Wei Jing was only six or seven years old right now. The child had round eyes and red lips. There was a layer of bandage wrapped around his head. He looked pitiful and cute as he tried to hold back his tears.

Wei Zhe originally felt upset that the child didn’t come down to eat on time but now he felt better. He indifferently glanced at Wei Jing and said, “Quickly.”
“Okay big brother.” Wei Jing nodded, panicking. He hurriedly sat by Wei Zhe’s side.

When he sat down, Wei Jing stared at the servants’ shocked gazes. He then realized…that he and his big brother didn’t have a good relationship right now! He normally sat across from his big brother or the furthest place.

Now…Wei Jing turned his head over and secretly gazed at his big brother’s expressionless face.

Was he angry?

Or not?

Let me know! He was so anxious. Wei Jing was about to cry from his stupidness.

If another illegitimate son challenged his authority, even if Wei Zhe didn’t act upon it at the moment, he would definitely find a chance to teach them a lesson later on. But this was Wei Jing! The child was like a little rabbit. He was dumb and cowardly, fated to lose his right of inheritance.

Wei Zhe believed that Wei Jing….was just being dumb again this time.

Rabbit! The snow-white fur and big doey eyes. They would hide behind their masters when they saw strangers…Corresponding the scene in his mind, Wei Zhe’s gaze was trained on Wei Jing. Wei Zhe thought that it was pretty cute to raise a little pet as he glanced at the confused Wei Jing.

“Eat.” Wei Zhe elegantly placed some carrot slices in the child’s bowl.

Wei Jing continued to be dumbstruck. “Eh?” He’s…not angry?

Wei Jing ate the carrot slices while trembling in fear. He glanced at the man only to see him eating the crispy pork. He subconsciously sucked in his drool. Many children this age were unable to control their physiologic instincts. When Wei Zhe noticed this, he subconsciously ate the pork slower. Glancing at the child secretly looking over at him, he…felt the desire to tease him.

Wei Jing was extremely sorrowful, having to eat the light vegetables.

Wei Family was strict with table manners. The pork was a bit far from Wei Jing. With his short arms and legs, he must stand up if he wanted pork.

After he finished the tasteless lunch, Wei Jing prepared to head upstairs to continue to rest when Wei Zhe stopped him.

Wei Zhe said that their father will be coming over at two, so he had to come down and greet him then.

Wei Jing nodded, well-behaved. He said that he understood.

Wei Jing basically understood his situation. In his past life at this time, he was stopped in the corridor at school by a tall student. He accidentally slipped down the stairs and hurt his head. Then, he was brought back to the Wei Family to recuperate.

Not only was his father, Wei He, coming back today, but also the illegitimate Wei Mei.

Wei Mei was smart and had good studies as well. He was also sweet, coaxing Wei He. In his past life, amongst the illegitimate sons of the Wei Family, he and Wei Mei lived the best lives.

But…Wei Jing didn’t like Wei Mei.

This was because the first thing he did since he came here was to beat down Wei Jing and to coax Wei He and Wei Zhe. In private, he even called Wei Jing an idiot, retard, trash…and what not. But now, he was at least a twenty one years old adult. There’s no way he would lose to a five years old!”

Wei Jing took an afternoon nap and then arrived at the living room right on time. The teenage young man was sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper. There was a cup of warm water and sliced fruits on the tea table. Wei Jing obediently greeted “big brother.” The latter nodded but didn’t say anything.

That’s right! Wei Jing couldn’t help but think bitterly.

His big brother should be handsome and elegant, cold and mighty as he was right now. He was like a king, controlling everything in his hands.

He shouldn’t be revealing a desperate and sorrowful expression because of his betrayal.

At that moment, Wei Jing made a decision. He needed to stay away from his big brother. He wasn’t sure when he might upset Wei Zhe or whether he could control himself and his heart to go on the same road again.

So…he might as well stay away from Wei Zhe!

In his past life, the only reason why he started to become closer to his big brother was because he couldn’t help but cry badly after he was scolded by Wei Mei. The two started interacting and then their relationship became closer.
But…if they never interacted from the start, then…he probably…would never get the chance to meet his big brother after being sent out of the Wei Family.

While Wei Jing was thinking badly about the situation, the door to the Wei Family’s drawing room was opened. The young Wei He held a delicate and cute boy’s hand, walking into the drawing room.

“Father.” Wei Zhe and Wei Jing said in unison.

Wei He nodded gently at them, mostly at Wei Zhe. He pushed the boy forward and said, “This is Wei Mei, your brother.” He introduced him simply.

The little boy was very cute and looked like a girl at first glance. He smiled shyly. His eyes sparkled as he stared at Wei Zhe. He said childishly, “Hi big brother. I’m Wei Mei and I’m five this year.”

“Mn.” Wei Zhe’s icy gaze swept over the little boy and his gaze was dark and gloomy.

The little boy’s smile froze but tried to squeeze out a slight smile.

Wei He placed this in his eyes. A faint smile hovered on his lips. He didn’t say anything. He brought Wei Mei over in order to pressure Wei Zhe. Whether Wei Mei would become his assistant or enemy depended on him. Wei Family needed a powerful heir, even if it was an illegitimate son.
