Forsaken By Love

Chapter 79 - "You Are Sick!"

"You are sick," He Lixue could not help but finally say the things that had been on her mind for a long time; however, she had been too afraid to speak before.

If he had not threatened her with Lu Nanfeng's well-being, she would not have exploded as she did right now.

"I owe you nothing," she continued. "I already gave you a whole lifetime. I worked hard for you every day. I definitely earned more money for you than what you spent on me. I even died for you!

"Now that I have a second chance in life, I had previously decided that if you ever were in a tight spot, I would naturally help you out, but I had no intention of returning to the abyss.

"You are forcing me to return to the abyss, and as such, I can only cut all ties with you. Even if you were in trouble later, I would not come forth to help you because you are not treating me as a friend or someone important.

"To you, I am nothing more than a tool, a possession, and while I cannot accept that view on life, I am not in a position to try and change your opinion.

"However, while you might have forced me to stay here, I will never stop trying to escape from you; I will never stop fighting against you.

"Will you ever be able to trust my skills again, knowing that I will do everything in my power to drag you down so that I can return to my own life? I doubt it, so why even keep me around? Isn't it better to just let go of the past and move on?"

He Lixue was exasperated, her body was exhausted, and her mind was on the verge of breaking down. Mo Yunhuang was simply not able to think like a normal person, but she still wanted to try and reason with him.

Unfortunately, Mo Yunhuang did not agree with her thoughts, and no matter what she said, he just snorted at it.

"You think that you owe me nothing? You would have died without me! No matter how much you pay me back, it will never be enough!"

"I already died for you!" He Lixue's voice was loud this time, and she did not remember the fear that she had felt at the beginning.

"You saved my life, and I repaid it when my past life ended, I felt the knife penetrate my heart, it was so painful! I felt it twist inside of me, slowly claiming my life, I felt how the world turned into an eternal darkness. This was a sign that everything in the future had nothing to do with you, just let me go already!"

Mo Yunhuang was getting more and more taciturn, his lips were drawn in a straight line, and his eyes flashed menacingly.

He did not say anything else to He Lixue but pressed the voice com, summoning Jiang Wu.

"Lixue is feeling uncomfortable," Mo Yunhuang said to Jiang Wu, "bring her back to her room where she can relax and think her position through."

Hearing this, He Lixue was full of indignation and despair. She had already said this much, but he was not willing to listen to her at all!

This meant that no matter what she said, he would not volunteer to let her go, and thus she had to rely on herself. Her eyes turned solemn and decisive as she looked around for a chance to escape.

Unfortunately, she was once again surrounded by guards, who were high on alert to ensure that she had no chance of escape.

She was returned to the bedroom, where she sat on the bed and began pondering about her options.

While she was deep in thought, others were also quite stressed. Although Mo Yunhuang had seemed unmoved by her words, they had shocked his heart, and he was deeply affected as he sat down and began thinking of whether or not he had done something wrong from the beginning.

But to someone as proud as Mo Yunhuang, it was impossible to acknowledge his errors, and he soon found that it was not solely his fault. He Lixue was also slightly to blame, why could she not see that he genuinely cared about her? Why was she only seeing him as a teacher, and someone who wanted to control her?

While He Lixue and Mo Yunhuang were busy with their own thoughts, Lu Nanfeng was feeling horrible. He was stressed and uncomfortable while waiting for news of He Lixue.

He was seated in the office, leaning back against the chair as he pinched his brows. He felt horrible and guilty, worried and scared.

Just as he was feeling the worst, almost wallowing in self-pity, Assistant Hui suddenly opened the door, and Wen Sihan entered personally.

Wen Sihan had initially not been in the country, but due to the sheer importance of this cooperation, he had hurried over, and now he came with good news to Lu Nanfeng.

"We found her," he said, and Lu Nanfeng, who had previously seemed listless and scared, suddenly felt as if injected with energy. His body jerked, and he lifted his head, looking at Wen Sihan with deep eyes as if he was trying to understand the meaning behind his words fully.

"We found the branch of the Organization that belongs to the Imperial Capital," Wen Sihan continued. "We are certain that she is located within that branch, but as to where she is exactly, we still do not know, and how to get her out is also a question we still have to consider."
