Law Of Creation

Chapter 85 - Wind Chasing Tribe's Settlement (Part 2)

"Err. . ."

No one was daring enough to stop their little ancestor, or else they would be the one to be bitten.

Mingyue just stood still as she was tongue-tied.

She didn't understand what happened and the event in front of her.

"Little Yun, did you mis- "

"DAD! You should leave this little girl to me! I will straight her up." Liao Yun stopped Liao An's sentences again, and he focused all of her attention to Mingyue.

Every tribesman tried to give any kind of signal, but Liao Yun didn't even take a glance at them.

"Don't you know that the Resealing Ceremony is an important ritual? Don't you know that we, our tribe have been protecting this place for hundreds of years without anything in return? Even if you are a strayed person, why did you have to disturb the ceremony? Don't you know that the ceremony would need at least a six or seven days? The day that the tribesmen return should be in another three days! Or the fastest one should at least tomorrow when they return!"

Mingyue didn't know how to respond because Liao Yun didn't give her any chance. She only smiled awkwardly as she looked a girl that was older than her, from the girl's appearance of course.

"Do you hear what I just said, little girl? My father and the tribesmen are all soft-hearted, so they will not scold you! A little girl! Don't think that you are only a little girl, so you could shirk away from the responsibility, little girl! Do you hear me, little girl!!!"

[Your word is good, but you are talking to the wrong person! Moreover, aren't you the one usually pampered by the tribe's leader? Even no one of us is daring enough to scold you, you know???]

All the tribesmen wanted to cry after hearing all kind of accusation from Liao Yun. They didn't know whether they should laugh or cry, but since their little goddess didn't say anything, they thought it was fine. But. . .

". . . WHO IS A LITTLE GIRL!" Mingyue fought back, but for a different reason.

[I am having enough with this little little and little! From the first time I am talking with this tribe's leader, he always slipped the 'lit' of little every time he wants to call me. I have endured the whole time!]

[And now, this little brat blatantly calls me little girl? Really? Even I could call your father as a little boy, what right do you have to call me a little girl!!!] Mingyue screamed in her mind

"Yo- YOU ARE CLEARLY A LITTLE GIRL!" Liao Yun stuttered a little and was surprised since this was the first time that someone dared to fight back.

Because she had grown from a pampered environment, no one was daring enough to scold her. Of course, as long as she didn't break the tribe's rules.

"YOU ARE THE LITTLE GIRL! YOUR FATHER IS A LITTLE GIRL!"

[Heck! Why did you have to bring me in this?]

Liao An was baffled, but he didn't dare to stop any of them. On one side was his darling little angel, and the other one was the little goddess.

"YOU! YOU DARE!!!"

"LOOK! YOU ARE THE LITTLE ONE, RIGHT!!!"

"YOU ARE SO CHILDISH! YOU ARE THE LITTLE GIRL!!!"

"NO! YOU ARE THE LITTLE ONE!"

"YOU ARE THE SMALLER ONE!"

"YOU ARE THE SMALLEST ONE!"

"YOU ARE SMALLER THAN A LITTLE CAT!"

"YOU ARE. . . . .

Both Mingyue and Liao Yun ended up word-fighting in front of the gate of the settlement.

Thinking that there would be no big trouble arose from the little squabble, most of the tribesmen dismounted and went inside the settlement.

Already used to the antics of Liao Yun, the tribesmen just left the pair of a little girl having fun as they took care of the wounded.

After having a hard fight, both of them lost their voice and they couldn't continue their bickering anymore.

But unlike their depleted stamina, the fire in both of their eyes lit up brightly.

"You- What is your age?" Liao Yun asked with the hoarse voice. It was the first time that someone dared to fight back and she didn't want to lose. It was all about her pride!

"Humph. . . Don't you know manner? You should tell your age before you ask. . . Little girl." Mingyue didn't fare better than Liao Yun because she almost lost her voice. But even so, she didn't hide her sarcasm behind her word.

"I am clearly an a.d.u.l.t because I am already ten." Liao Yun showed her smug smile as she looked at Mingyue.

Not feeling offended, Mingyue puffed her c.h.e.s.t as she replied, "Oh? Ten? Unfortunately for you. . . This year, I am eleven years old."

