Chapter 84 - Wind Chasing Tribe's Settlement (Part 1)

Day 33rd, the month of the wind, aka autumn.

Wind Chasing Tribe's settlement.

A young woman stood alone. There was nothing unusual in front of the gate.

This gate was the only way in and out toward their settlement. Even though many could just go out from any other direction, it was not allowed for the tribesmen.

Or more exactly, no one would do it.

The gate contained the blessing from their ancestor and the totem, hence all believed they could receive the blessing from the gate. Including her father, the tribe's leader; Liao An.

Thus, it was the best position to wait.

"Hey little Yun, there is no need to be anxious." A hoarse sound came from behind.

". . ."

"Even if you are waiting here, the fastest they will return will be tomorrow afternoon."

". . .Silence, retard Fu Tao."

"Sigh. . ."

[At least it is much better than you create another trouble.] The bare-c.h.e.s.ted Fu Tao sighed as he looked at her desolate back. It was a lonely view even though the settlement was bustling with laugh and smile.

These few days, Fu Tao was in a deep headache.

The tribe's leader's precious daughter, Liao Yun was acting unlike the usual her.

Liao Yun, the only daughter of the tribe's leader. She was the most gifted tribeswoman in the Wind Chasing Tribe because she had triggered the reaction from all three Sacred Totems in the tribe. Bear-Totem, Eagle-Totem, and Swordfish-Totem.

She received a multiple Blessing of the Totem, and she was the first one after her father, Liao An had received a multiple Blessing of the Totem in his youthful day.

Even though Liao An could only receive the acknowledgement from two Sacred Totems, he was known as the youngest Warrior Summoner. If Liao An's talent was that huge, then how about the person with acknowledgement from three Sacred Totems? No one knew yet.

She became the most well-known person in the tribe.

No, not because of the gift of her multiple blessing, but for another reason.

In a good word, she was an adventurous child. She was interested in many things. But making it a simple word, she was a troublemaker.

Ever since the death of her mother, her father always pampered her anywhere and anytime.

Even though there were no rules that forbid a man to have more than one spouse, the tribe's leader never marry anyone else. He was a faithful man.

But in exchange of her wife, he poured all of his love into his only daughter. As long as her daughter didn't violate any tribe's rules, no matter what happened, he would never get angry at her.

And that was the reason why Liao Yun became rampant most of the time. Moreover, no one dared to offend the future Warrior Summoner.

Thus, she was nicknamed 'Little Ancestor'.

No one dared to inconvenience her, no one wished to have a conflict with her.

Even though Liao Yun was a troublemaker, there was once where she stayed silent. Everything was calm, in silence.

She didn't make any trouble and rarely went out of her hut. Many feared that she was sick or ran away from the tribe, but she was at her hut. She almost never left.

That was the story of six years ago, the Resealing Ceremony last time.

Resealing Ceremony was an important event for the tribe.

Many tribesmen, especially the warrior of the tribe would go for a few days. They were all prepared for a war! For a battlefield!

At that time, he himself didn't understand the danger. He thought that it was no different from any other ceremony, and Liao Yun thought the same.

But different from other people, it was the first time that Liao Yun didn't see her father for a few days.

It was an important ceremony, thus it was not weird for the tribe's leader to participate. No, it was weird if the tribe's leader didn't participate at all.

Liao Yun was alone, she was left alone. She was not close to anyone because of her temper. She closed up to her own hut.

The Resealing Ceremony usually took a few days. But if Fu Tao said the longest duration, it was ten days. No more.

And at the ninth day, the tribesmen that were participating in the Resealing Ceremony returned. The tribe was filled with happiness.

And within the good news, there would be a bad news for sure.

The wounded couldn't be hidden from any other people, thus scaring the young. Included the little Liao Yun.

The paled face Liao Yun hugged Liao An without any word.

But Fu Tao could see it from far. Uncertainness, fear, unwillingness, and also her fragileness. All of it was shown.

[Ah. So she is like that.] That was what Fu Tao thought when he saw her tears, her longing.

