Kingdom Of The Moonlight Rose

Chapter 19 - A Dream is Shared, Setting Out!

"I, Lazarus Oak, am a former shield of the King."

Eden and Adaris were shocked upon hearing those words. Today has come with so many surprises.

King Ash had five personnel that operated under him working in the shadows. You didn't know who they were, but you knew of them. They did all the King's dirty work for him besides providing protection. Many uprisings, although with no proof, were quelled due to their quick attempts of assassination. These individuals were called the five shields of King Ash. They would serve King Ash for twenty years and then retire constantly being shuffled out.

"Alas, I have long since retired and a new shield has stood up." sighed Headmaster Oak. "Before retiring, I had a conversation with the King and he asked me what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I simply said I wanted to pass on knowledge to the next generation. And thus he gave me an academy license. And thus here we are."

Things started to click a bit for Eden, that Headmaster Oak could potentially be one of the strongest individuals in the kingdom if he had to protect the King on a daily basis. Headmaster Oak was a man of big dreams. That he wanted to create one of the greatest academies in the kingdom.

"Keep in mind, that after being a Shield for so long, I always have had the interest of the kingdom at heart and my goal to establish an Academy as a superpower is one of my greatest goals. I want to disrupt the four Kings. Prontera, Viridian, Thauvin, and Tempest, next year a new King shall be crowned." exclaimed Headmaster Oak.

Headmaster Oak clapped his hands and turned towards Ignis and pulled out a map and a parchment of paper, "We need you all to be stronger, I will now fill you in on the next steps. Ignis, I will train your daughter and Eden as we head to Crux City. Ignis you have three months, please journey to pick up the other two students I have selected. Their names are on this list. Meet us at Crux City afterwards we will be spending several months there.

Headmaster Oak handed the paper and map to Ignis. "This... how did you find so many prospects that haven't been taken away by the other academies?". questioned Ignis.

"Ezel the examiner is a good friend of mine, and one who knows my past. This friendship brings me many benefits haha" chuckled Ignis.

"If we raise these kids to a good enough standing, they will be able to make waves during the rookie tournament of the academy. Now all we need is to find one more promising youngster to complete our five" replied Ignis.

The academy tournaments consisted of one on one competitions as well as a group battle. It is imperative that each school have at least five members to be in order to participate.

"I have a plan in the works... I hope" smiled Headmaster Oak.

-------

Adara was sitting legs crossed within the forest meditating. The fire element was slowly gathering and and being concentrated on a necklace she was wearing. The ruby necklace was given to her by Headmaster Oak. Her recent loss to Eden affected her arrogant mindset.

"Anyone regardless of strength can always end up on the losing side my child... Keep that in mind," instructed Ignis before he left.

Adara squeezed her hand. 'I must never get too proud!'

------

"Mr. Marth, here are the figurines that you requested."

Eden went back to the Grisebach family to meet up with Marth. He wanted to provide Marth with the figurines that he was making.

"No need to call me Mister young Eden, just Marth will do, we are business partners. We plan to submit these into an Auction at Crux City in a three months for them to be sold. If you are in Crux City, please look for the Grisebach Auction House located at the city square. We will work to provide you with the appropriate accommodations and you can watch your sculptures be auctioned in private. These sculptures will be sold under the moniker of The Moonlight Rose Sculptor." replied Marth.

Eden provided Marth with several different animal sculptures that were of exceeding great quality. His proficiency and talent displaying itself ever more every single day.

"Thank you, If I could trouble you, could you also assist me in sending a letter and some items to Elkwood Village?" asked Eden.

"I will send a messenger."

'Hmm... Adara's style of fighting looks to maximize her output and deal the most violent amount of damage at once. Eden prefers to strategically strike at his opponent and is always thinking a few steps in advance, what a shame that Eden's moonlight element isn't particularly strong during the day time.'

Headmaster Oak was lost in thought as he pondered the growth of his pupils and what direction to advance them in and what strategic fits he could use them in.

'The other two are water elementalists. How should I best use them... Then the last one I do not have any control of, I should be happy if we can find one young elementalist to complete our five. I shall worry about strategy then!'

Headmaster Oak sighed. It was rare to find an elementalist that another school hasn't picked up. Headmaster Oak understood that he was lucky that Ezel informed of these two elementalists privately but even his actions were monitored. Ezel could be charged with a crime if he withheld information from the Rivenhart Kingdom. All Ezel could do for Headmaster Oak was provide these two elementalists at the most. Worst case scenario, they will have to wait another year before participating if they wanted to find another elementalist.

------

"Eden, Adara, I hope you have wrapped up anything you may need to do here at the Border Town. The next few months before we meet up with Ignis will be tough. However, they will bring us great rewards and growth. Adara, you are farther along than Eden and are already knocking on the door to becoming a full fledged circle elementalist. I expect you will soon hit that." instructed Headmaster Oak.

"Eden, you are closing in on the intermediate level of the foundational stages. You are rapidly progressing and I can envision you beating our projected schedule of a year to reach the elementalist stage by a wide margin. Continue to train hard." continued Headmaster Oak.

Eden and Adara both nodded, they understood the end goal, and that by succeeding not only will they be helping Headmaster Oak accomplish a dream, but they too will also be put in a better place to succeed.

"We are heading out! Next destination Crux City!"
