Lu Nanfeng was also quite uncomfortable when listening to He Lixue. He did not know who was behind this, but he trusted her senses. 

He picked up his phone and made a phone call to Assistant Hui. Lu Nanfeng had two assistants; one was Assistant Hui, the other was Assistant Zhang. They specialized in different things, but both were extremely important to Lu Nanfeng.

While Assistant Zhang was dealing with most things that had to do with the Fenghuang Group, Assistant Hui was more of a personal assistant, so this time it was Assistant Hui he contacted.

"Someone is staring at He Lixue. They are leaving no traces, and they are specialists at hiding. Prepare some bodyguards for her, and make sure that they will be caught as soon as possible."

Assistant Hui was surprised. Why would anyone ever try to stare at He Lixue? She had nothing of value any longer; she was just an ordinary citizen.

Lu Nanfeng looked at the two women who had appeared. One was short but sturdy, the other was tall and slim, but seemed to possess a lot of strength.

Seeing this, Lu Nanfeng was pleased and nodded his head. He invited the two women inside, and their eyes lit up when they saw the innocent and cute He Lixue. 

She was petite, her body without any excess fat, her big doe-eyes adorable, and her skin so flawless and pale that it seemed as if she had been smeared in powder. 

He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng spent the next few days glued together, followed closely by the two bodyguards. Lu Nanfeng only left her alone when she was at work, other than that, he was always by her side, even when she was sleeping and eating. 

At this time, in a hotel within the Imperial Capital, the man who had first found the details about He Lixue was seated in a chair, looking out the window. He seemed as if he was in deep thought.

Suddenly his phone called. "Mister Jiang," the voice of the other end of the phone was female, and it contained a lot of respect when speaking to him.

"How is it going?" the man who was referred to as Mister Jiang asked as he looked at the files in his hands. 

"She is constantly together with Lu Nanfeng," the female voice answered. "She seems to be aware that someone is spying on her, but she hasn't found any traces yet. Tell me, is this really He Lixue? Did she fake her death and get cosmetic surgery?"

"No," Mister Jiang said with a slight smile on his lips. "She really did die; there is no question about it. This is another He Lixue, but who cares. Master has not been himself since the death of that woman. 

"Now, another He Lixue appears who has the same signature when coding, the same name, so many coincidences, that I could convince him that she has come back to life. Who cares if she is the original He Lixue or not? We just want Master to think that she is the same He Lixue, and then we will be fine. 

"From her signature when coding and programming, I can see that she is extremely skillful. What we need is a hacker with such skills. And if she can make Master calm down at the same time, then that is for the best."

"But Mister Jiang, she is, after all, a fake. Will Master not notice?"

"As long as she is useful to Master, he will not kill her. When she is no longer useful, who cares about her fate?"

The woman was silent for some time; one could hear her gritting her teeth. "Honestly, the woman is already dead, why should Master miss her so much? She is just a tool, just a vixen he picked up on the road. She does not deserve to be special in Master's heart!

"Well, mister Jiang, it seems that we should capture this He Lixue as soon as possible and send her to Master's side. As to whether or not she survives, that is not our problem. After all, Master is not dumb; he will notice her being a fake soon."

Mister Jiang was silent as he looked down on the doc.u.ments in his hands. He did not believe in reincarnation or rebirth, but he could not help but feel puzzled. 

He, too, had searched up everything about this He Lixue and knew of how she had changed after waking up. That she had never touched hacking or programming before, that she was a demure lady before, who's highest wish was to become a wife of a young master. 

Now she was completely different, both her life and her personality. Even her skill sets and abilities were different. 

If not because he did not believe it was possible, he truly felt as if this was He Lixue who had come back to life.

But the more they felt similar, the better it would be. His Master had truly gone insane after losing her. If she came back, he would revert to the same personality as before, right? 

This was also why he dared hint that He Lixue was reborn. He was so desperate that he would believe anything that might bring her back.

Mister Jiang felt uncomfortable when thinking about the power this woman held over Master. Even worse was that Master did not seem to understand his own feelings and still treated her as his possession.
