No Matter What You Look Like (10)

She opened her mouth without turning her eyes from out of the window.

“Do prepare the tea that you’ve brought over to the table. I’d like to have a drink by the window.”

“I understand.”

“……!”

Roelin turned her head in surprise at the unexpected answer. Kergel was already standing by the door in his comfortable clothes while smiling widely. And she could see that Silloa was biting her lips to hold back her laughter as she was right behind him.

“Kergel.”

She looked at him with her face all dyed red. Kergel smiled quietly at Roelin, who had become so embarrassed, before he climbed up to the bed and hugged her lightly. Then, he proceeded to the table right by the window.

Meanwhile, Silloa had the tea prepared on the table and quickly brought over a shawl. It was to drape it over Roelin’s shoulder.

“Uh…”

However, Silloa could only hold the shawl that she had brought in with her with both hands as she could not readily hand it over to Roelin at that moment.

The Emperor and Empress, whom she thought would definitely sit face to face, were not seated in that manner since both of them had taken a seat together on a single chair instead.

Of course, it was only Kergel’s own unilateral decision.

“Kergel! Put me down! Come on!”

Roelin was seated on Kergel’s thigh and when her eyes met with Silloa’s, she started scrambling to get out of his arms. But Kergel simply embraced her even more tightly and opened his mouth calmly.

“Stay still, Roelin. What if you get hurt again?”

“That’s why, please put me back quickly. I’m going back to my seat.”

“This is your seat. Are you sure you want to abandon me?”

“Trying to abandon—what kind of nonsense……”

She just said that she would be going to the opposite seat, but was that something to be told as if she were to abandon him? Roelin’s jaw instantly dropped in bewilderment. When Kergel saw the whole episode, he laughed mischievously and opened his mouth yet again.

“You are going to abandon me. You’re trying to get out of my arms. So—that shawl, give it here.”

He brilliantly replied to Roelin’s words and held her tightly with one hand before holding out his other hand to Silloa. Then, Silloa, who was already at a loss before she tried to regain her senses once again, promptly handed him the said shawl.

He immediately draped the shawl around Roelin’s body. Then, he opened his mouth to Silloa one more time.

“Now that you’re already done here, you may go now.”

“Um, but the tea……”

Silloa made a puzzled expression and brought it up again. Then, Kergel simply continued while adjusting the shawl over Roelin’s shoulder even more carefully.

“I will take care of the Empress’s tea.”

“……what?”

“What?”

When they heard his words, the same word burst out from Silloa and Roelin’s mouths all at the very same time. But he simply said something casual to Roelin in response.

“What’s wrong? You didn’t like my hospitality then? I thought that I did quite well in my own way. Especially back in the carriage……”

“All right, stop talking!”

At this rate, she thought that she would lose face to the Emperor right in front of her own maid. Roelin hastily interrupted him and told Silloa that she could leave at that instant.

Then, Silloa moved her eyes as she looked slowly at Roelin and Kergel before her face turned incredibly red all of a sudden due to her own current thoughts. Then, before Roelin could even have the time to speak to her again, Silloa had already walked out of the bedroom.

“……my God.”

It was absolutely scary to picture how the imagination had unfolded inside her maid’s head. Roelin shook her head and pouted her lips before she lightly hit Kergel’s chest in response.

“What’s with all of this in front of the maid? You are going to lose your prestige as the Emperor like that.”

“I’m not here with you as the Emperor right now. I’m only here as your husband.”

“Still…”

“Besides, my prestige wouldn’t drop much, right? Do I look that easy to you?”

“It actually looks so easy.”

She gave him another slap on the chest with a sharp look. But Kergel didn’t care at all as he giggled like a mischievous boy before he slowly poured her some tea with her figure still in his arms.

The scent of the fragrant tea soon touched upon her nose. He picked up the teacup and brought it near to her lips.

“Have a drink.”

“I’ll have some.”

Roelin eventually reached for the cup. Then, Kergel quickly lifted the teacup far enough for it to not have been able to reach her and laughed like a naughty boy. As she realized that she couldn’t unravel his stubbornness, Roelin chuckled in despair and grumbled.

“I’m not a child……”

“You’d be in very big trouble if you were actually a kid.”

He opened his mouth while drawing the teacup back to her lips. Right after Roelin took a sip of the tea, she looked back at him with her pair of quizzical eyes.

“And if I were a child, I wouldn’t even dream of all of this.”

Kergel smiled softly in response to Roelin’s eyes and kissed her. Roelin opened her eyes wide in surprise at the sudden kiss. Nevertheless, she had no other choice but to close her eyes immediately.

It was because of the kiss that soon followed.

Deeper and even more intense.

Thud.

Roelin clung onto his neck as she heard the teacup being placed down. Then, Kergel also hugged her in his arms before he embraced her with more strength.

And their kisses continued for a while.

Due to that reason, Lucy couldn’t even enter the bedroom at all as she was forced to hang around outside for such a long time.
