Law Of Creation

Chapter 91 - Prelude of the Centennial War (Part 1)

The Fire Kingdom.

The King's Personal Room, The Royal Family's Castle.

"BAM!"

The red-robed man couldn't control his emotion as he smashed the table in front of him. Even if the table was made from the Fierce Beast's bones, a crack could be seen. It was clear that the red-robed man didn't hold back his strength, the same with his temper.

Veins bulged out of his temple as he was filled with unconcealed rage. There was a hint of killing intent inside his rage.

A man with a big body built stood in front of the red-robed man. He was filled with white beard and moustache, while his hair was almost white. On the contrary of his hair, there was no hint of ageing on his face. Even though he was already more than sixty years old, his appearance was no more than a middle-aged man.

Covered in dark brown coloured steel armour, the man had a stern expression as he faced the angered red-robed man.

"Is. . . . Is this intelligence is trustworthy?" The red-robed man's body trembled as he looked at the scattered pieces of paper in front of him. Thanks to his stunt earlier, the stack of paper on the desk was scattered everywhere.

With a slight nod, the dark brown armoured man replied, "Yes, Your Majesty. The intelligence comes from three different sources, but each of the reports is the same."

"IT IS TREASON! BETRAYAL! HOW DARE THAT BASTARD DOING THIS BEHIND ME!"

"Calm down, Your Majesty-"

"HOW THE F*CK SHOULD I CALM DOWN! IF YOU ARE IN MY POSITION, WHAT WILL YOU DO!" The king snarled back at the dark brown armoured man.

"No need to worry, Your Majesty. Indeed a few things are already spilt out around, but the important thing should be in his hand. Don't Your Majesty think the same too?" The dark brown armoured man replied carefully as he guided the conversation.

Even though the person in front of him was the King of the Fire Kingdom, it was not hard to manipulate the King's opinion. It was akin to have a puppet to control.

The King only shot a gaze at the dark brown armoured man to continue his sentence.

"The Fourth Prince dares to spread those valuable information means he has something more important. More precious." The dark brown armoured man deliberately slowed his sentence as he led the conversation.

"SHI TIANGANG! I ORDER YOU TO FINISH YOUR SENTENCE OR I SWEAR I WILL IMPOSE MORE TAX FOR YOUR LAND!" Even though the King was not a bright person, he was not stupid enough to not realize that he was being led by the person in front of him.

But even so, he needed Shi Tiangang's opinion, thus he just glared at Shi Tiangang.

Shi Tiangang kneeled in front of the King. "I beg your pardon, Your Majesty. My suggestion is to house-arrest the Fourth Prince. We cannot possibly to damage the Royal Family's face, thus this lowly servant suggests to move out an Elemental Knight or two to arrest the Fourth Prince."

"Even though The Fourth Prince is a member of the Royal Family, this lowly servant understands that this act of arresting a member of Royal Family can be a stain. But it must be done before the Fourth Prince hides anything else and holds a bigger ambition." Shi Tiangang deliberately said the last sentence to give a hint toward the King.

". . . So, his ambition is this King's seat, isn't it?" A cold glint flashed in his eyes as the killing intent boiled.

"This lowly servant didn't dare to make an assumption."

Silence filled the wide and extravagant room. It was filled with many kinds of gold decoration, making the room glittered no matter it was day or night.

But unlike the bright and warm room, the conversation between the two was cold and gloomy.

Shi Tiangang opened his mouth again, "Your Majesty, we have to move as soon as possible. Who knows whether there is a mole inside this place."

Gritting his teeth, the King made the decision.

"SHI TIANGANG."

"Your lowly servant is here."

The King's eye grew cold as he continued his word. ". . . Arrest that unfilial bastard."

"Your lowly servant has received your order!" Shi Tiangang stood up and turned around to leave the room. His gaze was murderous as he left the room.

". . . Wait." As he almost stepped out of the room, an authoritative voice came from behind.

Not waiting for Shi Tiangang to turn around, the King continued, "Bring someone to accompany you since it is an important matter. I don't accept any careless result, and failure is out of the question. You understand, right?"

Not answering, Shi Tiangang left the room. As he closed the door, his face was filled with sneers.

[Humph. A mere puppet is trying to show his authority? What a joke.]

[Everything the Fourth Prince has, it will be mine!]

He walked around the castle as if it was the usual day.

The Fourth Prince's Residence

"Knock knock. . . ."

Knocking sound resounded in a small room. Even though the room was not really small, the number of books and papers filled almost half of the room as it was his personal workplace, the Fourth Prince's room.

"Come in." The Fourth Prince didn't have any leisure time as he was occupied with many kinds of paperwork in front of him.

He only gave a glance toward the pair of an old man and young man in front of him, and then he returned his attention toward the pile of papers. He was busy as the quill pen was dancing in his hand without stopping.

The more he looked, the more he felt the difference between the person in front of him with the current ruler. If the current ruler was akin to a pampered child, then the person in front of him was a m.a.t.u.r.e and attractive man.

The scene of in front of Shi Tiangang was very beautiful, it was akin to a ruler doing his responsibility. There was a saying, 'A man serious in his works is the most charming', and the scene before him was exactly like that.

"Oh? It is rare to have a visitation from the pair of Shi. Can you brief it as short as possible? I am quite occupied these days."

Knowing that his beloved grandson's temper, he took a step forward as he made a polite bow toward the Fourth Prince. "May we have a good cooperation?"