[She is not a talented girl, not a daughter of the tribe's leader, or even a little ancestor. She is only a little girl, a lone little girl.]

And he didn't know what tugged his c.h.e.s.t, Fu Tao swore to protect the little girl in front of him.

A sound of the horse galloping in the middle of woods gradually became clear and louder.

Liao Yun thought of it as her hallucination.

[No, I must not become excited. It is not sure that it was real and not my imagination.] Liao Yun tried to keep her calm mind, but she cannot.

But that sound didn't disappear as she could see dust was flying around from inside the forest, and gradually, she could see a few figures in the middle of the woods.

[Wha- What? Have they returned? Isn't the shortest ceremony at least until tomorrow? Is there something bad happened?] Liao Yun was surprised and felt happy at first, but she immediately thought the worst case scenario.

[The ceremony failed? Some problems? Or did they leave something behind?]

"Why are your expression sour like that? Don't you feel happy that they have returned?" Fu Tao asked as he realized the weird expression on her face.

". . . Too soon. It's weird. . ."

Not waiting for her to sort her mind, the tribesmen that went to the Resealing Ceremony almost arrived at the gate.

From her position in front of the gate, Liao Yun could see him clearly.

[Dad!] Her heart felt warm as she sighed a relief looking at the non-wounded man in the front.

But as she wanted to run to jump on her father's side, she froze when she saw something foreign.

[A little girl. . .]

[Don't tell me. . .] A vein bulged on her forehead.

"Is that place is your settlement?" Mingyue pointed her index finger forward.

Her complexion was getting better after she rested her body long enough.

The tribesmen, included Liao An, were surprised that Mingyue never dismounted the weird-shaped white horse aka Xiao Wu. But no one dared to ask the question, saving Mingyue for another random lie.

"Yes, all of our family live in there." Nodding his head, Liao An showed his brilliant smile, but Mingyue wasn't interested.

"Ah, your tribe's place is indeed a good place." Mingyue nodded her head as she looked at the settlement in front of her.

It was a wide place with many kinds of a small hut made of woods. She could clearly see a big tribe settlement.

But the settlement was divided with the thick forest with only a bunch of crude fences.

It was really a tribal settlement.

"Yeah. In the past, we had moved around to settle, and in the end, our ancestor picked this place. Ever since then, this place becomes our tribe's settlement."

"Moved around? So this place is originally an unoccupied place?"

Zhuan Lei chimed in from the side. "Yeah, more or less. The forest around us has no other people other than us, ha ha ha. Our tribe originally was a wandering tribe, and our ancestor found this place by accident. The main reason is what you have seen before. Resealing that crack in six years or less."

"Ooh, so dedicated?"

"Yeah. That is our main reason. Before the meeting with you, our tribe would always- eh. . . Cut our limbs." Zhuan Lei was a little embarrassed as he scratched the back of his head.

"It's better than before, right? At least in this way, there will be no more wasted sacrifice because of corrosion."

"Ah, I feel bad for lit- Miss Yue. Even though we are graced by your visitation, we didn't know whether it will be suitable to your taste."

"Nah, it is fine. As long as there is a place to sleep and food, then it is fine." Mingyue waved her hand casually, but Liao An felt a huge burden was released from his shoulder.

"Oh? Someone come?"

A young woman with a fair skin ran to their direction. The girl wore simple clothing made from animal's skin with a short skirt. She had a long hair and had a beautiful feature, even though she ran with all her strength. Mingyue could see a strong gaze from the girl.

[Is it just my feeling?]

"That is my daughter. I am sorry to show you such an embarrassing thing." Liao An coughed a little to disguise his embarrassment and his expression became kinder and milder as he looked at his daughter.

Liao An stopped his horse and jumped down from his horse to receive his beloved daughter. He opened his arms wide.

"Little Yun. Did you-"

The opposite of Liao An's anticipation, Liao Yun stopped in front of Mingyue and Xiao Wu as she berated Mingyue.

"Heck! You little troublemakers! Did you not realize what you have done !!!"
