Whilst Camilla was ensuring she could complete the task Lucius assigned, Reina was reeling in shock!

This… how did Lucius know all this?

This was still about her ancestral treasure, and yet he knew more than her.

Reina felt a little cold and couldn't help but feel a little small in front of Lucius's seemingly all-knowing knowledge. It's like she couldn't hide any secrets in front of him.

But after fearing for a while, Reina quickly calmed down and even became a little joyful.

This was her man!

Thinking about it like this, the more excellent and powerful he seemed, the better for her!

Fortunately, she didn't hesitate to join Lucius and hop in his pirate ship or with the wealth of knowledge he showed, her ending wouldn't be a good one.

She wasn't the only one shocked by this news, even Camilla was left a little speechless by this news, but she quickly managed to surpass it.

After all in her mind, Lucius was already a near godlike figure. This combined with the fact that he was still the head of a major organisation like the revolutionary army, didn't make it too hard for him to obtain knowledge that even she as his personal secretary would be oblivious to.

Lucius brought a fine sharp silver needle and pierced it into Reina's finger, causing a few drops of blood to fall from her finger onto the bronze amulet.

The second this happened, Camilla did what Lucius had instructed and filled the amulet with her mana.

Under the induction of the strange amulet, the mana began to blend with the drips of blood. After this happened, the mana was quickly absorbed back into the amulet.

Now came the tricky part.

Camilla frowned slightly as her concentration was pushed to the limit.

Under her careful control, the mana inside the treasure flowed smoothly, sticking closely into the guided path, breaking barrier after barrier as the amulet neared its fully unlocked state.

The seconds passed in and Camilla's expression grew more difficult as the sweat started to pile up on her forehead before eventually she

She showed the amulet with a smile on her face

"Done." Said Camilla weakly

Looking at this, Lucius was both happy and sad.

It could be seen that this process had greatly exhausted Camilla's mental energy.

Fortunately it was nothing too serious. After some short treatment she should be fine, but it could be seen that this was not as easy a process as Lucius originally thought.

Even With Camilla's expert mana control and training she still cut it close and nearly failed at the end.

For an apprentice mage, it would not be too hard to do this since instead of training their bodies, in addition to mana, they focus on training their mental power to create more and more complicated spell models in their minds. But this was all for mage, for a fighter this was still extremely difficult to accomplish.

At first Lucius had thought that the amulet faded into obscurity because of the inadequacies of the barbarian descendants but now it was clear it was the high king at fault the entire time!

There was clearly something wrong with his head!

With a bunch of muscle brains like barbarians, where the hell was he expecting them to get the ability to show such masterful control and mental power?

Only professionals nearing the level mages can show such control and a barbarian Mage was rare as a flying pig!

Their few spellcasters were warlocks who used simple and crude manipulation of wild elements through rituals, rather than intricate spell models like traditional mages

This barbarian high king was simply expecting too much from his descendants!

Even a talent like Camilla nearly failed. If a barbarian of the same rank tried it, even if they trained their entire life, they still might not be able to do it!

In simpler terms, this was like setting the exam for a fish to complete a 100 metre sprint on land!

It was just ridiculous!

Lucius just shook his head at the High King's requirements and patted Camilla on the shoulder, thanking her again.

Lucius didn't hesitate to put the amulet on his body and instantly smiled as he felt the strength of his body gradually increasing.

Lucius even felt like he had passed through a small barrier.

He instantly knew that this was the barrier between regular people and 3rd class fighters.

Since Lucius relied on magic equipment to move past the barrier, it couldn't be said that he truly broke it.

Even as he ascended the gap, he could feel a small layer of restrictions staying on his body like a layer of cling film that threatened to throw him back behind the barrier at any time.

As long as Lucius took off the amulet, he would go back below the realm of 3rd class instantly.

But even with this, Lucius was still satisfied and couldn't hide the smile on his face.

Seeing Lucius smiling like that, Reina instinctively knew that Lucius had gotten what he truly came here for so she moved closer to him and couldn't help hit ask

"Leaving?"

"Yes." Replied Lucius plainly, not hiding anything from her.

"Since I've gotten what I came for, I can't stay too long. We still have to go to the academy and complete the entrance process."

Although he knew that Reina would never admit it. When she heard Lucius's words, there was a small pout on her lips.

Lucius just chuckled lightly, finding it a little cute. Besides, he would never miss an opportunity to farm some love points.

Wrapping his arm around her waist, he slowly brought Reina into his embrace as he whispered in her ears.

"This won't be the last time we meet anyway. You still have things to do for me in the capital. Once you've done a few things and laid down the foundations, a few of my people will come down and join you."
