Day 35th, the month of the wind, aka autumn.

Today was a good day because now Mingyue and company didn't need to sleep under the blessing under the starry night, aka homeless. Even though she never let down her vigilance, sleeping on the bed properly was a blessing.

With the verbal promise from the tribal's leader, Liao An, she was allowed to live in the Wind Chasing Tribe's settlement. Of course, she was not given a preferential treatment because each of the tribesmen had to be self-sufficient. In another word, she had to take care of her own meal.

[No problem. The excessive meat should be able to barter with some veggie. I bet Xiao Wu will love it.] Mingyue smiled and prepared for the new day in the settlement.

She was planning to observe the surroundings of the settlement and getting used to the culture of the tribe. Even though she became a free-loader, it was impossible for her to do anything she wanted. She came with a high-profile, unlike what she planned before.

If she was showing anything which was attracting the tribesmen's attention like before, there was a high possibility that she wouldn't be allowed to go out of this place. Even if she could run away as easy as fl.i.c.k.i.n.g her finger, she didn't want to leave in a bad relationship.

As she put her leg outside of the hut, she could see a tall woman in front of her hut.

". . . Let's go." The tall woman didn't have a lot to say as she walked away.

Mingyue was puzzled by the tall woman in front of her.

". . . Are you planning on a revenge?"

"Okay, if you don't want to get your breakfast, then I am fine with it. If you are dying out of hunger, don't haunt me. Ok?" The tall woman rolled her eyes, but she didn't wait for Mingyue at all. She just kept walking ahead.

Not feeling the bad intention of the tall woman, Mingyue immediately followed from behind.

"Where are we going, little Yun?" Mingyue asked Liao Yun, the same person that she had a word-fighting two days ago.

"Hunt our meal. You can't possibly grow if you didn't have enough meat."

"Ah. Don't worry, I can do it myself." Mingyue answered casually, but Liao Yun didn't think the same.

"Oh please, even if the beasts around here are not as dangerous as the Fierce Beast, it is definitely impossible for a little girl like you to take them down. No need to make any excuse, we will go together in a group." Liao Yun rolled her eyes.

"Group? Are we going to be together with other people? Can we not?"

"Why? Why why? Scared of a new people? You are really like a little girl even though you are a little older than me."

"Humph, I just don't like any stranger. . . Can we rest a little?" Mingyue lost her breath already because not only her stamina didn't improve, but also regressed.

Ever since she could do Familiar Possession, her body grew weaker. The more and the longer she did the Familiar Possession, her body would weaken bit by bit. After a few times Familiar Possession, Mingyue found the root of the problem. And this problem was not an easy thing to solve.

Liao Yun was clearly baffled by the weak Mingyue and wanted to sneer at Mingyue as the payback for the word-fighting event. But when she saw Mingyue's tired eyes, she swallowed back what she wanted to say. She didn't know how to console or to help Mingyue.

Suddenly a little white animal walked to their direction. Liao Yun was a little surprised, but she remembered that this animal was Mingyue's ride.

"What kind of ride is that?" Liao Yun was interested with Xiao Wu because it was the first time she saw such kind of animal.

After jumping on Xiao Wu's back, Mingyue leaned her body comfortably and replied, "She is a deer. You don't know?"

Focusing all of her attention, Liao Yun stared at Xiao Wu from top to bottom. "Don't lie. A deer is something with horn, how can a weird horse like this called a deer. No, it is not a horse. A pony?"

As the last sentence was said, Xiao Jing laughed out loud while Xiao Jing snorted at Liao Yun's focused face.

[Heck! Don't tell me that there is no any kind of deer in this world??] Mingyue almost fell from Xiao Wu as she heard the weird accusation.

Patting Xiao Wu's neck to calm her down, Mingyue replied, "A hornless deer, obviously much different from a horse, moreover a pony."

"Oooh, it is my first time. All I know is some kind of goat or sheep, but they are not suitable for a ride."

"Ahahahaha. Let's go. With this child, I don't need to rest in the middle of the road." Mingyue told Xiao Wu to walk slowly. Xiao Wu rolled her eyes toward Mingyue as if saying 'I told you that you will need my help'.

". . . Don't you think that your body is too weak?" Liao Yun felt that the topic was a little s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e, but she didn't care about it.

"I know already. But I can't do anything since I was born in this way."

"Don't tell me that your weak body is completely related with your size, little girl?"

"I don't know how many times I say this, but I am NOT a little girl. I don't know if there is any relationship, but my growth is indeed has slowed down considerably after I reached seven years old."

"No wonder you are as small as seven years old." Murmured Liao Yun, but Mingyue could hear it clearly.

The two days after she arrived at the Wind Chasing Tribe's settlement, she had no time to take a good look at the surroundings. Thus, she enjoyed the current view.

A variety size of the hut was scattered around without any pattern, with the exception of the tribe leader's hut in the middle of the settlement. Some kids were running around, but some other were gathered in a wide and flat ground.

"What is that?" Mingyue pointed in that direction.

