[. . . What is happening. . .] Mingyue was surprised as something bizarre happened.

Her unmoving sea of consciousness jerked a little. It had a reaction, and it was not a small one. She felt like the whole of her sea of consciousness was in a tremor and gradually become stronger as the time passed by.

It was very unusual since a mortal's sea of consciousness was no different from a shallow puddle.

If a shallow puddle could only have a small ripple on it, then what Mingyue's sea of consciousness experienced was akin to a little hurricane in the middle of a little lake as the water in the lakes would be bombarded.

It was a dangerous situation for Mingyue's sea of consciousness as it was possible to hurts Xiao Jing.

As Mingyue was confused about what happened to her sea of consciousness, she felt something warm came into her sea of consciousness. Her sea of consciousness suddenly changed from the watery state into something more solid as her sea of consciousness grew.

In the middle of Mingyue's bewilderment, the black and white fog around her sea of consciousness also trembled as it was getting denser.

The fog tightened itself around Mingyue's sea of consciousness as Mingyue's consciousness became stronger as the time flew by.

Mingyue felt something weird, something foreign and the thing she didn't know. But the weird thing was she felt comfortable with everything.

She was covered with the black and white fog, no, it was not a fog anymore. Black and white cloud.

She felt the warmth, soft feeling and something similar to excitement also happiness.

It was like she had returned to her home.

Mingyue could feel her hand, her foot, her breath, her vision, everything as if she had another reborn.

All of this was happening all of sudden, catching Mingyue off guard. She didn't understand anything, she didn't know what had happened.

What Mingyue experienced happened in a flash of a moment.

And at the present times, she could feel that she gained some vision. It was still blurry, but she gained a vision for sure.

In front of Mingyue was an incoming shark-shaped Demonic Beast. It rushed forward as if she was its aim or destination.

Mingyue was surprised, but she kept her clarity as she tried to avoid the rushing shark-shaped Demonic Beast. It was a close call, but Mingyue was able to avoid it.

[How can I move like that?] Mingyue was surprised by her body's reflex as she remembered her weak body.

[Eh? Am I not in Xiao Jing's body? Since when my sea of consciousness returns? How can this be?]

As the rushing shark-shaped Demonic Beast missed its target, it hit the wall behind Mingyue's position.

Because the Demonic Beast was using all of its strength and its speed, it was able to destroy many things along the way and in the end, it was stuck in the wall. More than half of its body was buried and the other half was covered by the rubbles and cloud of dust.

Even if all the wall in this place was infused with Spatial Interference, a raw strength still could destroy the wall like what the shark-shaped Demonic Beast doing. And thanks to the Spatial Interference, the shark-shaped Demonic Beast was stuck for a while.

As Mingyue checked her whole body, she was frozen on the spot.

She looked at her hand, a thin and soft white hand like a new-born baby's skin. Each of her fingers was slender and frail from the appearance.

Her height was also different as she looked at her long and slender leg. And her c.h.e.s.t also bigger.

She also realized that her hair grown until her waist.

She was surprised, very surprised! It was not because of her body growth, and not because of her nude situation.

She felt familiar!

". . . Yueyue, is that you?" Xiao Jing's voice was resounded in Mingyue's mind.

"Xiao Jing! Where are you! Are you okay!" Mingyue had a pleasant mood as she heard the voice of Xiao Jing, but she prioritized Xiao Jing's safety first. She had to make sure that Xiao Jing was fine.

[I don't know what happen to me, especially this body. But I should be able to protect Xiao Jing and Xiao Wu.] Mingyue clenched her fist as she made up her mind.

All this time, she always depended on the two of them.

Even if it was not wrong, deep in Mingyue's heart there was a stuffy feeling for depending on Xiao Wu and Xiao Jing.

Mingyue understood that it was not wrong, but if she had the choice to choose, she would choose to fight alongside them.

"Why? Make it fast before the Demonic Beast freed itself!" Mingyue got impatient by Xiao Jing's indecisiveness and slow thinking. It was the unusual Xiao Jing she knew.

[Is it really the Xiao Jing I know? It is not fake, right?] Mingyue wondered in her mind.

". . . You are taking over my body, you know?" Xiao Jing gave the answer to Mingyue.

". . . What?" Mingyue was puzzled by what Xiao Jing wanted to say, but an absurd idea flashed in her mind.

But before Mingyue could think about that absurd idea, the shark-shaped Demonic Beast didn't give them any chance to converse anymore.

Looking at the incoming shark-shaped Demonic Beast, Mingyue kept her calm as she got used to the current body she used.

She flowed a small amount of Elemental as the spiritual qi's substitute. She activated the whole meridian system in the body as she moved a little to the left.

The shark-shaped Demonic Beast had learnt the earlier lesson so it was able to manoeuvre after a charge and changed its direction back.

Its movement was rough, but it was not stuck like earlier and charged back at Mingyue.

With each charge, Mingyue didn't break a sweat to evade. And with each of her evasion, Mingyue began to remember the sensation of her previous body.

[Even though this body is devoid of spiritual qi, this body is made of a condensed Elemental.]

[Looks like what Xiao Jing said earlier is right. Currently, I am in Xiao Jing's body that is in the Moon God Transformation, and it would explain the massive amount of Elemental in this body.]