[I am not lying, by the end of the year, I will be eleven years old]

Mingyue had an evil smirk inside his mind.

". . . Liar!" Liao Yun wanted to shout again, but her throat was too dry. "You are clearly little-"

[A little girl! Even if someone says that you are seven or eight years old, I will believe it!]

[But for you to be older than me? Impossible!] Liao Yun didn't disguise her gaze as she looked up and down. But no matter what, she couldn't connect the little girl in front of her at the age of eleven.

As Liao Yun wanted to retaliate again, someone coughed from behind.

"Err, it is better if both of you continue it for tomorrow. It is almost evening." Liao An managed to catch the pair of little girl's attention.

Indeed the day almost fell

Earlier, he had to take care of the corroded patient and the wounded while he explained about the possibility to heal the corroded patient.

It was not a short as many didn't believe it. Especially those from the older generation. Thus, he dumped the role to explain everything to Zhuan Lei.

After that, he had to prepare an empty hut because it will be used by the little goddess.

Even after that many things he had to do, Liao An was surprised as their bickering was still on-going.

[Well, at least little Yun have a friend with a similar temper.] Liao An chuckled a little, but he didn't show it in front of the pair of the little girl.

". . . You! We will continue it tomorrow!" Liao Yun humphed as she hugged her father.

"Ah, I think both of you still don't know each other name, right? Miss Yue, this child is my sole daughter, Liao Yun. She is usually called by little Yun."

"Little Yun, meet our saviour. She is Miss Yue-"

"Then I will call you little Yue." And as usual, Liao Yun cut another of Liao An's sentence as she pointed her index finger.

"That's fine. I will just call you little Yun." Mingyue nodded as her confirmation.

Liao An feared that another bickering would start, but fortunately, it didn't happen.

He guided Mingyue and Xiao Wu into the prepared hut. It was not a big one and there were not many things inside the huts. Only a wooden bed, quilt, a table, and there was a fireplace in the middle of the room.

"I am sorry for our bad hospitality-"

"No need to be sorry, there is no need to pamper only one person." Liao Yun glared at Mingyue, but Mingyue didn't bother. She took a few steps inside while brought Xiao Wu inside.

"Ah, it is fine, tribe's leader. As long as the basic necessity could be fulfilled, I am fine." Mingyue smiled while Xiao Wu was wandering around the room as if she was interested in the interior of the room. "And as long as my ride is allowed to come inside, it is perfectly fine." Mingyue showed a brilliant smile which surprised Liao An and Liao Yun.

"Then, I will not impose you any longer." Liao An said his goodbye as he dragged Liao Yun out.

After making sure no one was around, she stretched her body on the hard bed while calling Xiao Jing out.

"Xiao Jing, you can come out now."

"Ah. . . Finally. . ." Xiao Jing immediately jumped into the bed. Even if the bed was only covered with animal's skin, it was better than nothing.

[Sigh. I didn't expect that there is a settlement in this wilderment.]

"Are we staying in this place?" Xiao Wu asked as she joined Xiao Jing on the bed.

"Un. It is a good time. Moreover, I have to help this tribe a little, or else they will be that egg's nourishment."

". . . Is it scary?"

"Those living dead are only the waste product. Useless pawn. No matter how many we slay, nothing will change."

". . . Don't heal them, okay?" Xiao Jing chimed in.

"Don't worry, I am planning to teach them a little. Thus, we will stay here for some time. Maybe a few years?" Mingyue laid down on the hard bed.

"Why? Isn't it better if we go somewhere else? Moreover, I don't like that tribe's leader thing." Xiao Wu unconcealed her hostility as she said that sentence.

Seeming to not care about her hostility, Mingyue just replied, "I think in a few years, my appearance will be different. Isn't it much better than taking care of disguise all time, right?"

Looking at the ashen grey coloured hair, Xiao Wu didn't say anything as she joined Mingyue and Xiao Wu in the bed.

[A few years. Just a few years, and I should be able to go out freely.]

[Mom, Dad, big sis Mei, little dumpling, wait a little longer.]

A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she clenched her fist.

[Until the day I can protect all of you. . .]
