Going Through The World Of Danmachi With A Summoner System

Hephaestus took me to the part of town where her familia resides and asks another member if I could stay the night since it's late and she still needs to file paperwork for me to have my own house to stay in. He agrees and welcomes me in and shows me to his couch and tells me to get ready since I will be going through a few tests tomorrow to see where I fit in the familia, either a gatherer or a smith. There's even the chance I could be both, which is referred to as a self sufficient smith. I thank him for the information and place to stay and he simply shrugged it off and says it's no big deal since this happens occasionally, I asked what year it was and I found out it's the month before Bell joins the Hestia Familia, and SS has plans for me again…

Huh, okay this gives me a excuse to be at the dungeon in a month so that I can save Bell. Even though he was very dense I actually really liked the guy. I'll save him since I wanted to be friends with him anyway. This will help me a lot and I'll be able to help Bell somewhat on his path to becoming an adventurer.

The next day I wake up and the guy whose place I'm staying at wakes me up and says that if I want to take the tests that I need to hurry. I follow his idea trying to use my 5* summon which turns out to be locked until I reach level 7 so that I can properly control it and it doesn't kill me. Oh well, I get dressed and rush out the door so that I can get to the building in time to take my tests.

I am met by quite a few of the members who are excited to see a new member who was specifically hired by their goddess. They bring me to a room with multiple metals, minerals, and hammers and anvils. I start by gathering a few iron and copper ingots and use the copper to make the guard and handle, while using the iron for the blade. The judge who appears to be a middle aged man appraises it and says that it's decent but needs work, but I pass.

He then leads me to room with a few training dummies and asks me to demonstrate my skills. I summon my kitsune, golem, Phoenix, and a goblin that I give the sword I made. They all attack the dummies. Kelly just blew it away with wind magic while also shredding it apart. Gil just punched it and it exploded into straw. Fera melted it while Goby just sliced it apart. The judge stares and declared me a self sufficient smith. He then gives me a task to make a hundred of the swords I made to practice my smithing. SS also made it a quest saying that with each sword I made I would get a few summoner points to use in the system shop.

I get started right away and I am occasionally visited by Hephaestus and a few other members of the familia who wanted to see me. I just say hello and answer a few questions and then get back to my work. It takes me a few days but I finally managed to complete all the swords and the same judge came in, whose name I learned is Dave, came in and looked at the swords and whistles saying that he was impressed by my final product and that I could put it on sale if it was my own materials. I thank him and ask if he has anything else for me to do. He says that he doesn't and that I'll be taking the rest of my tasks from Hephaestus herself and that I might be able to be the one who fulfilled Hephaestus' promise to be with the person who can make a product that can impress her.