[If this body is Xiao Jing's body, then where is mine?] Mingyue was puzzled, but she was forced to fight head-on with the Demonic Beast.

The shark-shaped Demonic Beast movement became agiler and its attack was more ferocious than before as it was getting more and more desperate.

As Mingyue was used with Xiao Jing's current body, she was able to do counterattack every time the shark-shaped Demonic Beast pounced.

Not only that but also now Mingyue didn't have to stay in the passive position as she could take initiative. But she must be careful in case her small loli body was nearby.

Mingyue began to observe the shark-shaped Demonic Beast body and she found a huge amount of miasma inside.

"Xiao Jing, watch and learn" Mingyue just told Xiao Jing to watch everything she did in this fight.

This fight was her debut, her first real fight in this world.

Mingyue didn't hesitate as she circulated the Elemental in the whole body. She observed the incoming shark-shaped Demonic Beast without any hint of emotion.

She was calm as her previous cold nature began to show up. It was related to her habit, and also she could unleash all of her pent-up emotion.

The shark-shaped Demonic Beast rammed at Mingyue, but her movement was much faster than her previous speed. She leapt upward as she opened her hands left and right. Her movement was simple and without any superfluous gesture.

She smirked up a little but her cold nature didn't change.

If the shark-shaped Demonic Beast could learn from its mistake once, then there were the second and third times.

As Mingyue avoided the shark-shaped Demonic Beast, its tail was swung upward toward Mingyue's position.

[Don't be full of yourself.] A cold glint flashed Mingyue's eyes as the Elemental on her pair of hands were hardened.

Using her left hand to touch the shark-shaped Demonic Beast, Mingyue used her left hand as a pivot to swing her body to another position. The swung tail missed its target, but Mingyue's retaliation awaited.

With her right hand, she slashed a part of its tail, making a wide wound.

A burst of miasma was released as the shark-shaped Demonic Beast was wounded.

[Unexpectedly it is easier than what I thought. If a simple slash is enough to cut open its skin, then this Demonic Beast should not be a high tier one.] Mingyue was surprised that her little retaliation could deal a wide wound. Even if it was not deep enough, a wound was a wound.

Even though it was only her hand that was hardened with Elemental, it was enough to give some scar on the shark-shaped Demonic Beast body.

"This is the Human-tier movement technique of the Nine World Celestial Step. It only consists of the basic movement, but it is vastly different from what you and Xiao Wu demonstrated. Remember it in your mind, these three steps are only the foundation of the movement so there is no need to expend too much Elemental in these steps. But it was different if it was the last stage of the movement technique, for example, this. Shadow Form." Mingyue explained to Xiao Jing as her body suddenly blurred and only leaving an undetected shadow.

Mingyue was just playing around the Demonic Beast as she was only circling it around with the Shadow Form. She was not just moving around but dancing around the Demonic Beast with a different kind of movement.

Mingyue's movement was so fluid that even Xiao Jing was dazed by the scene before her.

It was not like she fought, but Mingyue was dancing with her enemy.

"Remember it, the three steps, Shadow Step, Frost Step, and Clear Step are only foundation. The more you are proficient in these movement techniques, everything else would be in your grasp. Even your average movement would have its own charm. No matter what, speed is the absolute strength. But without the suitable movement technique, your speed would only become your burden."

The shark-shaped Demonic Beast began to thrash around as it was not capable to intercept Mingyue at all.

Realizing that the little pipsqueak was too hard to catch, it was moving in the random direction as its desperate action.

[Let's just finish this fight.] Mingyue was worried about her original body, so she wanted to finish the fight now.

"Xiao Jing, look closely. Now what I am going to demonstrate is one of the Earth-tier Movement techniques from the Nine World Celestial Step, Lightning Step." Mingyue warned Xiao Jing as she condensed more Elemental in her whole body.

Unlike before, Mingyue's right hand didn't change as the Elemental was condensed in the form of her right hand. It was as if her right hand would become as hard as possible.

In a flash, Mingyue was already on the other side of the thrashing Demonic Beast.

The Demonic Beast didn't move as its wailing stopped.

Its big body fell into the floor. Gradually, a straight black line appeared on the shark-shaped Demonic Beast as its body was split into left and right.

The miasma from the shark-shaped Demonic Beast's body suddenly emerged and similar to a small bomb, it filled the water surroundings and painted with black.

A few hours had passed since the shark-shaped Demonic Beast was split into two. With the priority to go out of the underwater ruins, Mingyue didn't spare any effort to move forward.

Even though she didn't know her location, by going in one straight direction, at least she could reach somewhere. As she moved, Mingyue didn't see any other Demonic Beast around. And it was a pleasant surprise for Mingyue.

Looking back, she didn't found the miasma as it needed some time before reached her position.

Even though Mingyue could just purify the miasma, she couldn't risk her original loli body to stay nearby the miasma.

Between the two choices, she chose the obvious.

After a few hours running underwater non-stop, Mingyue could see the surface. In a happy mood, she increased her speed until she went out of the water. And another surprise, she was in the middle of the jungle.

But rather than enjoying the scene on the surroundings, Mingyue dashed forward to create some hidden place as it grabbed some food around the forest.

There were a lot of things to do, but the first thing she needed was hiding place with some food supply.

She had to find out about what happened to her and Xiao Jing.
