Forsaken By Love

Chapter 7 - Driven Out

He Lixue looked at the three people who were standing in front of her in her ward. Her eyes were cold like a millennium-old glacier, but a slight smile adorned her lips as she looked at them.

"What brings my esteemed uncle and aunt to this sanatorium? As far as I know, you have no interest in seeing me."

"You bitch! Because of you, we are being seen as thieves!" He Huiling could not hold back her anger, and her eyes were glistening with hatred as she looked at He Lixue, as if he could not wait to shred her to pieces.

He Lixue looked at the cousin, but she was unperturbed, clearly not at all affected by her growl.

He Weiling had not stopped his daughter, because he wanted to intimidate He Lixue, but seeing her casual expression, he understood that he had underestimated her greatly. She was not at all affected by the words of her cousin.

"Dearest cousin," He Lixue said with a sweet voice, "You happen to be thieves. Although what you have done is a gray zone, everyone knows that everything you enjoy now belongs to me. Is it too much to let the world see your real colors?"

He Lixue smiled when she saw that all their faces looked as if they had eaten a fly.

"Leave the sanatorium now," He Weiling said suddenly. "We left fifty thousand yuan for you to use, live well, and don't interfere with our lives again. I will pay the price of this treatment in the sanatorium, but not a yuan more will I give you."

Listening to her uncle, He Lixue suddenly began laughing out loud. Her voice was bright and innocent, adorable, and sweet.

"Don't worry, it will not be up to you whether or not I will get my money back," He Lixue said with a grin on her face, making her seem youthful and sweet, but an eerie aura was shrouding her.

He Weiling was shocked to find that he was intimidated by her. He, a grown-up businessman, was scared of a young woman!

He Lixue packed up her things. She had nothing at the sanatorium as she had been delivered here when she was in a coma. The clothes she wore were all different hospital gowns.

All the things she had owned before, her jewels, clothes, and even her room, was taken over by He Huiling.

Smiling slightly, she was not bothered by having to leave the sanatorium in her hospital gown. Now that she had a smartphone, she had already attached her bank account to the various online banking and online cards and wallets, so she was not as helpless as He Weiling thought.

She stretched her body slightly. Although it was a bit too early for her to leave, considering her body was not fully recuperated, He Lixue did not mind it too much. She had encountered many hardsh.i.p.s in her past, and this was nothing to her.

Taking her laptop under her arm and the smartphone in her hand, she headed out from her ward.

He Lixue went to check out, and then she left the sanatorium. Fortunately, this was a very famous sanatorium, so a few taxis were waiting outside. She quickly boarded one of them, asking to be taken to the central district of the capital.

Here she paid the taxi driver before she went to a standard mall that did not seem too upscale, but not too cheap either.

He Lixue was not worried about making money. She was a hacker and could always earn money on the black market if she could not earn anything elsewhere.

Still, she needed to find some clothes and a place to stay for the night . She went to an average store that sold clothes to the common people. It was not upscale, but it was decently priced, and the quality was okay.

Everywhere He Lixue walked, she attracted a lot of attention because she was walking in a hospital gown, but she completely ignored it. Some people even recognized her from the news that had been spread on the social platform. They were filled with pity when looking at her.

He Lixue looked around the store and found some clothes that suited her. A fitting white blouse and a pair of sneakers alongside washed-out white jeans. She bought another set of clothes too and some essentials.

After paying for her purchase, she found a washroom where she quickly changed her clothes.

After this, she went to a hotel. It was not a five-star hotel, but it was still of decent quality. Here she opened a room, after which she entered, locked the door, and plummeted onto the bed. She was exhausted after walking as much as she had.

Sweat was beading on her forehead, and she was slightly panting from the exercise. She was still undergoing rehabilitation. Now that she had been thrown into the big world, she had to stand up for herself.

At the same time, in the sanatorium, Lu Nanfeng suddenly found himself staring at an empty ward. He had seen the news that day and was stunned to see her deal such an impressive attack at He Weiling, so he went to buy some ice cream, which he wanted to give her to celebrate.

Unfortunately, she was no longer at the sanatorium.

He asked the nurse, only to hear that her uncle, aunt, and cousin had visited her earlier and that they were the ones who had chased her out.

Not only had they chased her out, he even heard about the words they had said to her, and his eyes grew dark.

He picked up his phone trying to call He Lixue, but he got slightly nervous when he found that she was not picking up his calls.
