Lin Xulian was also aware of it. She knew it was her who was mistaken first, but she could not help but still strive to become Madam Lu, the position that all women aimed to get.

"Do you think that Lu Nanfeng will want to see me?" Lin Xulian hesitantly asked when she heard what Di Zhiqing said, but although she was trying to act hesitant, she really wanted to go.

"I am there, how can he not want to see you?" Di Zhiqing said angrily. Her son was not listening to her anymore, but she still felt that as a mother, he had to be filial. If she wanted him to marry Lin Xulian, then he had no choice but to marry her.

"Well, okay then, let us go and visit Lu Nanfeng." Lin Xulian said as if she was not sure it was a good idea, but had been convinced to go by Di Zhiqing.

They got the driver from the Lu Mansion to drive them towards Lu Nanfeng's Manor.

As they arrived, the housekeeper greeted Di Zhiqing respectfully but pretended not to see Lin Xulian. Seeing that even a servant ignored her, anger burned in her heart, but she pretended to look hurt and understanding.

Seeing her distressed look, Di Zhiqing's eyes darkened as she glared at the housekeeper, but she dared not say anything. She had no power to fire him, as he was hired personally by her son.

"Housekeeper Sun, please inform my son that we are here to talk with him about his marriage to Miss Lin."

Di Zhiqing was angry at the housekeeper's attitude towards Lin Xulian, so she changed her words, which initially were planned on being gentle, to become quite aggressive, but the housekeeper just glanced at the woman.

"Madam Lu, Master has already made it clear that Miss Lin is not allowed inside his residence. Not to mention, Master has only been home to sleep these past many weeks. He is not in."

"Where is he then?" Di Zhiqing asked with narrowed eyes. Housekeeper Sun was originally not planning on telling them the truth, but after seeing the woman whom he disliked, he decided to aggravate her further.

"Master has been spending all his spare time with Miss He recently. They dine together daily. It is not before late in the evenings that he will return to the manor. He will only come back, wash up, sleep, and then go back to work again the following day."

Hearing the words, both Di Zhiqing and Lin Xulian were shocked. Even when Lu Nanfeng was dating Lin Xulian, he did not often spend time together with her, but now he was spending every single minute of his spare time alongside a woman he was not even dating!

Jealousy was eating at Lin Xulian's heart, she wanted to be the one whom Lu Nanfeng spent time with, but it seemed that she was never as important as this woman was. This was simply too embarrassing.

Housekeeper Sun looked at Lin Xulian with a smile on his face. He knew that the words he said would stab her in the heart, but she had betrayed Lu Nanfeng before, and as a loyal servant, he wanted to pay back. She did not deserve Lu Nanfeng at all.
