You have to know that heroic talents were something even Lucius would have to kill for one simple reason.

Although the system store sold heroic grade talents with the price tags they put on them, they may not even sell them at all!

By the time he earned enough live points to buy a heroic grade talent, he would be retired with a group of fully down kids!

Now because of this seemingly lacklustre [Ultimate fire resistance] talent, Lucius's plans had changed!

At the very least, before the end of the first year, Lucius wanted to have a heroic grade talent of his own!

But even if his road in the future was planned out, Lucius still had to think about the present.

Since the talent copy card could give him an immediate power boost Lucius could only rely on the system store

Thinking like this, Lucius looked at his count of Love Points and smiled

Name: Lucius Vexx

Love points:  5300

This was the accumulation of his constant flirting with heroines.

His first time experience with Camilla and the mission reward bonus for Veronica.

Lucius looked up the system store, and he had already planned the talent he would buy

Talent:

[Sword Expert] (Blue) - 5000 LP

[Description- you are considered a little genius in the way of the sword. With enough practice, it won't be long before you can wield the sword as freely as you would your arms. Although you won't be considered a once in a generation talent, it is definitely enough to make a name for yourself.]

Lucius had already determined that one of the quickest ways to boost his strength would be to solidify and improve his swordsmanship.

So buying a sword talent was the obvious choice. He didn't choose a blue-grade talent for any particular reason. Lucius just bought the best he could afford.

As soon as Lucius bought the talent, his body was overwhelmed with the same warm and fuzzy feeling he had when he used the talent copy card, showing that new talent was being installed inside of his body and maybe even going as deep as to reach his soul.

But this time the experience was slightly different since, as the process continued on, Lucius could feel a new sensation building up inside him

At first it was just a slight tickle but now it turned into an unbearable itch

Something in his body, something in his soul was calling out to him!

Lucius didn't hunk too much and just followed his instincts and before he even realised it, Lucius had picked up a wooden sword and started practising his swordsmanship.

Lucius carefully and gracefully performed the Sanctuary sword style he had practised many times by now.

The sword in his hand flowed smoothly as he performed the sword routine in memory, but Lucius could instantly feel the difference.

Without even realising it, Lucius already had ideas and a faint feeling on new moves to try as his Indy was subconsciously adjusting itself to make the movements more refined and smooth.

For comparison, it would be like trying to do a complicated maths equation by hand and the other one was using a calculator!

The ease and smoothness of the operation between the two were simply incomparable.

Lucius remained in this state, desperately practising his sword techniques until he just stopped.

It was at this point Lucius knew he reached his limit.

It wasn't that he couldn't practise and improve his sword technique any longer it just meant that it wouldn't be as magical and as quick as it was now.

For more improvements, he would simply have to practise hardby himself.

But even now, the improvements he had gained could be said to be magical.

'If just a blue grade talent is so magical, then what about purple grade? What about the golden grade? Fuck! What about those heroic grade monsters!"

Lucius even went a little pale thinking about it.

You never realise how ridiculous such a thing like talent can be until you experience it yourself.

Lucius clenched his fist.

After experiencing such a magical thing his desire for stength and even stronger talents was overwhelming at this stage.

Now it seems like his plan would have to be implemented sooner rather than later.

Since he didn't get the [Fire Caller] Talent and his plan for the [Ultimate Fire Resistance] Talent would be some time off, the only thing he could only rely on now was steal the protagonists chance and acquire one of his many broken talents

…..

A Few days passed since Lucius's encounter with Xander and the confirmation of the duel between him and Louis and by now the rumours of the duel had spread wildly throughout the academy.

Duels would always be able to arouse the interest of people in the academy, but this one seemed to draw more attention than usual.

Obviously, a fabled green-haired guy was fanning the flames behind the scene.

Since Lucius had humiliated so badly the last few times they met, Xander would not miss his chance to brutally humiliate Lucius in front of as many people as possible.

Lucius didn't care too much. If anything, things were better this way

At least the rumours of the duel had overwhelmed the outlandish rumours about him floating around

The more he thought about those crazy rumours, the more he wanted to rearrange that bastard Xander's face!

Lucius took a deep breath and adjusted himself.

Right now, he couldn't be too agitated. He needs to be calm.

Right now, Lucius was standing in front of the academy gates.

He was no longer in his crisp white Sanctuary uniform but instead wore a more plain set of clothes not too dissimilar to those worn by adventurers.

At his waist hung a refined steel sword.

He bought this using the privileges granted to him for being a student in Sanctuary, and it was definitely worth the money.

Other than the fact that it was lacking in the area of magical enchantments and abilities, this was a top grade sword that could get the envy of many  adventurers.