"Training ground. Nothing interesting and it is a boring place." Liao Yun peeked at Mingyue while she asked, "Why are you looking at the uninteresting place? If you are interested, I will bring you to some exciting place." Liao Yun's eyes were glowing as she said the last sentence, and that scared Mingyue a little.

"Don't bring her to some weird place, please." A young man's voice came from in front of them.

A bare-c.h.e.s.ted young man stood in front of the gate, the only place for the tribesmen to come in and out. It was as if the bare-c.h.e.s.ted young man was waiting for someone.

Humphing, Liao Yun only threw her face to the side, but she kept walking toward the gate.

When Mingyue first arrived here, she didn't look at the gate closely because she was having a fight with Liao An. And after a closer look now, there was some kind of carving on the gate itself. The carving was similar with the three totems at the tribe leader's hut. It had the exquisite carving and looked old.

But even so, the gate still stood tall.

Seeing the interested Mingyue, Liao Yun puffed up her c.h.e.s.t as she explained, "Behold this sight! This is the pride of our Wind Chasing Tribe! When the tribe's ancestor made a choice to make this place as their fixed settlement, this gate was the first to build."

She was very proud of the gate because there was no any visitor ever since she was born in the tribe. She knew all the tribesmen and all the tribesmen knew about the history of the Wind Chasing Tribe. They even had more knowledge than her, thus she couldn't go to show off her minuscule knowledge. Of course, after seeing the mesmerized looks on Mingyue's face, she felt proud.

In the end, she decided to show off her knowledge. And it worked.

"Oh, my. I have been waiting for you since the dawn, but how could you let me wait that long?"

"Humph! You retard Tofu! You should be grateful that I let you join us on this occasion! Not only you didn't feel grateful, but also you are nagging at me?" Liao Yun's mood plummeted as she found Fu Tao was disturbing her good time with Mingyue.

"Sigh. It is your father order to safeguard you during the hunt at the outside. And also, my name is not Tofu, but Fu Tao." The bare-c.h.e.s.ted Fu Tao brought a bow and a handful of arrows. He was prepared to hunt, unlike bare-handed Mingyue and Liao Yun.

"Ah, little Yue, this thing is Tofu. No need to be courteous to him since it is useless. Just think of him as your everyday handyman."

"I told you many times that I am not Tofu. Why didn't you bring your equipment to hunt? Don't tell me that this little ancestor didn't tell you anything." Fu Tao was aghast when he saw the bare-handed Mingyue.

"No need to worry, an additional equipment will only be a burden." Mingyue casually answered, but Liao Yun eagerly nodded her head as if a chick was pecking on grains.

"Yes yes yes, that's right! An additional equipment will be a burden! We are here to hunt, not to bring a burden!" Liao Yun smirked at Fu Tao. She didn't expect that she and Mingyue would hit it off as a fellow accomplice.

Fu Tao twitched his mouth as he saw the pair of the troublemaker. One was enough to make the entire tribe in a headache, how about a pair?

[No no no, I must not let that happen!] Fu Tao immediately shook his head as he could imagine his bleak future.

"Ehem. . . Since both of you didn't bring any equipment, we will hunt something small."

But as Fu Tao said that, he received a despising look from both girl.

[Damn! Whose fault is it? Is it my fate? Even this tiny girl even had the same expression as the little ancestor.] Fu Tao's heart couldn't endure the despising look from both Mingyue and Liao Yun, so he just pretended that he didn't see it.

"Remember, we are here to hunt some game, not killing them. Ah sorry, I mean don't squish the game until it becomes a meat paste. Please." Fu Tao peeked at Liao Yun as he said the end of his sentences, but Liao Yun didn't even listen to anything he had said.

Liao Yun was having fun with Mingyue as she introduced many things about the tribe, especially the tribe's totem.

"Hey, do you know that our tribe not only have one totem? Yes, you are not hearing it wrong, there is more than one!" Liao Yun's eyes were sparkling and she grabbed MIngyue's shoulder as if she wanted to devour Mingyue. Even if Mingyue wanted to run away, she couldn't free herself from Liao Yun's claw.

Seeing that scene, Fu Tao felt dizzy.

[Heck! Aren't the last time the two of you met is akin to a disaster? How can you become so chummy with her???]

[Is this what people say about a 'woman's heart can change in a blink of an eye?']

[Sigh. At least they didn't fight.]

"Do you want to have meat in your meal or no? If you are fine without it, then I will leave now. I can't bear a day without meat." Fu Tao picked up and shouldered his bow, and he walked to the opposite direction of the settlement.

"Hey! You dare to leave me!" Liao Yun was pissed off, but she didn't dare to be left. "Let's go! We cannot afford to be left by him. He is the source of our meat."

Liao Yun clearly wanted to pull Mingyue's hand, but she remembered that Mingyue was depending on the little deer. So she was in a dilemma whether to pull the little deer or pull Mingyue's hand.

Fortunately, Xiao Wu took the initiative to run, but she left Liao Yun behind.

Seeing that she was the only one left behind, Liao Yun immediately chased both of them from behind.

"Damn! Wait for me!"
